This is a pretty easy fix, punish contact and quickly reset those with multiple transgressions, a few weeks ban if you keep it up often enough. YES it will annoy you if you hit someone by accident but it seems the lesser of two evils. We basically had this system in GT Sport at one point.

I don’t recall that system in GTS. I started racing in mid-2020. But I agree, it would be better than the status quo where you only get a penalty if you hit another driver off track.

Having said that, it does seem like the SR drop is greater for contact. I accidentally punted someone at RBR and my SR dropped from S to A! Pretty sure there was no other contact.

Slow lobbies for Race A tonight? I figured I'd wind down from a long day at work with a couple of races, not expecting to grab pole positions, FL, and the wins. What a pleasant Wednesday night. 🙂

Serious question: Are middle-of-the-week nights when it's "slow" for the Daily Races? I've only gotten back to doing them with regularity over a week ago after a very long hiatus since GT Sport.

Well, there goes my 1 and only race at Brand's Hatch this week! Never even met the others or had any interaction during the race untl that point. Cheers, donkeys.... ⚰️ 💩

These types of races are currently in the majority. I think only one in three races is clean. It's not about mistakes made because you're inexperienced (like me, for example), but rather deliberate sideways ramming and braking way too late. I also think I've noticed that the AI is more aggressive in offline races. Since I'm old enough to get worked up about things like that, I hardly race anymore. The QT comparison with my friends list is enough for me (which frustrates me enough because I'm too slow ;-) ).
