Race B cut my night short! Pace is picking up some! Driving standards are starting to drop mid B. A lot of desperate drivers. I called a lot of them out! And they settled in and was faster! Nobody is braking on he 1st corner just a send, I was able to go from 11th to a comfortable 4th, my last race of the night
It seems like a majority of A/B drivers are more hasty and aggressive in the B races, I noticed that when I did mine back in 2023-2024. I'll add you as a friend when I get my ps5 back, hopefully a high quality one. When the crowd gets rough, always steer clear and stay back until they calm down otherwise you may get in a crash and you'll lose your good positions. Just a tip and reminder for you when you're in high-level races.

Being cautious, aware of your surroundings and being a little slow is better than being fast and not paying attention all for getting to first or second place. That's why I don't worry about winning every single race.

For sure man, I don't either, enjoying the steps! I'd rather be consistent than anything! And yes I'd enjoy friends, so I'm not at the top of my 1 friend list

I wasn't on the top, in fact the best I ever got on my friends list was 10-15th, it varied from week to week but it was fine with me. What mattered was I was learning from my friends driving techniques and watching their replays or listening to their advice and tips. we weren't in online lobbies but we helped each other out to gain SR and DR together. Once you do about 200-300 races you'll start to get a hang of the rules and regulations, and always watch out for contact penalties. Sometimes they are strict and can affect your time.

If you do catch a penalty, you'll serve it once you cross the yellow line shown here.

This 2nd place finish really boosted my confidence coming back to Daily Races. Since firing up GT7 again just this past holiday season and after a hiatus since GT Sport in 2020, I had been so apprehensive about coming back to racing against other players online. I wanted to shake off all the rust inmediately, but I didn't want to be ruining other people's races by going too hard too soon.

Surviving this race long hounding from two other players, with some hard racing thrown in.... I'm sure a win would've felt good, but this 2nd place finish showed me that maybe I didn't lose as much of my racecraft as I thought. šŸ™‚

Got a rare win today! Been a scrappy, frustrating, week at RBR, lots of door banging and dive bombing, but finally had a clean race. Started P9, got up to the sharp end with two drivers battling behind me, and then P1 binned it on the last lap. The two guys battling behind ended up P3 and P4 and were thanking each other for the clean racing in the chat. Makes a nice change from the usual name calling!

Racing in race B and C was mostly great, beccause i was lucky to have at least 2 friends in each race and it seems that the malicious drivers dont like to punt people who chat a lot before the race. Anyway, i am really disappointed by the soft tyres. Even in the r. S. 01 Renault after 2 quali laps i still wasnt planted to the tarmac.
 
Have had mostly positive results in race B so far this week, always like Brands as I consider it my ā€˜homeā€™ track, being about half an hour up the road from home. Had several good races but couldnā€™t overtake except where others made mistakes.

Took 0.3 off my QT on Wednesday and that put me on pole last night, and finally managed to get it done with two wins, which is always nice (Iā€™ve only got about a 4% win ratio!).

Race C on the other handā€¦.Iā€™m sure I did ok there when we had Gr3 with RS tyres there recently, but just canā€™t seem to get anything like a competitive time this time around.

Itā€™s tempting to spam race B and get into DR A for another short visit, but that would be very much based on group 4 results only!!
 
@Mc_Yavel, I was watching your battle for the lead from behind, and I was rooting for you to take that W! Even my boy was next to me watching you race, while forgetting that I had to defend my position from the guy behind me. šŸ˜

And where do they put you on the grid ?(I guess you drive in high B DR ?)
Race B feels too much like a gamble to me .. with a 30.713 time In low B, I start anywhere from 2nd to 5th but can finish anywhere depending on my luck during the race(best 2nd, worst dead last). I prefer not to risk it anymore
I have the same experience as you for race C , with a 28.815 I know I could be a little faster(like low 28's) but its not slow by my standards. However it puts me above 10 000th place on the global ranking I'll 100% start in the last five of the grid
I did no race C so far because it feels like I have no pace at all on this combo..

Impressive B time, definetely beyond my skills !
For race C I think I spent 1hour to reach the 28's. Wanted to be in the 27's but quickly saw it was not gonna happen :) :)
Not sure I'll do more dailys this week but I sure have some work to do before we meet on track :D
In the meantime you'll find me doing CEs and online TTs šŸ’Ø..

LB counts for nothing if you cannot survive the race (like me) lol so would prefer to be in your position. Kind of like Liam Lawson getting the Red Bull seat ahead of Yuki and then binning it twice in 2 races šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‹
 
I'm mid pack for Race C and I can't improve. I HATE HATE HATE that GR3 Supra. I know it's irrational, but there's something about using it that turns me off.

As long as the DR goes up, it's a win I suppose. 5th is the best i can muster this week.

See I love the SUpra, it gels with my driving style and the AT as well. It seems to be telepatheic in shifting down and also the rear gets JUST wobbly enough at BB+4 so I can be really aggressive on entry and still rotate.

I saw you used the Lancer and gave it a whirl, I managed a 29 flat in qualy but in races it lacked legs a bit, it feels good though.

Itā€™s really really fun dominating lobbies and then itā€™s really really humbling to be chucked at the back as filler.

The issue is the mid pack racing is really a bit meh most of the time, some people get it and will race for one or two positions, some freebies etc but then there are those guys who want to be at the front and no offence to anyone they typically arenā€™t.

Barney and Gurzu must be in crazy lobbies Iā€™m 650th in the world and starting 5th in mixed but mostly B lobbies. Crazy, whoā€™s doing daily A and C??? Especially we strip regions out of it

I posted about this yesterday. Iā€™m my usual ~3 seconds off the fastest time in the world in C and was surprised that Iā€™m ranked only ~15,000th!

This seems a big change. Usually with that relative time I am ~3-5,000th.

Iā€™m absolutely done with this game, typically I can out drive idiots and to be fair there arenā€™t loads of them.

What I canā€™t race is push to passholes, constantly, Iā€™m in lobbies that are the top 600 people in the world, not starting at the front and of those 600 people ahead of me about 1/3 are from regions I canā€™t race against.

So youā€™d imagine a bit of car control, maybe some better speed management, and a bit of thinking.

Youā€™d be wrong. I am done for a while with this stuff. The reason they can ram me is because I wasnā€™t ramming the guy in front. Pathetic standards ā€œyou braked to earlyā€ no you utter moron ā€œI braked so I didnā€™t hit the car in front, brake markers are for TT the actual cars around you are your brake markersā€

Iā€™m so so so pissed right now, Iā€™m gonna step away from racing for a bit, life is busy and I donā€™t need my down time to feel like this.

Just had a couple of races, started 5th finished 2nd, great clean race, everyone leaving space etc, feels great.

Next race start 4th with 3x 4C in front so I think Iā€™ll have these for breakfast šŸ¤£ anyway, dispatch the first one into T1, catch up to the p2 and pass him and the weasel puts me in the gravelā€¦. Soā€¦. This is what keeps me in B I think, I get back and pull up to him again but I just canā€™t help putting him in the gravel!

Donā€™t get a pen mind but I do slow down for him, not sure why, but the other 4C gets through too and we finish as we start.

šŸ˜¤ I think I just expect too much, but I do love brands

Like the Supra you have to give it some +BB. I used +5 for my qualifying. It has the horsepower to pull away from most of the others on the straights, even the Supra. You really have to thrash it!!! Go deep into the redline before upshifts and bounce it off the rev limiter on downshifts
