@newmedia_dev, come detox in Race A for the weekend.

The circuit's not conducive to battering rams, and the spec car's not capable of it anyway. If you find yourself in the mix with other drivers it can still provide hard but clean racing, and if you're alone the circuit layout's got good flow to get in the zone for a short but sweet 10-lapper. 🙂

Just seen @Barney Da Dog murdered :( didn’t even put a yellow bow on him, just a brutal killing.

Edit:
I’m absolutely done with this game, typically I can out drive idiots and to be fair there aren’t loads of them.

What I can’t race is push to passholes, constantly, I’m in lobbies that are the top 600 people in the world, not starting at the front and of those 600 people ahead of me about 1/3 are from regions I can’t race against.

So you’d imagine a bit of car control, maybe some better speed management, and a bit of thinking.

You’d be wrong. I am done for a while with this stuff. The reason they can ram me is because I wasn’t ramming the guy in front. Pathetic standards “you braked to early” no you utter moron “I braked so I didn’t hit the car in front, brake markers are for TT the actual cars around you are your brake markers”

I’m so so so pissed right now, I’m gonna step away from racing for a bit, life is busy and I don’t need my down time to feel like this.

Stay safe peeps but I’m out

Nice to see you there, yeah that was an annoying moment - similar in some following races. I know what you mean about contact - I can usually go a great many races without touching the car ahead - but will receive contact in many races, and sometimes multiple times in a lap! Maybe I'm too slow.

If they did a mandatory stop in every race at least it would give an opportunity to get away from the puntfest and maybe better racing

This is the thing that boils my piss, because it doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are it’s the lack of ability of the person behind.

This is why I’m done for a while, it’s not hard to anticipate and just brake a fraction earlier. I understand for some controller users dialing in how much might take some practice but in a top 1000 lobby full of nearly A and A guys it’s less of an excuse at that point.

A+ lobbies run mostly top B or A pace, the difference is they aren’t sweating positions everywhere mostly, just all keeping up and picking the moments.

The difference is 10% pace and 90% decision making.

I can drive faster and slower but I refuse to continue to race people that think places are that important. If they only do one race a year fair, do the best, but when it’s 6 races in a row. Nah they are just fukwits at that point.

I actually think some of the best races I've had there this week have had almost zero overtaking - just flat out and hoping for an error.

I threw away P3 here against a couple of top 50 guys. But I was quite impressed with my recovery 🤣

So guys, I did finally 3 races at Brands, after a week spent trying to find some consistency, wich is coming lil by lil. QT is at 1:29.9 (29.7 ideal), so I shaved more than 1 sec from my best with the Lambo. I admit the NSX can be sketchy in some corners, but it's quite strong in terms of "breaking the slipstream" at first corner after the start. Then is really just matter of keeping a decent pace without mistakes. Since TM, two weeks ago, I was eager to use it with my livery. A solid win of the 3rd one (from pole) is encouraging for the weekend, while in the 1st and 2nd I messed up as usual. This weekend is on me, if I don't make stupid mistakes, I've got a lot to gain. So, fingers crossed.

@newmedia_dev, @Barney Da Dog, feeling for you guys, in my 2nd race I was "pitstopped" at last lap, intentionally... From a very polite driver. Driving standards are way lower than usual nowadays imho, and yes; something bad is in the water.
Nevertheless I wish everyone a great racing weekend.

Reached B on my second week, but only like 4 victories out of 120 races.

I focused on race C, laptime around 1'30, qualifying just under 1'29. Race B I kept having bad results and cannot figure out why, best lap was 1'33''2.

Some questions: I initially created my PSN account in Europe but now live in Asia. Im only racing against Euro players. It seems ok tho, connectivity wise. Does the system match by IP, or by PSN region? Should I change anything?

I noticed lots of players have much better qualifying times than me, but clearly do not show such skills in race. What can it be? Account sharing maybe?

I've had a few great races, where, they'd thought about an overtake, and then brake early! Trying to cause a mistake! It was fun, running and just waiting for a mistake, a lot of people are just running you wide, or bump drafting a few seconds late, causing you to run wide!

On a side note, I've noticed people try and flash their lights in corners? And stop on the straights! Seems like when they do that, they end up messing themselves up more than the person in front of them

Race B still seems to be racing well and good, got a win against an NSX who had been getting the better of me all weekend, also got my QT down to 1.30.3xx and literally lost 2tenths on the last corner whilst I was tensed up 🤣

Hope you’re all having some good racing where you are

You did well to beat P3 too - he's been winning a lot of races this week!

Lights are mapped to the left analogue stick press by default on controller. It's quite easy to unintentionally press it in braking zones.

My flickering ghost is testament to it (yeah, I've changed my controller settings 😁 ).

Hotlapping and racing require two different sets of skills. Seems some people only have one.

It’s easy to bang laps in with a ghost and hitting reset.

Because the AI is so bad, a lot of players don’t get enough practice that would help their race craft.

Then you put a bunch of humans together with varying pace, car control and temperaments and it is well a bit “lord of the flies”

The dirty drivers are getting to me too now. I need a track that I'm really good at to appear so I can drive away from these morons.

I genuinely got a fright with this crash 😮 I was watching the guy behind start to come by, when suddenly a car is almost stopped in front of me.

And I got a 5 second penalty for causing it apparently.

I suspect the NSX was trying to take out a certain dirty chap that was in front of me, but sadly he got me instead.

I did manage to win one eventually, but again this was due to dirty driving in front of me 😕
