Ok so had a quick lunch time session, tried a few cars at Monza and the Genesis is still the fastest for me. The RCF can match it's times in my hands but less consistent. The Supra feels ok but time just not there, the GTR feels absolutely amazing, light, agile and responsive but must be a total dog in a straight line as it is a solid second or so slower than anything else I tried.

Before the category was turned on it's head I qualified with a 47.9 and that felt about all I can do, I just ran a 49.7 and maxed out sectors 2 and 3, likely dropped 3 tenths or so in sector 1 so feel I can do a 49.4. So basically around 1.5 seconds per lap. In race I was turning flat 49's when hustling last night, today low 50's were touch, regularly on 50.5 so there's that 1.5 seconds again.

You will need to adjust braking point, considerably shorter now as you're just plodding along due to the lack of ponies. I did manage 3 wins from 3 races today so I must be half competitive before the fast guys get on tonight. I am now 95% of the way to DRA, I feel like I am going to get exposed there but let's see what happens.

Good work 👍

Haha I found the best way to miss the carnage is qualify P1 with the Genesis which leaves the SUpra and 911 for dust off the start and clear off into the distance.

What I am noticing though is I am losing 3 to 4 tenths exiting the first chicane. It is not wheelspin, I gain a tenth or so on entry and absolutely nail my apex but struggle to rotate and straighten the car, I am late on the gas. I had the same issue at RBR at turn 3 (the tight uphill right hander). Keep in mind I am losing these 3 to 4 tenths to guys I am lapping a second a lap faster than, so it is likely half a second to peers. I gain gobs of time through parabolica, both entry, mid corner and exit I am vanishing up the road vs B drivers.

You aren’t carrying enough coasting speed, and turning fast enough in the chicane which is going to be where you are losing time.

Do you watch the ghosts? Like watch throttle inputs and braking, you should be accelerating as you straighten for the exit of the chicane, I can take 1st or 2nd but the top guys are just quicker with the lines and balancing the throttle

Complete **** show

Ended up with the GTR as it feels nice and improved my QT to 51.1 but what is it with passing people and have them effin turn you?

** this ** I’ll wait for gr4 next week hopefully they are not so fat and slow like these GD gr3 cars

Well it is the fastest I’ve been in too, I’m not a fan of keep changing cars because it’s false economy I usually stick with the car I out the fastest time in, I’m just getting dragged into the gutter with Monza so I’m going to race those Arbarth for a day or two.

This week is just turning on its head for me this week,

Rant over,

It felt amazing, I exited Parabolica thinking man this will be FAST and jebus a 52.2. So went again and really hustled, 51.7. Genesis I did a 49.7 and left 3 tenths out there. I don't think the GTR has the legs.

Ok maybe I’ll try the genesis before the weeks out 😁
I didn’t like it after the update, it’s a pick your poison thing. Suffer the Supra short shift or modulate the Genesis. With the Lexus I have absolutely no idea how to drive it. Yet there is a person on my leaderboard that has actually done something with it and they are a bit of a loose unit to be honest.

I honestly think some of you faster guys should try the more nervous cars with TC1. The Genesis really scoots out of corners and TC1 is pretty dang weak and will give you more confidence to lay the boot in.

I can’t use traction control I have to say, my problem is not throttle control at all I’d say it’s getting the damn thing stopped correctly and turned,

There’s definitely something in the brake/coast/accelerate - I just need to explore it more

I’m just frustrated because usually by now I’ve got a good QT nailed and the weekend is set, I’m still nowhere near knowing which car or what I’m doing in it 🤨

The week is a write off already and anything closely resembling a win has been rammed off me 😁

I set a top 500 time in both the Genesis and Supra with no aids.

The be Genesis is the car I liked the most but the supra (in vr) drives better I just don’t like the short shifting.

There are other cars that are viable especially in race.

I personally avoid TC where I can, possibly it can be quicker and I have no opinion on aids, just have fun go fast and be safe!

I hear ya, my week effectively ends on a thursday too as i watch TV* with the mrs friday through sunday nights.

*We search for a show, there's been nothing solid since Breaking Bad or Dexter so I get bored and work on my laptop until she passes out and I watch old F1 races.

Sons of anarchy, house, blacklist, severance, any bbc police drama

There is a metric tonne of stuff that is good to watch!

Sons of Anarchy was OK, rest bored me to tears. Last good show was the Dexter prequel and before that Last of Us.... shows tend to bore me, i prefer movies.
Silicon Valley or superstore are epic bite sized watches. Manifest was good, person of interest, timeless there are so many good series to watch with the missus. Gangs of London is what we are watching now.

Daily Race A in these mom cars is really proving to be one of the trickier combinations I've seen!

Qualifying is relatively straight forward (once you get grips with the car and the bizarre tyre/road interactions), but sharing Suzuka with others in close proximity is really daunting.

Luckily so far I've been in friendly lobbies where accidents are permissable and it's 90% close, clean thrills.

Finally had some seat time to do more than collect daily marathon tickets.

Race A: A112 Abarth '85 - 2:21.733

Race B: NSX Gr.3 - 1:51.081

race C: GR010 HYBRID '21 - 3:31.373

Maybe I'm trippin, but after the update, the feedback on a G29 feels a bit more numb than I remember. Also, the NSX Gr.3 and GR010 felt less sketchy accelerating out of slow corners.

The new BOP is awful, it's like we're racing in fuel map 6. The racing is like Gr4 now where there is 10 minutes of people driving into each other rather than any actual skill.

Edit: On top of the racing being crap and the cars boring to drive they're even less balanced than they were before the update!

Well, maybe just keep the TCS at a 3 for better stability of whatever car you choose to use. Have you been watching Tidgney's guides and paying attention to them? He gives good helpful tips on where to brake and what speed you need to keep your car at. A steady pace is useful too. Good luck and keep us updated on your progression this weekend.

Another good night at Monza, a win and a few podiums, bouncing back and forth between top 3 starts in B rooms and mid pack in A rooms.

Again though I was ghosted going into T1 on lap 1, the game is broken. Yes I am going very slow but that's because of the cars in front all tripping over each other. The game ghosts me, I suspect because people behind are going way too fast. Thing is though, they just drive right through me and once one does it they all do and I am punished for being careful. One race I was the only B driver, started p10, I was careful turn one, got ghosted and was p14 by the chicane exit. Bleh.

Anyways, a really good week, felt on top of the car, was hustling and enjoyed the racing. All hail the Boost Mobile Hyundai.

Firts try after BoP's updates, just few laps at Monza and I thougth an oil change was needed. Actually it was, but the car after the change wasn't really "willing" to rev up. It is what it is, we're all on the same slower boat, apparently. I feel like the track limits penalties are lil relaxed btw, especially at the 2nd variante. QT/pace wise I agree with @NevilleNobody there's ar. 1.5 sec difference. lets see if we can decrease it to 1 sec adapting to the new braking marks and car behavior.

Well I'm not a fan of Gr3's changes 😐
Can brake much later, mash the throttle and take more corner speed without having to worry much. Just feels like Gr4 AWD to me.
Me either.

I did quite a lot of testing yesterday with my former go-to in Gr3 at Monza, the Huracan, and after that I tried the "new" Lexus.

Basically, the Lexus is my new go-to car now. Brakes like a demon, turns in beautifully, and with TC1 on I can just about manage oversteer and tyre spin on corner exit. Pre-patch, the Lexus was a no go for me, I lacked the throttle control for it, and I found it to feel heavy on turn-in. Not so any more. I got a 1:49.7 on controller, with a 1:49.4 possible optimal (all with controller). Huracan could not match that.

Not only was it slower on the straight, I also found the Huracan could not handle weight transfer through Ascari as well as before, and understeering on corner exit from the Lesmos' and Parabolica became hugely annoying after driving the pointy lexus.

In the Daily Races, the GTRs were doing very well, as was the Genesis. Supra was performing just okay. Didn't see too many 911's. Saw some guy in an RCZ (got a nice buff in update), he started and finished mid field. (This is B/S rating).

Overall, the races played out in a more processional way. The Gr3's are easier to drive across the board. On one hand, this has made the the FR cars more accessible for me, so I like that. On the other hand, the reduced challenge made for less crashes, abd the reduced chance of someone binning it all by themselves made the races a bit more predictable. Not sure yet whether I like that or not.

I know this one is on me, but, I've been driving the 911 exclusively for Gr.3. This patch completely neutralized the car. I drive with the throttle a lot, which is tough when there's no hp to back it up. Pretty sad when the Cayman a class down is more lively to drive. Kaz should be ashamed of himself...he's all about the 'soul' of automobiles and then gives us a Prius patch.

I didn't think this game needed two Porsche entries in the Gr.4 category, but here we are. Maybe I'll change my mind after I run some races but officially have zero desire to do so. Was looking forward to this evening as I've the TV all to myself and this patch just nuked that, lol.

Pretty sure this is what we get for complaining about the quality of driving...speed limiters.🤣
