500 wins?

View attachment 1439759

That's meant to say nerd, you get the drift.

Edit: it’s all about the clean races and top 5s to be fair.

It’s actually more than that if you add my Alt EU and US account wins and they have better ratios than my main account. But the US races are getting tougher now so running my main.

Good Sunday at Monza, rather clean and fair, but there's always the "buddy" that tries to kill you for half lap. Then you take it easy, till someone takes the fastest lap. Normally on that last lap, with more than 4 sec of advantage, a wise guy just bring it home... Not me, not this time.
The solid Sunday pace brought me back to DR A, eventually.

Awesome effort mate, but that punt into the second chicane just says it all about this week,

Really I don’t know why I haven’t gelled with Monza, most tracks I’m there in with a shot of top 5 at least

I’m actually glad of race A this week, some immense racing and slowly taking tenths of my 2.19.8xx and then @newmedia_dev comes along and takes half a second of it like it ain’t no thing 🤣

Let’s see what next week brings, Renault Kangoo race and hopefully a look at gr4 post update, I need to get back being competitive in the gr races

I finally decided to do this week’s race A. Why was I wasting my time at Monza when this glorious madness existed?

I wish there was a way to save the custom tune for some races with Sophy.

If PD aren’t going to update the race car roster they should focus on more events like this, and make them ranked.

I hear ya, my week effectively ends on a thursday too as i watch TV* with the mrs friday through sunday nights.

*We search for a show, there's been nothing solid since Breaking Bad or Dexter so I get bored and work on my laptop until she passes out and I watch old F1 races.
Try Loudermilk on Netflix. Let me know what you think if you do

Appreciate 🙏. I honestly was luky to smell it from the beginning, when he left the brakes at the 1st variante. My mark is the 100m board at the start, so he couldn't really kill me there, even trying. Then I was basically ready at the 2nd variante, moreover at the 2nd Lesmo's (my rear was aleady ruined by his first hit). You're right, this is a good exemple of how a loud idiotic minority is taking the fun out of the game. Yesterday, just to say, I got the pleasure to start my 1st race in a mixed A-B lobby where everybody was calling each other from previous races, I assume. Well, the "guy" most called dirty made in fact a carnage worty of one "Pleb of the week"s Oscar. One strange thing; no one of all DR A drivers was SR S. There were 50/50 SR A and B (desperados), while (we) all DR B were SR S. Of all the mixed lobbies I joined, only one had all SR S drivers. Usually I used to be mixed with higher DR categories, but at least with the same SR. Is this an other funny change from the last patch?

Well I got a nice lap in the Ferrari round Monza - 1.48.958 - was 2 tenths up on the next lap but got an awkward bounce exiting the 2nd chicane.

Also managed a very tight win, after starting P3. Then started the next race in P14 🤣 Saw @GOTMAXPOWER there too.

Not sure what was up with this guy 😐

I normally prefer a sad ending over a good one. But you ramming the pit wall, left me mad, outrageous and filled with hate. When someone divebombs, then you know what kind of individual is behind the wheel. I have the impression that those, who drive like the gtr are the most self entitled and arrogant living things. They believe, that Hamilton would do the same, but isn't as good as this pocket Django, that's why we never see it in a real race..... I have to club some bunnies now, thank you🤬.......but, that crash must have been a blast wearing VR goggles 😉

On top of the crap update, this is starting to boil my pee,

2 weeks on the bounce we’ve had these weird track limit circuits where you go through and think “damn it, that’s a pen” and nothing, you go through following the same ghost and think “that was a nice line/exit” and BANG! Track limits.

Infuriating. Especially in VR where I feel I can place the car very accurately.

As i tried a lap in every car and really tried to figure out, why i got a penalty in the amg, while in the Genesis i didnt. Even though i followed the same line and took the orange thingy on the left side of the first chicane even harsher than in the benz. After all my studies, i had a final conclusion

As someone who’s been playing a lot of DnD recently it is clear the track limits are just decided by a die roll. Just gotta hope for that nat 20.

It’s really really tight on the angle of the entry, if you take it tight it’s going to punish you.

At your pace I know you know this, but take the first part really late, coast, cut in and go (if you are really pushing for time, you need to be loading the throttle as you turn left but carefully)

Rather late in the week, I discovered Race A was fantastic! No wins, but a few 2nds and 3rds - every lobby I had had a guy on pole by 1 second - 37th fastest time I think, so there wasn't much chance of catching him.

The racing reminded me of some good old GT Sport races, road cars with a bit of grip and decent brakes - a good recipe for fun. I've enjoyed several A races recently, but sort of wish the DR was affected.

@newmedia_dev Wow, congrats on the 500 wins. That is impressive considering you started a little over 2 years ago. I'm not worried about my progression with winning. I learned that being myself is much better than worrying about trying to be faster and better than the A and B drivers. It is important to have fun and not take racing so seriously. We all have to be grateful for what PD has provided for us with gt7 and the daily races/BoP regulations and other stuff.

So you'll probably be at over 6000 races by maybe August or September depending on how you space them out. Good luck.

I did most of my week in Race A and had a blast! Then I came here to people complaining about the GR3 post update, close the tab and went back to the little pocket car and had a blast.

Hope next week deliver this kind of race again.

Hello, maybe a stupid question, but which app is this and is it also available for the iPhone?

Back to the regulaly scheduled programming for this week's dailies.

A - the new Vantage road car on sports mediums at Fuji "short"
B - Gr4 at Catalunya no chicane - 6 laps, racing hards
C - Gr3 at GVH1 - 9 laps - hards & softs - 6x wear on the tyres may spice things up a little

I miss the little A112s already. Don't really like racing stock road cars, much prefer tuned versions on proper tyres. There's so many one-makes they could run that would mirror real-life series and provide fun close racing. Miatas, Minis, Clios, etc. I really should just bite the bullet and switch over to PC for that stuff.

Daily B is Gr4 at Catalunya for 6 laps(!) this week.
Daily C is 9 laps at Grand Highway 1 in Gr3. Tyre wear x6 with Hards and Softs mandatory.

I like the look of both races, and I like both tracks. That said, if Daily B turns into an AWD yawnfest, I will definitely be going with C.

Lol you beat me by like a minute haha. Great minds and all that.

Gr4 Catalunya should be decent and let’s see what the update looks like on those cars, didn’t like the Aston in that TT and don’t like Fuji, so hope my weeks not over before it starts 😁

There wasn't any change to the Gr4 BoP so it should be just as it was - a Lambo fest with a sprinkling of the Genesis and maybe the old Alfa.

EDIT - hopped on YT to watch a few streamers. A huge amount of GT-Rs, some Huracans and a hero in the Citroen.

Just as the Daily Races end this week and we get a new batch, I get into the stride of the Lemans Daily Race C, wish we had more Gr.1/Le mans proto like races! Endurance racing needs to be part of Daily Races or even a weekly race maybe?

Either I've stroked out and lost my long-term memory, or Daily Race C having both Required Tyre Type and a mandatory Minimum No. of Pit Stops is... new? I only recall ever have seen Minimum Stops on its own or with Tyre Type Change, not just with Tyre Type...

This weeks daily races all seem like good fun.

Race A: The Aston in is a bit boaty but isn't frustrating despite that, once you get used to the weight of the car and the brakes not being very effective it's quite nice to drive and it's a good decision to remove the double hairpin (or chicane as some call it). A decent length race too.

Race B: Gr4 isn't my thing but this is about as good of a Gr4 race as you're going to get, fun circuit and close racing, it's just a shame the BOP is what it is so the GT-R is the obvious meta, maybe in the lower lobbies you'll get a bit more variety on the grid though.

Race C: This one is pretty fun, the high tyre wear compensates for the cars being piss easy to drive with the new BOP and you have to make strategy choices on whether to get a big undercut on those around you and suffer later or take advantage of better tyres towards the end, again the BOP lets it down though, some cars like the Porsche are so far down on power you'll never be able to pass on the run from the chicane up to turn 1.

That had me a little confuzzled in the first race of the day. I knew we had a compulsary stop, I knew we had RS and RH available. But I was trying to remember if I needed to switch from Softs to Hards, or could just bolt on a new set of Softs. Luckily the UI told me RH was compulsary as I pitted, so I got it right.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races: Vantage Point

The last set of Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races before the GT World Series gets underway this week begin today, giving you a final chance to get your Driver Rating where you want it to be before the flagship esports series kicks off...

If you want variety in your Gr.3 daily race grids, this is probably going to be the best week of the year for it - nobody seems to have figured out the new BoP meta yet, and you'll have people sticking to their Manufacturers car as well, so lots of different cars are likely to show up.

I want to do longer races but just not a fan of Grand Valley as a race track, tends to be utter bedlam and it is very awkward. It feels like a good circuit to try out nicely tuned road cars for a tune and cruise lobby with some mates.

So Race B it is, I was gonna say I think the GTR will be tough to beat because I am usually slow through the last chicane at Trial Mountain but last time we were there I was eating guys in the GTR and Catalunya has a lot of twisty bits. May need to find a new liery, my 80's Peter Jackson one is betting a bit tired, maybe go for the Skaife/Richards Winfield jobbie.
