GT7 July Update Prediction

This situation highlights just how bad is PD at communication.
They literally say nothing.
Just say something, make a tweet, a post your site, but say something.
"We know you expected an update for july 27th, but we are delaying it by 2 weeks. You will be getting a bigger update..."

But we were never promised an update in July? Like Kaz has said in the past, it's just an coincidence that the updates have been monthly. So don't expect it to be the same every month.

Thats not the point. The point is they say nothing.
How hard is to post something telling us that this month things will a little bit diferent than usual?
And I know Kaz said that monthly updates will not happen every time. I just think thats not an excuse to say nothing.

Strike last - I should have confirmed the faked screenshot.

I just re-read the GR Corolla article.

August 7th is when the update's dropping, then. I had initially thought it would just be a maintenance patch, but it seems that's when our load of monthly content is coming.

Not sure if this means the end-of-month August update will be skipped, though I hope not.

That's what I theorized in my last post. Early August update, then none until late September (developers can go on vacation too).

And if so they plan to introduce what? 5 cars at most and 4 new events in the space of three summer months? Honestly the lack of worthy content in these last updates has been worrying....

If only sharing road-map with players would solve the issue of waiting/guessing/blaming/whatever 🙄 I know, I know...it is what it is, PD/Kaz is reluctant to change.
There's only a need for a roadmap if something new and interesting is coming to the game - like the return of seasonal events or shuffle mode, for instance. If all we're getting until GT8's launch is the same old 3-5 cars and events every month, with a track thrown in there every 4-5 months, then I don't see a purpose for one.

My July prediction is, 3 or 4 cars update.
Car 1 = 2018 model or Newer
Car 2 = Car from leaked list
Car 3 = Returning Standard now in Premium form.
Car 4 = another one of the above....

Possible Brands: (% each)
12.5% - Nissan or Porsche
8.3% - Suzuki
6.25% - Ford, Subaru or Toyota

Possible Track:
Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Canada (some files seen in GT7)

My Guess of Cars
  • Ferrari 812 Superfast, 2019
  • Porsche 911 [993] GT2 Evo, 1997
  • Lamborghini Diablo GT2, 1998
  • Toyota Celica 1600GT, 1970

Toyota Celica 1600GT 1970.jpg

So at the end all of us were wrong as it seems there is not July update🥴🥴🥴

Yet not everything is lost, we may still have some chances of shilouettes dropping tommorow. However, it is unlikely giving the fact that the Corolla is dropping on 7th August which might indicate that the update will likely be out on that day.

Yes I remember that date on the Corolla GR announcement, it reminds that in GT Sport something similar happened as we didnt get an update in Oct 2018 but November one was released on the first week (opposed to last week as usual) Screenshot_20230724-081337_Chrome.jpg

My predictions...

The new Canadian track with a 5 lap Sunday cup race 5,000cr
A super formula race 15 laps for 10,000cr

Two new cars
mc24-yar-prem-06-pr-scaled_w1200_h900.jpg
nissan-skyline-r33-S4632427-1.jpg

And a re balance taking the la sarthe 700 30 min race reward down to a sensible 110,000cr
Likewise with the Tokyo in the wet

At least one new race event where we will be starting from the back, rolling start, half a lap down and you need a car that can lap 6 seconds quicker to win.
Plus other things that won't actually help fix the single player which is so linear and poorly executed that I'm genuinely waiting for GT8 for a decent single player experience again.

I think I'm in with a chance to get my predictions right here lads! 😜

New track is pretty much guaranteed at this point. If you're expecting even more than that, I'm afraid you've got the wrong game.

I would expect that at least, otherwise I would be pretty dissapointed. The thing is that it's going to be (if it turns to be) the only substantial update since February I think, and I really doubt they're going to push another update for late August, so this summer we're getting basically that (and I emphasize that I'm not sure that we're going to get the track).

From a marketing standpoint, I’d be shocked if they DID NOT push the update to coincide with the movie release. Logic would also tell me that said update would be fairly substantial too
What difference does it make?

I'd consider the update they did the big physics overhaul to be a substantial one too to be fair; that and VR are IMO the big standout things from the updates this year.

Well none, now.

….being that pushing the update for marketing purposes, seems to be exactly what they’re doing.

But since I’m going to post in this thread again, I think the LFA will be part of the incoming cars. New Canadian track. New round of Sophy events - one of them involving normal AI that’s cranked up. QOL improvements for VR. A true to life SP endurance series. BOP adjustments for sport mode. No physics changes - yet.

Hello guys I'm new in GTPlanet
I want to discuss about the next update and I think that the update will be released this Tuesday.
The thing that the silhouettes haven't been shared isn't new, like the Update when the SF23 got released.
This is my prediction

3 new cars
Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak (The car connected with the new race track)
Castrol Mugen NSX (from old GTs)
A Japanese Road Car (probably the Lancer Evo VII or VIII

New Track Pikes Peak.
The reason about this is a secret post of Nenkai which an Italian GT Youtuber made an all Live about this.

2 new Extra Menus
One about Pikes Peak probably

Improved Custom Races

New Events

Thanks for listening

Maybe too as the Japanese Road Car the LFA

I can confirm that there are no posts from his Twitter post July 17th. However, on the off chance it is real, a proper wagon! 🥳🎉🎇🎆

Nevermind, it's probably that Toyota GR thing. 😮‍💨

And what looks like the Toyota GT1 from the 90s.

Is that a Gremlin?
