There's a generic 'thou shalt not cheat' line in the PSN terms of service as well as one specifically around cheats around virtual items/currency.

Using the banhammer (or other measures, like rolling back accounts) would be fueling the fire and piss off players even further for sure, but Sony haven't exactly shown empathy for the customer lately. There is definitely precedence with other publishers/devs and other games regarding banwaves for exploits (GTA Online and a few MMOs come to mind).

I'd certainly be careful around this, even if only playing single player (since it's an always-online title, meaning the PSN terms of service apply). Maybe do it on a throwaway account instead of your main one (that has all your other games on it)?
