GT7 problems [Opinion - Caution: nitpicks]

I never played the game, because I don't have an PS4/PS5 yet. In addition to this, Sony completely got rid of Russians' access to play their exclusive games, including Gran Turismo 7. And that's terrible, because it (badly) impacts lives of civilians. Okay, let's go for more issues, shall we?

This game is overpriced, even for a full-priced AAA game.

It requires internet for a single-player mode, which is completely unacceptable.

The body customization is tame, compared to Forza series.

Low payment for progression. Thankfully it was solved with updates.

What do you say? My uncle also wants to buy it and play it so badly. He also condemned developers not letting us Russians to play the game.

So the actions of your President and his government in Ukraine isn't impacting the lives of civilians, not just in the invaded territory but right across Europe?

Grow up and get educated about what's going on.

It's sanctions, and many companies started to quit Russia in desperation to save the Ukraine, unaware of how it impacts the lives of citizens in Russia. Sony was one of them.

The OP just turned 18... There's not exactly much he could have done to prevent all that from happening.

I suppose the bright side of the situation, is that by the time you can get hold of GT7, it will be a much bigger game, with many more cars, tracks and events, and it'll probably be cheaper by then too. In the mean time, it sounds like Forza might be your best bet - and we can all hope the situation changes as quickly as possible.

And then the conflict will hopefully finally end once and for all.

NOTE: I'm not here to negatively say about Ukraine or Russia. The situation is indeed bad, but we don't talk about it.
The Russian military has launched missile attacks on civilians, and imposing sanctions against Russia is the least that should be done to support Ukraine against the pure evil that they are facing.

I feel bad for the innocent who suffer as a result of these sanctions. I don't know how I would react if I were in your situation, but I hope I would do something to speak out.

Which innocents who suffer as a result of the sanctions you refer to? I presume is both Russians and Ukrainians. I also feel really bad, I'm in a rough spot since the sanctions came in.

Sanctions in which innocent Russians are facing. I don't think the Ukrainians are facing sanctions, just bombs and bullets

Thanks for the response. Every company should know that sanctions can be bad for innocents, and the consequences of ongoing sanctions, such as crisis.

The russian people are at fault for allowing Putin to continue.

When I see 1 million Russians protest in red square I will accept they at least tried.

Until then I hope the suffering gets worse.

You're naïve. You really think the people have any sway or power to influence the higher-ups, especially regarding something like war?

Get real, Putin does what he wants and seemingly there's nothing anybody in his office can do to stop it, nevermind the peasant citizens.

If 1 million people stood around in "red square" or wherever, Putin and his soldiers will laugh as the crowd gets sprayed with rubber bullets, tear gas, and water hoses. You cannot stop a war machine when it gets going without an equal response of force, or a peace deal the opposition cannot refuse.

The way you say "I hope the suffering gets worse" is frankly disturbing.

I see all the so called sanctions by big tech as nothing but posturing. It does not help at best. And at worst it might actually turn those civilians against the west, leading into a second isolation / cold war.

I fully support seizing the assets of oligarchs, they are the ones who are really enabllng Putin, not the ordinary citizens living from paycheck to paycheck.

Ukraine war thread:

If the personal cost to me of a completely unprovoked invasion resulting in the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians meant I couldn't play a game, I'd be okay with it.

No it wouldn't be fair, but try complaining about it to a Ukranian and see what they say.

We could debate the merits of sanctions, but the alternatives were:

1. Do nothing
2. Start a war with Russia

None of the options have a good outcome for everyone (or anyone).

Third option: Reason with developers.

Does it have a good outcome? Doubt it.

Easy to say "Get Educated" but when the government controls the media and internet, it is not easy for average joe to find out what is really happening apart from what they see on TV and read in news papers.

Can they be russians that do not live in Russia? Òr is your nationality in the game set by your IP?
I have seen videos on YT of russians in GT7.
Their flag is next to their name.

I assume these are russian accounts and the user no longer lives in Russia as surly sony would be onto the concept of VPNs.
