I bought GT7 from the Polish PS Store and it works for Russian account (Russian language is also available). But, since Visa and Mastercard systems stopped working in Russia, I had to use some unorthodox payment method...

I never played the game, because I don't have an PS4/PS5 yet. In addition to this, Sony completely got rid of Russians' access to play their exclusive games, including Gran Turismo 7. And that's terrible, because it (badly) impacts lives of civilians. Now Russian people lost so many cool stuff.
This game is overpriced, even for a full-priced AAA game.
It requires internet for a single-player mode, which is completely unacceptable.
The customization is tame, compared to Forza series.
What do you say? My uncle also wants to buy it and play it so badly. He also condemned developers not letting us Russians to play the game.
NOTE: I'm not here to negatively say about Ukraine or Russia. The situation is indeed bad, but we don't talk about it.
Officially, you can still play Arcade Mode and Music Rally Mode offline but yes, the core of the game requires constant online connection. Just the way many games are going. Just look at Crew 2.
So the actions of your President and his government in Ukraine isn't impacting the lives of civilians, not just in the invaded territory but right across Europe?
GT7 fully works in Russia, and there's no need for VPN. The Russian language is also available in all copies for Europe/Middle East region, and the updates still get Russian localization.
However, buying the game in Russia is a bit difficult.
Although Sony recently unlocked the ability to buy games for money on your Store Wallet and redeeming codes (of money vouchers and PS+ subscription, but card payments are still impossible, because of Visa & MasterCard's withdrawal from RF), there's still no GT7 in the Russian PS Store. So you need to create a foreign PSN account and buy money vouchers for that region (the most bargain is Turkey, because the Turkish currency devaluated recently), but you'll need to pay for them somehow, and this is the trickiest part (most likely, it'll be a foreign store, and you'll have to pay abroad, but Visa/MaterCard are not available, PayPal doesn't work in Russia, too, so you'll need some other method - WebMoney or even cryptocurrency). Anyway, I got my way around, and it was worth it - I'm not disappointed with the game.
Another option is to buy a disc copy, if your console isn't PS5 Digital Edition, from a reseller that got it from a neighbouring country (e.g. Finland), but that's more expensive. There's no region lock like on PS1 and 2.
Unfortunately, people who preordered the game have lost their preorder bonuses (the Supra GT500 would be very useful to me), and players with Russian flag often get bumped off the track in Sport races (yeah, that will surely help Ukraine). That's why we prefer racing in closed lobbies, or, some players just play under the same foreign account they bought the game from.
