Off course but with the assist mode on you loose even more speed in formula races. The car brakes for you etc. I find it even more annoying. Maybe I need to play more with it on the wheel though.

Then don't activate braking assist, it is not 0 OR 100%, you can select which assist you want to use (visual assist or driving assist).

So in the end what is your issue ?

• Not being able to win a SuperFormula race ?
• A newbie not being able to take a turn at 50km/h ?

Both have easy solutions (but the SuperFormula race will be more difficult as it is not intended as beginner content)

If assists slow you down, your technique is bad. A top level driver can turn them all on and be nearly as fast with or without.

You are overdriving in the game and until you understand that you will not progress. Smoothness and accuracy are rewarded in this game. Brake earlier and smoother, turn in more accurately and at the right speed, and accelerate as gently as is necessary to not smoke your tires. It's really that simple. Maybe not simple to execute for you, but that's literally all it is. Accuracy.

That isn't what the Gran Turismo games are. Gran Turismo is about trying to reproduce realistic driving experiences while maintaining some level of accessibility.

I concur that the original GT games were a lot easier, but I'd posit that as being due to hardware limitations. As hardware has become more advanced, the ability to simulate physics has become better, resulting in car handling being more realistic. Cars that handle more realistically need more attention paid to control inputs, as it becomes easier to lose speed by entering a corner too sharp or braking too late etc.

This isn't a Need For Speed arcade racer where the whole point is an accessible feeling of speed. This is a simulation (albeit one leaning towards accessibility) of real world driving.

Go scour the internet for some settings and play around with what feels best

Play online and go easy and work your way up slowly - spend time trying to get a better qualifying time and set your expectation in the race to be top 10, top 5

I’ve played all sorts of sims and this is by far the one I’ve stuck with the longest, I’ve even platinumd it and before I never got a platinum on GT

Did you try any other game with the wheel?
You say that you can do almost all races on normal difficulty with a controller but you (and others) crash at corners even at low speed. Sounds like there's something wrong with your wheel to be honest.

I'll take a stab at this...

If specifically F1 cars are giving you issues, my guess is you're going way too slow in the high-speed corners and not making any use of the downforce (and therefore grip) that's available to you. Some of these races can be more challenging than others regardless though. Also, if you're running the default tuning setup, I suggest you learn how to mess with tuning to give yourself an advantage.

But I also echo what's been said here already: if you want to get better, you need to be specific about what the problem is (what race/event, what actual car(s) is giving you issues, etc.). Uploading a replay of what you're talking about to YouTube and linking it here would help if you want actual feedback too.

This is 100% a YOU problem. I don't understand how you can ignore literally everything people have suggested when it comes to changing difficulty and adding assists.

Surely you should be looking for ways to improve your driving so that you can get past these events. Although there isn't an actual F1 event anywhere in the game, so...

It DOES. With all the assists available it will practically drive for you. I already posted a video example twice, but you ignore it because it doesn't feed in to... whatever is is you're doing here.

I tried them all. Sensitivity max and low. Torque max and low etc But be honest if a friend walks into your room and wants to give it a go for the first time, won't he crash in any race driving above 50 km/h ? The gamification of the game is set way to hard. The realism perhaps not and that is my whole point.

Your friends are either A. Terrible at driving, or B. your wheel settings are so unbelievably bad that nobody can play with it. I'm leaning towards B, but both a likely true.

At the end of the day, this thread is just the same regurgitated nonsense from the other thread. It would be a complete waste of time if it weren't so hilarious.

I have literally put 12 year old kids on this game (first time, with wheel, and assists on of course) and they loved it. In one evening of practice, they're getting gold on some of the events.

Personally I find that GT7 is so easy it's become boring. No challenge.

Whatever you're doing, it's not consistent with my experience, so message me if you want a few tips about how to beat it.
