Marcus what a fantastic explanation. More than R* have mentioned. I'm happy to keep grinding the VIP stuff. I'm a few hours here and there type of player so by the sound of it, it would take me weeks and weeks to fill a warehouse and earn some money.

It's something I'll look into further down the line I guess. Thanks for the indepth info.

Top guy!

Anytime.

One thing I forgot that is a benefit; being a CEO allows you to perform all the regular VIP activities as well as CEO stuff, and you have no expiration timer or cooldown to become CEO again. You can become CEO, do a few rounds of sightseer, retire as CEO to help a friend, and then signup as a CEO again 5 minutes later. Or you can do sightseer for 12 hours straight if you are so inclined.

With the recent update focusing on emphasising the rather luxurious end economic aspects of city life within the virtual world of Grand Theft Auto Online, I quickly became homesick whilst spending time away from my home town of residence. Its been ever such a long time since I've ventured out of Paleto Bay, and I set about returning after a rather enjoyable sampling of the latest content update. I left late in the evening after sampling the last of the new content in one of the local clothing shops.

You know what's chuffing marvellous? This car. I'm not entirely sure what its called, but I remember driving it back in Grand Theft Auto IV a long time ago. Its rather cute, and whilst it isn't very fast, its nimble enough to dodge even the luckiest sticky bomb toss. I was completely unaware I even owned such a car. It was sat peacefully in the corner of one of my penthouse garages behind the rather ostentatious Dubsta 6x6, a car that couldn't reflect my personality any less.

I faced a rather unfortunate dilemma as I pulled onto the Los Santos Freeway. As it turns out, having your personalised radio full of Super Eurobeat isn't all that helpful when you can't go over 90 miles per hour. On the bright side, I did manage to catch up to the cross-eyed woman driving the old camper-van in front.

I would love to own one of these as a residence. A movable camper-van that constitutes as your home would be wonderful. Its not that luxurious and I'm most definitely going to be awoken by a grenade through my window every morning, but the banter that would result from inviting several people inside and trying to drive it up Mount Chilliad would be worth it several times over. After observing the camper-van, I almost crashed into a truck.

I eventually entered Sandy Shores and pulled off the freeway to catch a beer and a break at the local bar.

I attempted to use a pick up line on a fat girl, she absolutely loved it.

She was so impressed by my pick up line that she invited her boyfriend over to beat me up.

It was at this point I realised that perhaps I'm not welcome here in Sandy Shores. As I came to this conclusion I received another swift punch in the face from the local Cletus. I made a run for the car.

He got the last laugh. I got the last cigarette.

I fled the bar with a black eye and no beer. A few miles North and I was out of Sandy Shores and approaching Mount Chilliad. I was unsure as to whether I should take the mundane freeway route or the off-road rally route towards the tunnel through the mountain. I settled on the latter on the basis my car would be exciting to drive over the uneven and bumpy course, albeit rather slow. I sped up to get there before morning. This happened.

After snapping the analogue stick left and right for a whole minute to free my car from the rock, I finally made it home in the early hours of the morning. I immediately changed into my cowboy hat and went towards the garage. Whilst I've always associated myself with a black Phoenix, I also have a selection of other cars that I keep in my quiet home out here. It was nice to see them.

I've been searching for an upside in the CEO stuff, and, while I'm not sure about the consoles, PC users have started an actual co-operation amongst players in free roam with this new DLC.

In the couple of rooms I've been in today (with me trying to get the Rumpo Custom on Tuggy the Tugster), the chat feed has been with actual chat you see in a good MMO. You have organizations looking out for each other while they do their transfer work, with things around the city like colored Insurgents, helicopters and jets. And to top it off: I've never seen Hydras in the sky not shooting down each other before! It's a sight!

Does the Tug still have it's invisible shield around it like in GTA IV?

No, but it is fairly hearty. Had a chopper banging around in the back sparking all over for several minutes before it fell into the sea and the Tug never even began smoking. The Tug can be capsised, however, and that can provide some fun. I did lose one when a plane collided with it, though.

Going to be doing solo grinding of Sightseer and Trash Talk to rank up my second character over the weekend after seeing how easy it is to do solo.

I've just earned $297,000 from 4 hours of 'casual' grinding of Sightseer, Headhunter and Hostile Takeover. If I'd have done them as soon as they became available instead of doing other things in between I would've earned a lot more.

I've just been in an invite only lobby with @STI9 and @Sting , and while they were busy spending money, I alternated between sightseer and haulage (not available when alone in a lobby) and I made about $100k in under an hour. Not exactly sure, cause I hadn't banked the cash I earned my last session as I usually do, but something in that area.

The good thing is that the one I currently did, took about the same time as the other one had to cool down. They could basically be done directly after each other

Someone done the math on the CEO work, and it shows that buying three crates at a time is better than buying one at a time. I was wondering which was better but I'm glad someone finally done that math.

Okay so this is going to be a lot to indulge, but I'll try to make it as easy to understand as possible.

Wondering what size warehouse to buy and which one will make you the most money? Wondering to buy 1 or 3 crates? Then this is for you.

Buying 1 Crate:

Small Warehouse: Time to Fill: 1 hour 20 min. ($2,000 every 5 minutes x 16 spots) Profit: $208,000 ($240,000 - $32,000 expenses)

Medium Warehouse: Time to Fill: 3 1/2 hours ($2,000 every 5 minutes x 42 spots) Profit: $651,000 ($735,000 - $84,000 expenses)

Large Warehouse: Time to Fill: 9 hours 25 min. ($2,000 every 5 minutes x 111 spots) Profit: $1,978,000 ($2,200,000 - $222,000 expenses)

Buying 3 Crates:

Small Warehouse: Time to Fill: 30 min. Profit: $148,000

Medium Warehouse: Time to Fill: 1 hour 10 min. Profit: $483,000

Large Warehouse: Time to Fill: 3 hours 8 min. Profit: $1,534,000

Now let's compare the profit you make from selling 1 crate at a time compared to 3.

Small Warehouse: 1: $208,000 3: $148,000

Medium Warehouse: 1: $651,000 3: $483,000

Large Warehouse: 1: $1,978,000 3: $1,534,000

Obviously this shows us that selling 1 crate at a time will make you more of a profit. But will it really? If you look at the time it takes to fill a warehouse 1 crate at a time compared to 3, it tells us a lot.

For example to fill a Small Warehouse:

1: 80 minutes
3: 30 minutes.

It only takes approximately 30 minutes to fill up a small warehouse by buying 3 at a time.

But what if you fill 3 small warehouses? 90 minutes total.

Small Warehouse: Buying 1 at a time = 80 minutes = $208,000 Buying 3 at a time = 90 minutes = $444,000

This shows us that if you buy 3 crates at a time, and keep filling up warehouses, you'll make more money in just about the same amount of time it takes to fill it by only buying 1 crate at a time.

I've done this math for Medium and Large Warehouses and the profits you make from buying 3 crates at a time is much larger than if you were to waste your time buying 1 at a time.

I nearly survived a bounty by staying inside the pacific standard bank until some hacker teleported in and killed me. He then teleported me to the airport, at which point I just reported him and left, telling him to enjoy his ban (if rockstar actually banned anyone ) to which he responded with a psychotic laugh.

My new base of operations:

Just an FYI- If you want to get a modder banned, you should report them to Sony instead of reporting them via Rockstar report feature. Most of the mod menus have the ability to self clear player reports on GTA.

*Snip*

If you can fill a large warehouse in three hours, I will buy you a beer when I'm in town. You know I am efficient such that I can complete sightseer in 3 minutes solo, and I don't see that happening. That's picking up a crate on average every 90 seconds for over three hours straight; including buying the crates at your office, leaving the office, travelling to the crates, killing/fighting/stealing/etc, delivering to the warehouse, and returning to your office. That also doesn't count the cooldown between purchases which is often 2+ minutes. Even with 3-4 players each time; that is completing every single purchase in under 5 minutes, and it takes more than 5 minutes to drive some of the slow trucks back to the warehouse.

Edit: Just to elaborate, whether going for 3 or 1 crate at a time is more efficient depends more on how many players you have and other factors. 3 crates at a time can be more efficient if you can consistently turn the warehouse over faster which requires more players picking up crates. If you are playing solo; it is going to take you likely closer to the 9 hour limit in practise even if you are super efficient picking up 3 crate purchases. As well, if you have 2 or 3 other players to help they only make ~30k every 48 minutes so it is more efficient for everyone to run the sightseer/mission grind instead.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from the CEO stuff, but rather illustrate how its value is found more as an alternate grind to break up the monotony than a new best way to earn cash.

So, while the Tug has trouble with handling helicopters (personal experience of having a helicopter somehow engulf in flames while at the back)..

It seems to be able to handle 4 regular cars fine, if you don't mind the dents. But I've heard of sob stories that the Tug has issues lifting too much and actually sink like any ordinary boat.

I should experiment that soon.

I wasn't spending that much but damn my second character needed a visual overhaul. If anything I made money because I sold off a glitched gold Buffalo (yes I still have some from all that time ago) and my matte black 9F :)

That said, I may do like @Katiegan and grind some missions.

I'm doing it just now in an invite only. About 23k for Sightseer and 13-14k for Trash Talk. Got 3 slots open.
Dang, I've been doing the same method (As @Angel can attest to ), what times through the day are you on and doing this and I'll try my best to join (Can't do anything this weekend as I'm visiting my dad out of town)

After 4pm UK time usually.

I'm online just now for a bit doing VIP and trash talk. Message me or get me on here if you want to join. Got 3 slots currently.

There doesn't seem to be a report option on the PSN website. I think you can report their PSN account through rockstar support though.
