Just logged off after making roughly $200k by soloing Sightseer and Trash talk 👍 Topped it off by beeing the almighty emperor of Zancudo base in an LTS :cool: I also got a few crates to my warehouse, before going into a lobby with another swede.

A dumb:censored: mo:censored::censored:er that should be banned for beeing stupid, an ass:censored: and just for beeing alive. He was trying to get in touch with me through the gamechat, when someone asked him if he was Swedish. "Yes I am, and I'm gonna 🤬 your mother. As he had a bounty on him, I was tempted to send him a text to meet up with me to do some CEO-work (so that I would be able to GT5power-bomb him over and over again) but I settled for reporting his sorry 🤬, and logged off.

Some people just need a pad on the shoulder

If you want to get into a solo public session to play CEO stuff all you have to do is change your MTU setting to 800. Network>set up internet connection>custom>tap X till you get to MTU and choose manual. Type in 800.

Worked for me but you won't be able to get your friends to join. It's truly solo.
 
Really!? Now I REALLY need to get online later tonight. Filling up a medium warehouse just got a hell of alot easier. And most likely a bit more boring at the same time

Does that screw up your internet connection for anything else on your PS4? I don't know much about technology terms or stuff like that.

Yes / No / Maybe .... i (should) know a bit about networking, and this is application specific, low mtu can cause packet fragmentation.... and now i'm already going too technical....

just change it and see if it causes problems elsewhere .... if so , change it back to (i guess default is 1500?)
 
Rather, you can also just block ports using a computer.

By logging in your router's address, head to the port forwarding section and just block off some ports. I forget the numbers, but if done correctly, there won't be another soul should you want to be in a public room. The best part: you can unblock it when you are in game and personally invite people to your "private room".

port forwarding to block :? :D Portforwarding is to OPEN ports from the outside. But if you've opened them then you can close 'em again... sure.... but also have UPNP disabled, cause that will open ports for you automatically

Mines was 1500 to start with. Seemed to work but I changed it back and had no issues at all. All good.
 
I tried unplugging the broadband ethernet cable (I don't technology so my terminology may be wrong) for a second or two and then plugging it back in and that worked for me.

yeah mtu of 1500 is standard, just to be clear, lowering mtu will prolly not break internet services on the ps4, but it can have influence

very simplified : if a game sends packets of let's say 1000 bytes and your mtu is 800 (bytes) than that packet will be split up in 2 packets (800 + 200)

-edit- oh and don't try to be clever and raise your MTU above 1500 (not explaining why, just believe me :P )

Thanks to some stupid ass restriction, we're actually open and about on exploiting the game.

I can't really discuss these NNEEERRRDD level topics without a large grin.
 
Finals end tomorrow, so I'll hop on GTA again and grind for an office (the 1mil one because I'm cheap :P). What is it exactly like to be a CEO?

On a side note, my bombing technique is gaining popularity, hehehe
 
Is anyone else having BIG issues with PSN and Social Club now? I can't play GTAO and I get a notification that the RSC-servers are down. So I rebooted my PS4, and apparently I'm not logged in to PSN. But I can download NBA 2K16, and I can see people on my friendslist that's online...on GTAO:confused:

And no, I haven't done anything remotely close to what STI9 mentioned earlier in the thread.
