I know for a fact that in free roam, it never OHK'd a player with a chest shot. I've had it since the day it came out and immediately stopped using it because of this.

As for the deathmatch, I have no idea what's going on there. Are you sure these weren't headshots?

Source for weapon damage
I am positive it was a body shot because I'm an auto aiming scrub. I'm not saying you're a lier, I'm just going off of what I have seen.

Then they probably weren't at full health.
Me and Nas were playing with them a lot after they came out this year and were one shot killing each other from a block distance. We intentionally were avoiding headshots too.

That's weird.
But for a while it worked. That's the only reason I didn't put it in my office stash. Me and my friends would go berserk on each other from time to time.

Remember that higher level players have higher max health. It's likely that the Musket can only OHKO people below a certain level.

There's a way the Musket can OHKO regardless of life and armor levels.

Okay, it's actually kind of obvious that I didn't mention the range of the target. By the way, I wonder if damage range falloff has something to do with the anomaly we're having a discussion about.

Because it's in the game, and the Musket is categorized as a shotgun.

A level 1 player still has more than enough health to survive a point-blank shot from the musket, on paper at least. How people are managing to get one-hit kills is beyond me.

So I've made a thing.

And if this thing isn't big enough for you, I'm working on the sequel

RIP the dream, the game won't let me place checkpoints beyond here, although I will keep placing props as long as it lets me.

Couldn't you just space them out more? You're in a tube, it shouldn't matter how far away they are since you're going to hit them eventually.

Heck, place the start then one on the opposite side. Boom, done.

The issue is the game won't let me place the checkpoints past where the gradient for the water on the map ends. I am continuing, there will just be a large gap in checkpoints for both directions. I've done the math, I can have checkpoints at all but 4 of the 5 degree turns. However, what I was doing is having them at 5/6 (Skipping Orange each time), but now I've just put checkpoints in as many turns as it will allow.

Ah, I see what you mean now. I thought you just ran out of checkpoints to place.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of the whole map with that, would you, for scale?

I've wrapped around to the point where it lets me place checkpoints again, so once it's done I can link to it here. So far, the lap is 15.2 miles and I've still got to cross the airport in terms of location.

*sees Utility*

in mind: I DOUBLE DARE YOU, MOTHER*BLEEP*!
Really, over Cycles

Considering it takes me 9 minutes pretty much to go all the way around in a stock 811 with the gas pedal held down without steering, I'd think it would take about 16-18 minutes

I played a custom race yesterday. It had 2 long straights covered in speed boosts. Drove a stock 7B 1st time and noticed the speedo would cap out at 137mph even though I was constantly on the speed boosts. Played again in my custom one with stock wheels and the carbon spoiler. Car was going faster but the speedo would still max out at 137mph.

The car speedometer is inaccurate. I thought everyone knew this by now.

I know they are inaccurate. Never noticed that the digital ones were capped visually regardless of mods and/or speed boosts though. Especially since the 'glitched' 7B is supposed to have a crazy high top speed, iirc @Jahgee said to me it may actually not have a top speed as the car constantly kerb boosts itself.

The musket only does 165 damage per shot. A level 1 player has 238 health. The only way to get a OHK from full health is to either get a headshot, or by using a damage multiplier (bullshark, deathmatch bonuses, etc).

Maybe not on players, definite one hit kill on NPCs.
