Flash news on this handling issue: it's not a car specific problem, but a game engine one.

People who own a Pigalle, Gauntlet, Vigero, Mamba and other unknown cars are some of the other victims of this new handling bug. There's a NODO report on this somewhere in Rockstar support that's gaining attention to many. Check it out for a really REALLY detailed report on it.

I did originally plan on testing all four of the above, but after confirming it on both the Pigalle and the Gauntlet, I'll believe it happens on the others too.

I've tested a couple of others instead. The problem seems to exist on the 811 as well, although to a lesser extent. I guess I'll report back/report on that report if possible with any vehicles I happen to come across with this issue.

At least the Banshee isn't broken. I'd be considerably annoyed if R* 🤬 with the first car I actually bought in GTAO.

I really wonder what's gone wrong. And why would it apply seemingly to vehicles of all drivetrains? the answer was right there, on the support page (links are hard apparently, pun intended if reading in german).

I don't see why the front guns can't be made to work. I don't see them being any more annoying than half the greifers party box.
Apparently, they're coded in a different way than the other weaponized vehicles. I would assume they would have to change a few things before it could work Online.

2 randoms roll up on me with the classic sticky arm out the window. I proceed to kill them both 20-0 and 24-0.

In between the killing I'm getting texted things like "STOP" & "please". I thought it was odd because they carried on trying to kill me so maybe they meant, "stop so I can kill you"

Not long after I got a text saying " get a fkn life" one of them RPG'd me and killed me. They left the lobby immediately. They can hold their head high with that 44-1, last kill moral victory!

Happens a lot :D

I do the same thing when people keep coming after me when I have a huge kill count advantage after they start it. Every time they send me that garbage I tell them to either leave me alone or leave the lobby if they want me to stop killing them. It's always fun when they don't get the memo.

Because it messes up the timeline. The story comes after GTA Online. The story involves the guns being made to work.

It's a movie car. The car was likely in development by the studio long before GTA Online is supposed to take place.

Also, due to the fact that singleplayer hasn't received any proper updates or new items in a very long time, Online seems to be closer to present day real life. Story mode feels like it's stuck in 2013/2014 with a few new things added in.

..yeah, a few things contradict eachother in terms of the timeline, including certain songs being newer than 2013.

Lester is most certainly hinting towards the Online Heists during Casing the Jewel Store, which checks out with all content released before and immediately after Heists also being available in Story Mode. Since Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2, however, content has been exclusive to GTA Online, suggesting there's been a shift.

The way I like to think of it, Online is basically divided into two chapters: Heists and Everything After Heists.

Heists is the only "big" update in terms of story-building content released before the content becoming Online-only, so the way I see it, all contact missions and Heists are set in GTAO Part 1, which is most likely set before GTA V.

After IGGP2 came the Freemode Events update, so it might be canon that most characters probably spent time doing these less-organised crimes, almost as if they lay low for a while. Not quite sure why, given the scale of events in GTA V that lead to laying low for but a day or two, but apparently for long enough for the Story to be completed by the time Lowriders was released. Then came Finance and Felony, Bikers, Import/Export, Cunning Stunts and all the other things.

Another interesting thing to note is this: the last content to also be included in GTA V was also the last content to be made available on the old consoles. Not sure why that's the case, but there we are.

As for the JB700 - the turrets and all makes sense and are actually useful in its two Story Mode appearances, but I somehow doubt Dewbauchee built every single JB 700 with all the weaponry installed as if it was seatbelts, realised they'd get in trouble for that and, because they're from the West Midlands, decided to take the lazy way out, put the ammo away and decided they couldn't be bothered actually removing the guns.

Thinking about it, that sounds exactly like the sort of excuse R* would come up with.

The timeline was broken long ago. Online is very clearly influenced by present day events and there's a lot of content (vehicles and clothing in particular) that would be anachronistic to 2013, and the events of the story.

Regarding missions involving flight, has it become apparent to anybody else that it always appears to be the chap who can't fly the plane that makes sure he's the one piloting it?

I took the up the relaxing role as passenger and turned towards my computer as he flew us to our destination. Several minutes later I was notified by the sound of my controller vibrating on the desk and being under the impression that he'd landed I picked it up and turned around. He'd crashed into the sea.

I don't wish to be rude but the ocean is flat. There's nothing to collide with. Sort yourself out.

That guy is the reason why we're probably getting Star Wars Battlefront-style aircraft controls in GTA VI. :banghead:

Sometimes i start a heist with randoms. Before I've even started to walk towards my car at the start they all pull out their bombs and RPG and start blowing everything in sight to hell, or drive off in different directions often nowhere near the destination.

But yeah, it seems any flying mission gives the worst pilot a speed boost when running so they always seem to get into the pilot seat first. You know it won't end well.

And what about the holy trinity of a low level squeeker pilot?! No chance. May as well leave the mission

Or have a system like YouTube's ContentID where if it detects you blasting music through your headset, you get kicked and put into Bad Sport lobbies for a week.
Oh my god.... And it's always the worst music ever.

To the people on PS4: Why don't you just limit the voicechat to "crew" or "friends" or "crew & friends" or just simply turn it off? It's in the interactionmenu in case you didn't know.
I don't know if it's possible on XBone or PC, but it's very possible on PS4.

Sometimes while spawning in (IE: Staring at clouds for over five minutes), the game forgets my communication settings and I have to listen to them. In races, you can't turn adjust who you can listen to. Finally, there's been a few instances where somebody will join a free mode session and I can still hear their mic even if my settings are for "No one." At that point, I have to individually mute that person.

The gifs you make are awesome 👍

All my voice chat is turned off. But while in the clouds during loading I can often here awful distorted music, racial arguments and/or squeeking, screaming children.

I see. It's rare that I get stuck in the clouds for more than a minute when I join a public lobby, and those few times that I've been there, I've never heard any player in the lobby(as far I can remember). The same thing goes for races.
The only settings that have been randomly changed, is that I've had to change back to metrical a few times.

I have my settings set to 'crew & friends', and a while back I was in a private PSN party with a friend, and while playing GTA I could still hear somebody else talking. I changed the settings to 'no one', and I could still hear him. I pressed the PS button and went to the main menu and I could still hear him talking. I checked my party settings, nobody else had joined the party, it was just me and my (female) friend who's only company at the time was a cat, and I'm sure they don't talk like that. I had no idea who this guy was but it was like I'd been accidentally thrown into someone else's party.

No, it wasn't voices in my head either.

Glad I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Can't say for sure, but I think that if join a mission then back out, you can't hear them again. I know that glitch appears after 1 on 1 deathmatches and randomly appears other times. That's part of why I just mute everyone that isn't a friend or crew member.

I'm still on PS3, but I have the same option. But during missions and heists it seems like voicechat is always on, no matter what the settings are. And what's worse is that it's so much louder than anything else in the game. Maybe there are some sound options somewhere that will let me adjust that though, I'll look into it...

Edit: All the way to the heist setup where you'll steal the mechanical and two trucks from the sawmill there was one kid yelling to another kid to stop throwing grenades. All. The. Way. I was like, "are we there yet?"
