I grinded my way back up to $2m and bought the penthouse. Its underwhelming...especially in poverty-spec (no additions). Wish I had not spent the money....gonna have a hard time finding motivation to get back online now that I'm poor again.
None of the cars interest me particularly (its hilarious how many more supercars there are than normal cars in the game) and none of the newer game modes interest me at all (arena war, etc). The only thing that I really enjoy about the game at this point is:
-Biking
-Hanging out at the club
-Hanging out at the casino
I think Rockstar needs to either "activate" other parts of the map (it would be nice to have a reason - other than sightseer - to go to Grapeseed, Sandy Shores, Paleto Bay, Chumash) via new properties or activities or they need to provide a new location/ map addition. I could see this as a kind of last content update before GTA 6 releases...something to keep GTA-O going for the last 6 months of it's supported life. It would be fun if they made a version of the Channel Islands and made the Yacht actually useful. Add some leisure game modes such as snorkeling, abalone diving, sailing, or surfing. That would be awesome.

So the Casino free mode missions pay out around $20k + 5k chips. They can be done in private lobbies, they seem pretty easy, and they can be done during sight-seer cooldown for those who want to grind. Some of them take somewhat long to do however. I guess you could make about $120k-150k/hr and if you have a fully upgraded nightclub, you can add about $13k/hr to that for daily nightclub take (depending on how active it is) and about $40k/hr for the nightclub warehouse (zero maintenance other than selling). $173k/hr total. Other methods pay far more but I don't think any are less demanding!

I would say if you're going to spend time grinding casino work and sightseer you may as well do I/E and warehouse sales instead. Sure you can't do them in invite-only lobbies, but solo public lobbies are easy enough to set up, and the only downside is no high demand bonus and annoying blue Sultans.
If you want to make money completely passively then bunker sales are probably the easiest method. Buy supplies (you can easily make up the $75k cost and then some in the time it would take to steal them) and then start the contact mission Blow Up, go to your apartment, and watch TV. Then you can just leave the game running without any maintenance costs, and 2hr30min later you'll have $210k worth of supplies in your bunker that you can sell in a guaranteed one-vehicle sale mission for a net $135k profit (storing more stock will mean you'll start getting sell missions with two or three vehicles, which can be tough to do solo). Factoring in the $10k+/hr maintenance costs you're saving, and the $18k you get for winning Blow Up on Hard after 2 hours of idling, that's nearly $70k/hr for almost zero work.

See though, the thing is that the nightclub requires no micro-management and can pay almost the same amount (Blow Up AKF works the same for nightclub) and you always, no matter what, have 1-vehicle sales. So you can go AFK for whatever amount of time you want (well, you might get raided if you go too long) and come back and sell whatever is there. I've done the bunker thing and its tedious. And I/E is the worst grind the game offers.
Admittedly, the nightclub requires a truly absurd amount of money to get going fully, but once its up and running, I enjoy what it offers.

I was messing around test driving a bunch of different cars in the creator today and I discovered one that I really enjoyed driving that has never even crossed my mind. The Huntley S.
It has pretty good performance and pretty good grip with pretty neutral handling characteristics. But the reason I like it so much is that it just sort of glides over all manner of road imperfections. It never seems to get too out of shape. It reminded me of my favorite car (a bit) in GTA IV - the Willard Faction. Doesn't hurt that it looks pretty great too.
If you haven't driven it, give it a shot.

Well it appears GTA V (PC) is now only playable via Rockstar's new Launcher. This royally pisses me off. I don't want it. I bought the game via steam. I don't want another launcher.

The best part about that is the game launches from Steam for most people anyway. Waste of a launcher and no matter how good San Andreas is, it's a piss poor free gift to try and entice people to use the launcher.

I can't even get the game to launch from steam. It says "running" for about 3 seconds and then nothing happens.

Do you use mods on story mode by chance? From what I've read, a ton of people who use mods on story mode are going through hell to get the game running. But being Rockstar, I wouldn't be shocked if they just broke the game in typical Rockstar fashion.

I can almost guarantee that RDR2 is gonna be exclusive to the R* launcher if/when it comes out on PC (and the same probably goes for all future R* titles as well). That's probably what they're planning here.

I'm not sure if its because I have multiple disk drives or some obscure permissions thing (I've tried a lot of things) but GTA will just not launch from steam nor from the rockstar launcher. It says "Running" in steam for about 3 seconds, and then nothing happens. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game (all 70+gb of it!) and no change. Deleted the launcher and reinstalled. No change.

While I’m looking forward to upgrading my PC, couldn’t rockstar just stick to steam like they’ve been doing this whole time until now for releasing games on PC? I feel like this is starting to become a bigger trend than it was before, more and more game publishers or companies are coming out with their own PC launchers and moving some of their games from steam to their own launcher.
Good thing they didn’t make GTA V on PC Epic Games Store Exclusive. This would’ve probably been a bigger nightmare than it is right now.

They don't have to send Valve a cut of every sale from Steam when they sell the game on their launcher. Can't say I'm surprised at this either since this is the same company that patches money glitches within 24 hours of them going viral but didn't care in the slightest about the modding epidemic of the PS3 (at a time when the game didn't exist on the 4, One, or PC no less). That's ignoring the numerous game breaking glitches that impact the current gen today simply due to those not impacting shark cards like the orbital cannon glitch.

Spent over an hour with R* tech trying to figure out why my game is bricked. It's still bricked. The only hope I have is that it cost Rockstar more than $60 (what I purchased the game for) to service that call via wages & overhead.

In case people hadn't caught on to it yet, the tunables update yesterday brought with it not only the alien survivals, but also peyote plants. In Online.

A guy in an Osiris just wanted to have a drag race against my Regina. Spoiler: I didn’t win. But it was fun to spin the wheels before the start! 
I actually like driving the Regina. It’s relaxing. No need to dodge traffic or weave between lanes, just go with the flow... Plus, the map gets effectively bigger and you have more time to appreciate the details of the surroundings.

I just got the PS4 version for the hell of it and had my character already transferred a long time ago so no starting from square 1.
I am completely out of the loop with everything that's being bombarded on my notifs and phone calls.
I just want to know what are my options with missions/activities to grind money and xp with (mainly money).

It's been a while for me but if I remember right do VIP work. 10-15 minutes and you have $20k easily. Some recommend doing Sightseer and Headhunter back-to-back for best time-to-money ratio.
