I finished a survival with Wardez and some randoms earlier on, that was fun. I don't think I'll grind survivals though, they're not all that exciting if you know what you're doing.
That mission for Lemar where you have to rescue some guy who is being driven around the outside of the map in a van sucks, it really, really sucks. First of all, the passenger can shoot you with his Micro SMG through the van, so there's no safe zone. Secondly, the driver can expertly weave through any obstacles (I tried to set up a roadblock in the tunnel but it had absolutely no effect whatsoever), thirdly - and most importantly - when you finally stop the van, you have to drive all the way back to the city again whilst constantly under attack from a pair of SUVs which contain expert gang marksmen who can hit you consistently from quarter of a mile away, and when you evade them... Two more spawn in front of you. Then when you inevitably die, two more spawn on you and kill you before you can even reach a car. I was playing alone (because no one would join me, maybe they knew) and on hard mode, though, and it frustrated me so much that I ended today's session by pulling the power cable out of my PS3.
Also, why does everyone say GTA V's aiming system is so good? Or at least better than GTA IV? It's horrible and it sucks! So many times I'll be trying to aim at a guy who is aiming at me but my character just doesn't seem to lock on, and sometimes I can lock on to people while they're in vehicles and sometimes I can't, I don't understand why it sometimes works but very often doesn't. It's crap, unless your enemies are a fair distance away and not in cover.
