I was on my way to steal one, broke the window, got in, started it and changed my mind. Got out and left it for what it was.

I noticed the same thing in a survival game this evening. Point blank range = 1 shot 1 kill. But it's still a pistol so overall range is limited.

My idea earlier worked. Hire mercenaries to kill someone while they are in a safe place, go to them, and steal the jacked Jeep. No wanted level or gunshots... and a full refund

GTA Race + Fort Zancudo Track + Wanted Level on= most fun you can have online in a car.
Trust me, there's something satisfying about taking down the military with car-mounted rocket launchers with a couple of friends.

I worked up some money for that Merryweather Jeep(paint, stage 4 engine, rims)... I am not impressed. Maybe it needs a turbo too, but I cannot climb a medium rock without flipping over. My Challengaro*, Hummer, and GT-R have all successfully climbed MT. Chilliad in the 1st 2 tries.

Gauntlet has front of Challenger, back of Camaro. Thus, Challeng-aro.

I can get most places in it, and mine has no turbo, the 3rd transmission seems to be the best one I have found.

Played some more online earlier, getting into it a bit more. Keep trying to join the GTP crew in things but never seems to work. I also never see any invites.

Started doing some races today as well which went pretty well. 11 wins, 5 losses. I wish hosts would turn catch up off though, your car get's so slow when you build up a lead of any sort.

On another note is the body armor a bit glitchy? It seems to be permanently visible on my character even once it's depleted in missions.

Hold select-> inventory. You can disable body armor showing.

Catchup is a little ridiculous though. When your in 2nd, you can go like 180 but in 1st you max at like 120.

Indeed. The only way you really build a lead is if everyone behind you keeps wrecking. If they keep it on the road they always catch up, especially on straights.

I can join into lobbies with one or two guys in but that's about it.

That's all there ever is really is one or two crew members in a free roam lobby. When you host a mission, invite your crew first. If no one shows than invite everyone else.

I've gotten into a bunch of missions with crew members. Keep an eye out!

Robbed a store, tried to hide from cops in car wash, guy kills me. He then got into a gun fight with the cops, I snuck up behind him and killed him. Stole a car, and went to run him over as he respawned, but he shot me...but the car still had enough momentum to run him over and kill him.

What do you mean? Manage crew -> hierarchy. Then click on ppl to choose and you can demote,kick and ban.

Don't have that trouble.

On a side note now I'm rank 50 all my guns are PINK! to match my lipstick and my cars.

Rocking the pink is so fun. Thanks R* for the pink skins on guns, that is just amazing.

Huh, that's a weird glitch just there.

Went to my new garage for the first time today, only one car in there, should have been the Camaro and the Mustang. Depressed I was looking for my Camaro everywhere to no avail. I started filling up my garage with sellable cars, SUV's etc, when I find a buffalo. Liking it I put that in my garage to find a black Camaro, alongside my livery Camaro and 2 mustangs in the livery. Strange one that!

Also, I'm now going to buy an apartment with a 6-car garage to see if the 'you can't have a garage and an apartment at the same time' theory is correct or not. Even if it turns out to be correct, I won't lose anything, because my garage is a 6-car garage anyway.
