GTA_Loco – because your records for Maximum Insane Jump Distance and Longest 2 Wheels Distance are so big I need you to tell me your method, so I can make sure that it’s not a glitch (by PM is fine if you don’t want to give it away).

Also your screenshots are very small, I can’t confirm some of your records…

Hi Blake. Ok i'll try to provide bigger screenies for the records. I can't upload to Imageshack and Photobucket, so I tried uploading in one site that unfortunately always reduces the size of the images.

As for the two records you mentioned, frankly, I can't quite figure out myself how they came to be that big. I suspect I might have triggered a glitch particularly on the Longest 2 Wheels Distance. Checking out on my old save files from about 5 mos ago (where those two records were registered), I realized they appeared after I completed the mission BADLANDS. I can only remember doing the Mt. Chilliad challenge first before I did BADLANDS. I did a lot of jumping though from the top of Mt. Chilliad using an NRG, but can't remember what registered in my jump stats then since I wasn't into establishing records in SA then, but was just fooling around occasionally that's why I didn't pay any attention to my stats. This may explain the Insane Jump distance, but I'm not that sure really.

For the longest 2 Wheels Distance, I can't think of any possible reason until now how I got that much figure. I was shock myself when I first saw it in my stats just recently when I thought of submitting some records for the record book. I'm playing the game again and hopefully I'll find out something about this.

That took about 4 hours. It's tied with the overall record on the PC also.

I was half-way through 4:34 when I crossed the mark. So with an absolutely perfect run, there's a remote possibility of 4:33. But I'm sure Morgoth will attest to how tough that is.

On a side note, I think I found the glitch that gave me the unbelievably long insane jump distance that I submitted to you last month. I got another one and it was caused by the mod shop glitch (in this case Loco Low) whereby you can move your vehicle inside. When I tried driving out of the view, I surprisingly got a message that I performed an insane jump of 9,446.67ft. I was unable to take a picture right away though while still inside, but here’s the record in the stat. Now only the 2 wheels distance remains a mystery.

It's tied for the overall record with the PC. I didn't think it could be done (after ~7-8 hours of attempts,) but it's possible. I think I know what I did to change it too.

Also, I arrived about 0.4 seconds away from 1:46, so I know that's possible now too. Although doing it is another thing. But I think I figured out some useful 'secrets' that I can use to get my time lower.

I figured someone would eventually get around to running that race for a record during the mission when there's a choice of vehicles, and maybe even a little nitro. Well done, Loco.

I still think we ought to merge the PC records with PS2. atwyatt's recent times demonstrate pretty clearly that there really isn't much of a difference. All of our old arguements have been completely shot down.

Thanks Orion_SR Took me so many attempts though. Sucess rate can depend largely on the volume of peds and vehicle traffic on the road at any given time.

Yea that's right Jonas_AH. It's very frustrating trying to achieve a fast timing by doing the one in the hidden races. The Blade is simply crappy, or it could be just me

After quite a few runs in the Blade you get the hang of it.

I don't think there is much more to take on my Blade time, so if I want that no.1 back I'll have to start a new game Maybe I can let you get away with that one, though. Still got 4 no.1s.

I tried that race with a bunch of different cars (when I restarted a game a while back)... I suck i all of them-- Any opinions on the "fastest" lowrider-- I thought the Remmington might be the best-- seemed to handle well and be pretty fast--- took me a while to find one of those on LS... I only used NO on that straight stretch going north... I didn't think you could use it again before the end of the race.. maybe if you use it right at the start....

We thought there was a difference in the VC book also (between PC and PS2)--- some faster PC times were put up and eventually were beat by PS2 players.. it just took a while... I did have them segregated but eventually put them back together...

I never save since i got as far as i could in the game. (stuck at 99.47%)
But have any of you stolen a police helicopter while it was flying,
or parachuted out of a bus over los santos and not even seen the ground until san fierro.
Also did you know it was possible to drive two different boats in two player mode?

I think all of the qualified lowrider cars in that mission can go fast. What seems to differentiate them from each other is the handling. In which case, I think the Voodoo or Remington have this feature to die for. The Voodoo in particular seems to be better at sharp turns and this can substantially give you a chance to achieve a faster timing.

But I think everything will still depend largely on the traffic of peds and vehicles on the road which can annoyingly slow you down if they get in your way.

Will be trying the Blade run and see if I can match Jonas_AH on this

OK...So I hope this is where this belongs and I plan on breaking this record of mine in the next few months. I never save anything I do with Cheats and I never use Cheats on missions....Cheaters go to Hell.

Next time it will have more flavor especially if I get that PCI TV Tuner so my PS2 can contribute Vids....I forsee a vid of explosions and victorys counting up beyond even this accomplishment. Oh, yes I shall triumph over this score! It is just whether or not I have an edited vid to contribute as well.
