Nice trailer. But I'd rather see some actual gameplay footage. But since they said spring 2013, we should see some of that before the year's over. That's what I'm hoping for, at least.

some of the vehicles looked better than they have in recently released images.

Indeed, I guess they're not as bad as I thought they would be.

Anyway nice trailer, I hope they don't reveal too much of the game through screens and vids. The less you know the more fun you have discovering stuff on your own.

Finally got around to watching it. Looks even more awesome. Waiting for the Collector's/Limited Edition to be announced (if so) before I pre-order.
As much as I despise animal cruelty, I still don't see any logic in it being a controversy or why anyone would even get upset over it, really. Noone cares about killing or driving over pedestrians who pose no threat to you at all in-game. Yet, we don't see human right groups protesting nor bitching - unless you're Jack Thompson that is. Why would the ability to kill animals be such a big issue then?

And just as I finished writing this post, I see Luminis beat me to it.
Did you play the first GTAs at all? I'm betting no, or you at least didn't follow the media because it caused controversy right from the beginning when people found out what you could do in the game. And to this day, people still care & create a stir over GTA. It's just not as big because the game has lasted 15 years & has yet to change its ways. However, as it as aged & introduced newer activities, those have caused commotion as well; prostitution, ethnic wars, Hot Coffee (which got the game in a lot of trouble) & in IV, M.A.D.D. protested because it allowed you to drink & drive.

So you can be damn sure the instance the game shows players being allowed to kill dogs & what not at their own will, PETA or someone will step in & protest. Every GTA has created controversy & made the news after its release. I'd bet $20 GTA V makes the news for something outside of sales records.

If you have not seen this!
One week of hard work (the last two days almost didn't sleep) for my favorite game! Can't wait for!

Everyone loves art by Rockstar Games, but that if they would come to life!

^ Awsome vid, very clever.

Did anybody else notice the RDR resemblence when Trevor was walking away from the burning wooden house?

Im talking about the house itself.

Trailer was excellent, really really looking forward to GTA 5. Very happy about the busses and trains among everything else.

@jBhIpS Nice work, youtube "liked".

I wonder what the iTunes downloads are looking like now. When the Call of Duty: Black Ops trailer debuted, cut to The Rolling Stones' "Gimmie Shelter", online sales of the song increased dramatically. I imagine the same thing would have happened to this song, Stevie Wonder's "Skeletons":

Thanks all!

First of all, I don't recall PETA ever saying a word about Red Dead Redemption. They seem to complain about everything else, yet RDR passed under their radar, then why GTA V all of a sudden - if they include it?

Secondly, yes, I'm aware of the fact that the GTA series created a stir right from the start and created a lot more over the years. I still find it silly though when there are far worse games that should get the moralists going crazy and the majority of the stuff in GTA are optional to do as well. People seem to be forgetting the latter.

Edit : Love your work, jBhIpS! 👍

That's because GTA is an easy target. Let's face it, we've all read stories in the media about how GTA "rewards you with points for killing prostitutes and taking their money". Quite clearly, those articles have been written by someone who hasn't ever played GTA. John Q Public hasn't heard of RDR. Only gamers have. If PETA were to complain about RDR, the average person wouldn't blink. If, on the other hand, they complain about GTA, John Q Public would think "Oh yeah. I've heard about that game".

I hunt little bunnies for their souls in Skyrim but I don't remember PETA or some other animal rights group making a fuss about that. It always has to be GTA.

Whats most confusing for me is... Harming virtual animals really is going to hurt real life animals...

How is shooting/running over animals in a video game in any way worse than shooting/running over thousands of people in the same game?
Im not old enough to remember, but was there a backlash when wolfenstein came out and you had to shoot dogs in that?

I really hope the AU version of the game is not censored

It is legislation yet? Because if all we have is in-principle approval, it wont be in effect before GTAVII.

EDIT: Comes into effect Jan 1. Woohoo!

Where did I say anything about RDR to begin with? We're talking about GTA; everything in this game creates a stir whether good or bad because it's a record-breaking game. RDR isn't that.

Secondly, yes, I'm aware of the fact that the GTA series created a stir right from the start and created a lot more over the years. I still find it silly though when there are far worse games that should get the moralists going crazy and the majority of the stuff in GTA are optional to do as well. Obviously, you're not as you claim you are, else you wouldn't have said nobody cares about killing in-game people. And those worse games have gotten people in a stir, Manhunt being the prime example along with Postal II. They don't even have to be worse than GTA. Call of Duty caught a lot of flack for the "No Russian" mission alone.

It doesn't matter what game it is, if the subject within' it is highly debated, someone will eventually bring it to light. GTA just happens to be so popular that it will be protested against regardless of whether all the actions in it are optional or not; people are just upset they are there to begin with. The introduction of the ability to kill animals in GTA will just be one more thing for the protesters to use against the game.

Chances are they won't succeed in anything over here in the US, but other countries have successfully gotten chunks of past GTA games banned or replaced with "less offensive" content.
