I will make sure not too post new records too often.

In the future please don't post minor improvements on categories where you already are p1.
Wait until you achieve something spectacular (browsing the other GTA record books should give you an idea), or someone else turns up to compete.

I'm not really into killing & crime stats but racing might be a different matter.

Since that stat is accumulative in VCS, - you're not required to do them in a row.

The Hunter seems more fragile than in other GTA's, - I guess they reduced or removed the vehicle health bonus.
But you can change for a new Hunter during the mission at any time (it respawns pretty quickly), and the cops spawn outside the fence so you don't risk getting busted while spinning up the rotor.

Hello, I did some more Vigilante missions.

I started from scratch and at first, used The Hunter, but it kept exploding in mid-air which was annoying, so I have recently started using the Rhino, which is arguably better than the Hunter in this game:idea:

Side Missions - Highest Vigilante Level, 426 (Rhino) - The Night Fox

I am planning to keep going and beat this score but it is currently 426.

I just tried again and beat the current scores, here they are.

Stunts - Max insane stunt distance, 234.00 - The Night Fox

Stunts - Greatest insane stunt height, 24.00 - The Night Fox ( Woohoo!)

Stunts - Best insane stunt rotation, 2453 - The Night Fox

I might also try to get a decent flips record, I currently only have 2 flips.

Couldn't help noticing that some of your screenshots appears to be from PS2 and others from PSP ?

Although it probably doesn't make a difference, - if you know of any platform differences which might influence records, then your input would be valuable (I don't have a PSP).

Found this on GameFAQs:

When "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" came out on the PS2 there were
no differences between it and the PSP versions other than graphical and
control improvements.

But when the PS2 version of "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories" came out it
quickly became apparent that there were many differences between the PS2 and
PSP versions other than the graphical and control improvements.

These changes included extra side-missions, extra Rampages, extra Jumps, and
fewer Turismo races.

Listed below are the most notable differences between the PS2 and PSP
versions:

  >>Six additional Unique Stunt Jumps:
    **********************************
      --LTV-J12 (Little Havana).
      --SFI-J16 (Starfish Island).
      --VCP-J26 (Vice Point).
      --VCP-J29 (Vice Point).
      --OCB-J32 (Ocean Beach).
      --OCB-J33 (Ocean Beach).

  >>Five additional Rampages:
    *************************
      --LTV-R15 (Little Havana).
      --SFI-R18 (Starfish Island).
      --PRI-R19 (Prawn Island).
      --VIM-R20 (Vice Point Mall).
      --OCB-R35 (Ocean Beach).

  >>Five additional Checkpoint Races:
    *********************************
      --"Playground on the Dock" (Viceport).
--"Crims On Water Wings" (Ocean Beach).
--"Caddy Daddy" (Leaf Links Golf Course).
--"Playground on the Park" (Ocean Beach).
--"Hyman Memorial O.D.T." (Escobar International Airport).

  >>One additional vehicle side-mission:
    ************************************
      --"Rush!" (Viceport).

  >>Three fewer "Turismo" races.
    ****************************

In addition, one of the Rampages in the PSP version was moved from a parking
lot in Downtown north to The Dirtbike Track area (Rampage DTN-R2).

Yeah I'm aware that PS2 has several more sidemissions (and fewer turismo races, which need to be added to the book if PSP players starts racing).

But differences in speed or differently positioned checkpoints etc. would impact individual records.

Most things will probably be easier with a larger screen and less fiddly controls, but that doesn't necessarily make an achievement impossible on PSP, just harder to do.

What I'm interested in is if it might be necessary to tag entries with platform ?

I'm not having much luck getting large amounts of flips&rotation, but I did manage to add a couple of meters of height:

Greatest insane jump height (m) - 26.36 - GTA Phreak Screenshot

Maybe I should consider keeping my tricks to myself :irked:

Anyway I added another couple of meters:

Greatest insane jump height (m) - 29.91 - GTA Phreak Screenshot

Although we're nowhere near the VC records (I have no idea how they did those), I'm still pretty sure I saw my house from there

I'm relatively certain my VC jump of 74 meters was glitched-- I don't recall how I got it-- and have never gotten any close to that one... at the time I posted that record we were accepting glitched records... I think most are glitched in that category.... I posted that one before I was even running the recordbook-- May/June of 03

Yeah, the rounding down has been an annoying "feature" of several GTA's.
Which is one of the reasons:
Myself
Note: Screenshot of 'Brief' screen may be needed for full credit
You are aware that the distance adds up on combination jumps? (if you do another jump before the bonus message you get additional distance)
I'm pretty sure you could get 1000's of meters with a jumping taxi.

Anyway, - * Updated
