It is a good idea with handicaps on everyone but then again its would just be too time consuming and a hassle to monitor everyone. I'll admit and some others will to that i did a fairly good job keeping everyone at the same pace.

Very true, the system is "self" handicapping, thus it relies on people's honesty more than anything else.

The racing as been close and FUN, so clearly you've done a really good job here.

Maybe like real touring car racing you could penalize the winners by making them remove a small part to drop some HP. This would allow the slower guys to catch up. Just an idea I'm throwing out, but things are fine as is. I wouldn't change a thing, this series is unique and thus it should continue to run as you envisioned it from day 1.

Saturday works for me. I thought the day was locked in for the rest of the season.

I'm not moving the day i just like to see how many people can make it so i can get a good estimate of people there. I don't really want to do a race if there are less then 8 people.

Bdub will be there saturday, what time is it again, I suppose I could look back but it is just easier to ask. let me know

TLseiko said hill make it. He said he hope rxp has a good connection cuz he needs a chalange:)

Hoping I do too. :D Getting closer to that 1:07.xx time that was posted during practice yesterday night.

This weekend i have no answer for the civics n golfs....u guys are faster in the draft....i wont be able to pull away...not with the straight away...but rxp is always fast...he is probably not having that problem

Okay, maybe I am missing something. I played GT2. I never played GT3 or 4. In GT2, there were two test tracks (two parts of the same track). One was just a drag strip in a straight line. The other was just an oval. I guess one can use one of the NASCAR/Indy ovals, but is there a straight course with a start and finish line that I can use for timing a run?

I always found that handy for just testing that aspect of the car.

honestly i really feel bad for rxp....thats gotta suck that he cant compete because of the stupid net....hope he figure it out...really want dc5 for the constructors cup

Yea he has been a great racer but his connection is just awful. Hopee he figures it out soon.

Sorry guys not sure what else to do. Just seems that Verizon Broadband isn't fast enough :( I've tried connecting the mifi 2200 directly to the ps3 with wifi which seems to be ok until I get into a big room then it starts disconnecting me and then randomly knocking me off PSN. Also tried tethering it to the laptop and doing a shared connection with the ps3, but isn't fast enough at times. I've even tried a shared connection with my droid incredible via pdanet. Really sucks not being able to get DSL, but hopefully 4G will be in my area at some point(closest is DC which is about 2-3hrs from me)

That's an impressive time. Vol Jbolaz and I were doing some practice runs last night and I got down to a 1:08.x, but most laps were mid 1:09s on good tires, 1:10-1:12 on worn rubber.

Went from 297 to 308 HP after the oil change. Oddly I couldn't catch the Civic on the straights, granted I was not right on his bumper coming out of the last turn, but the top speed advantage from the VeeDub sure wasn't there.

Also finally got my mic working... once connected you need to go into the audio system settings and tell the PS3 to use Bluetooth for audio input. I kept forgetting that simple (but critical) step.

Hope to see some good racing. Seems that this track is very very tight like a street course and is very hard to overtake but that does make for some good bumper to bumper racing. I think the most trickiest section for the first few laps will be the uphill run into that quick right-left turn after the first turn. I will be watching the replay to this race closely for some dirty passes that shouldn't have been done.

Also the start point for todays rolling start is very early. It's going to be the Dunlop banner/bridge coming onto the front straight. In case some people in the back of the grid can't see some of us will probably say go.

Bought a new Ethernet cable so hopefully that will help some
No problems on my end with my Verizon DSL connection and wireless modem in the PS3. :knocks on wood: :) Though I had to stay in the pit garage as the Red Bull X1's had their extra-curricular activity before coming back out for some more practice. Maybe some more track time before tonight's race will get me to dial the car into the track some more.

Let us know if you sneak into the track for some practice!

I plan on doing it at about 4:30 - 5:00 pm EST today while I have the Rolex 24 at Daytona on. :)
