I still think we to ditch these rolling starts, too much bumping and confusion. Because of the double file start if one row is tight and the other isn't there can bigger gaps mid pack. Also if someone in row gets away slowly the whole row is screwed. With a grid start there is an automatic safety gap. Real touring cars use a grid start for both races. Not a big deal since I'm a mid pack runner anyway, but I swear I lose 3 positions by turn one each time due to the rolling start. I don't mind being beat on track one on one, but when someone 4 spots ahead jumps the start that entire side of grid has an unfair advantage.
Sorry for the disconnect I seem to have problems when the grid is full. The last time it happened was entering the first race after qualifying when everyone hits "enter course" at the same time. Cost me 2 places in the championship but hey that's racing... I'll just consider a blown engine or other mechanical that took me out since it's beyond anyone control.
I fear Monza will be a penalty filled affair with lots of "offs", one thing is for sure - there is ZERO grip in the grass when it's wet.
