A 14 car field would probably be best with one person serving as pace car driver and another with a mic watching and calling out the caution, just my 2 cents, also Pope and Jav don't let your incedent boil over into the next ITCC or 3LCS race for the sake of ruining everyone else's race. If you two get into an incedent on Friday and involve someone else, one or both of you will be penalized. Supr, I just want to make sure they see this and are aware of the warning.

No worries man, vengance isn't my thing. I don't think the incident was intentional, just careless. I expected an apoligy and got a denial, so i got upset. I just want to have a fun fair race, i don't think we'll have a problem.

Think the second person calling out the cautions have their own Nissan GT-R Safety Car to use for the night? I'm thinking that person should tail the field on the Warmup Laps and make the call for the Green Flag after the final car is out of the last turn like the Medical Car does.

That's only if we have enough people in the race. I hope enough people can make if for this weeks race. The more cars on track, the happier I am. Plus it is a short track and no one should be alone for too long.

I'm sure they will resolve any issues they have before either of our races. After all we all are mature racers here.

There's nothing to resolve here, this is the last I'm ever going to say about it. Don't see why an appologie is demanded on my part while only 5 corners earlier on the same lap turn 3 he did the same thing. I don't complain about it, I don't expect appologies, I understand it is close racing and there's sometimes contact not intentional. We all are competitive persons and our emotions flow, sometimes overflow and get the best of us. we need to control them and when to move on.
We have races to win and a championship to culminate, we are not here to crash into each other slowing us down in the process.
See you on track on Saturday gentlemen!

i honestly think this track is too small for enduro...we are goin to get caught up in slower traffic n w 12 cars on a 50+ second track its goin to be a demolition durby....just a thought

I'm with Seiko on that one!

Small Track>Driving by yourself for 40 minutes.

Thats basically the point. You should always be in a battle with someone. Whats the point of 100 miles if you get left behind for the rest of the race and every 10 laps or so someone goes by you. I want it to be a fun and action filled race. This race will truly test one's patience and endurance. It should be a fun one.

I did the math and if i finish below 12th and sach wins the race, then it is either tied in points or sach wins the championship.

Sorry, was out of town and missed this past race. Not a big todo, I'm sure.

As to the lap traffic issue... the slower cars can't battle. It isn't fair. They slow down first place to let second catch up, or slow down second to let get further away. They are king makers, not kings. Out of GT5, they are asked to yield the line to lap traffic, and they do. Yes, you will get to see people, but you won't actually be racing them.

How many of you want to do cautions in our endurance race? Because this requires everyone to be paying attention at all times and if no one does then it could ruin the race all together. But then again with cautions the race would be much closer. So what do you guys think, Yay Nay?

Definately need cautions...cautions make enduros competitive...then u have to do caution rules

Yea I know. I'll have to make a batch of rules before race day. And before qualifying and the race I will ask everyone if they have read the rules or not and type them in the chat if need be. I will also have to type in Caution in the chat during the race which will be a bit of a pain.

I don't want what happened at Monza when we attempted to do a caution and those 4 guys with no mics just drove away when I typed caution in the chat.

MUST READ!!

For the race at Cape Ring we will be attempting to try cautions for the first time. This requires everyone's attention throughout the race and could ruin the race if just one person doesn't follow the rules. I will ask in the chat before and after qualifying if they have read and understand the rules. I will not let you race if you have not read these rules.

Caution Rules:

  • When a caution is called in the chat and typed by RACECAR YOU MUST SLOW DOWN AND STAY IN YOUR CURRENT POSITION. No Overtaking!!

  • The Pace Car will roll out when caution is called to pick up first place.

  • Single file line

  • Once First place finds the pace car they will follow it with everyone else behind.

  • If you are a lap down you are allowed to drive past the pace car and get your lap(s) back. But once you are on the lead lap you will follow the last person in line.

  • There will be only one lap cautions no matter what. this gives enough time for everyone to catch up. The restart for the caution lap will be the Start/Finish line.

  • You may pit during cautions

  • A caution is a wreck of 3 cars or more

  • There will be no cautions when there are 5 laps to go.

  • If you fail to abide by these rules you will be asked to leave the race.

  • And if you don't leave well then your just a terrible person.

So what justify's a caution? And who calls it as i assume your racing? If its just one person watching, how will they keep track of everyone?

Who's going to call the yellow and how is he going to call for a caution if it happe s away from where he's racing?
I have to say no to this... It isn't like you can't move yoyr car after a crash.
It would be much better an make much more sense to have the pace car come out at a previously arranged lap.

I would be calling them through the mic and through chat. It doesn't matter if i never saw it. I will just adjust my track map to see the whole layout.

I'm for what I would pronounce in a humorous way 'cow-shunt' periods during the race. And I suggest you'd have RACECAR and the other Saftey Car marshall keep an eye on things during the race.

How could RACECAR see if he is going to be the pace car.

Park at the tight chicane and watch his map. Also if there's clear guidelines of what is and what isn't a caution, other racers could simply tell you. "three guys off at turn one" or "Supruflous just took out sach22 on turn 3"

hey is it possible to join for the next race or be a pace car or something?

We already have a pace car but if there is room I might let you race.

Jav
Good question!! And what about tire choice? Is it gonna be open?

There is no set restriction with pit stops. But you will be making them i can assure you.

I decided to stick with mediums for this race.

EDIT: Cautions rules updated
