hmmmmm

again, I've said about enduro races. Driving around for an hour by yourself and having one race for the championship just makes the points more spread out, which is why we'll have an endure race at the end of the season, and I'll make it count somehow

If those regional races took place then there wouldn't be many left but an idea just hit me. I did compose a good track list with great circuits. The legs would be long there, but I just had this idea (e.g)

Round 1/2 -Asia
3/4 - Europe
5/6 - America
7/8 - GT tracks

As each round is 3 races that's 6 races (the calander must have a street circuit imo) but I think that this seems a good idea

Will start a convo about season 2, again, if anyone wants to help let me know

what support class @NinjaEvo mate? EDIT - Tell me in the convo :)

I'm sorry about the endurance races guys, but to me, short sprint races are so much more fun. We've had a wide range of winners and podium scorers already. Maybe we can hold the endure and give a few perks, etc I planned to do car choice on reverse championship standings, but maybe i'll let the endure winner take 1st pick?....

Yeah, seems like a good format. The advantage is say if someone finds out about this mid-season, and if they enter they don't realistically have a chance at becoming outright champion, they can still possibly become American or GT champion. It gives people a reason to join even if the championship is already in full swing.

yeah mate, I see what you mean. I think we'll go for that guys 👍

Nah, I wouldn't give points for it personally, they have the distinction of being the first (insert region here) champion...

So, I know this isn't GTTCC related but we're racers and I'm up watching FP3 for Suzuka...
SEBASTIAN VETTEL IS LEAVING RED BULL!!!
We're now into silly season people... I love it when the driver market heats up... :D

Wow! Who would of thought that?! Omfg

somewhere on my profile page I put my f1 predictions up and I did say seb would leave. ;)

Down the track today and it was our local championship finals. For the second year running, the GT Academy winners came along. Gaetan Paletou came second in the first race and won the second, he blew them away. Got to have a chat with the guys, they were really friendly and even got some autographs from them.

So, Vettel to Ferrari,
Alonso to, well, if McLaren have him back I would be very surprised and personally I'd stick with Jenson.
Why, you may ask?
Well, because when Button won his world championship he beat Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso and Raikkonen. 4 former world champions.
Alonso can't claim to have beaten Hamilton when they were in the same team, let alone for a world championship...

button was in the brawn, it was untouchable

I did predict Alonso at red bull but that's clearly not

The only predictions I will make is Alonso champion. That Honda engine and Honda again will be unbeatable. But I don't think Magnusson will be good enough to bring the team title home. Kyvat will beat Ricciardo and verstappen won't be that consistent.

The main part of motorsport i'm worrying about is whether MG will stay in BTCC next year :(

Any transfer news here then? ;)

My relationship with VW is quite shakey given the lack of factory support, that and I'm waiting to see what they unveil for next season. Let's just say I only signed a one-year contract, my options are limited but open atm...

Agree totally about the enduro vs sprint argument, I think sprint races are far more fun, and 20mins are about right length in my opinion. 1hr is too draining for people who don't practice a lot and have full time jobs (like me). The HP penalty seems just right atm.

If people want endurance round, maybe for round 8 we can do a 45min day/night race at one of the 24h tracks

Australasia track suggestions (x2):
Tsukuba, Suzuka East, SS route 5, Mt Panorama (waiting for Macau)

Europe (x2):
Brands Hatch Indy, Rome, Ascari

America (x2):
Willow Springs, Laguna Seca (don't really like it though, maybe just have 1 round in US?)

GT track (x1):
Trial Mountain, Eiger Nordwand, Deep Forest, Sierra (not sure if this is original?)

Finale (x1):
Spa 24h, Le Mans 24h, Nurburgring 24h

like the asia cup etc at the end of the season, I put an enduro at the end as a separate cup. This would be a day/night 24hr thing

yeah yuc mate, I thought that the US tracks were quite poor, not much choice. Sierra counts as a world track I think, shame :/

In the process of getting rounds 7, 8 and 9 made as videos, when I realised there was no promo. It's a rush job, but I'll never get a chance to use this song again... If you're oldschool like me, you'll probably appreciate the choice...

My F1 2015 predictions:
Teams and drivers:
Well, we know Seb has ditched Red Bull for Ferrari, because I reckon he's in a grump that Ricciardo has shone more than him.

Alonso... well we know he's left Ferrari but unsure where he'll go, but because of McLaren re-partnering with Honda he'll go there simply because of Honda. I mean, if you know about 88-89 then who wouldn't want a chance? Lol

Kvyat has filled Seb's seat, in all honesty RB haven't thought it through, yes he's quick but there are quicker drivers waiting for that jump/move, for me personally, I would of given Hulkenberg an offer, he really deserves a better seat than where he's at, he has really proven what he can do, look at last season... he took that useless Sauber to great finishes and also look at the 2012 Brazilian GP, he lead the most laps!

With Kvyat gone from Toro Rosso, that leaves a seat open there... which personally I think Vergne should have, he definitely deserves a seat because of his loyalty to the team and his consistency. However, Carlos Sainz Jr. is currently top of the list for the seat, but although he's got racing experience he has only competed completely in Formula 3 and GP3, so if he gets the seat he could turn into a Marcus Ericsson lol.

About Ericsson, I think he may eventually be dropped from Caterham simply due to his performance. And personally they should pick up Formula 3 champion Rafaele Marciello, he has experience and he has driven an F1 car before and could be competitive.

With the Bianchi-Ferrari speculation over for now, Bianchi should stay at Marussia for another season before Kimi leaves, Bianchi will be first to inline for that seat.

McLaren are supposedly dropping Button for Alonso and retaining Magnussen. I'm sorry but are you nuts? Button is still having his competitive days and although they're not the best of results. He still has more to give, maybe another 2 or 3 seasons then he could hang up the gloves.

I reckon Simona De Silvestra may replace Gutiérrez at Sauber.

Red Bull:
Ricciardo - Kvyat

Mercedes:
Hamilton - Rosberg

Ferrari:
Vettel - Raikkönen

McLaren:
Alonso - Button

Force India:
Pérez - Hulkenberg

Lotus:
Grosjean - Maldonado

Sauber:
Sutil - De Silvestro

Toro Rosso:
Verstappen - Vergne

Williams:
Massa - Bottas

Marussia:
Chilton - Bianchi

Caterham:
Kobayashi - Marciello

FP drivers:

Red Bull - Carlos Sainz Jr.
Mercedes - TBA
Ferrari - TBA
McLaren - Stoffel Vandoorne
Force India - Giedo van der Garde
Sauber - Esteban Gutiérrez
Lotus - Charles Pic
Williams - Susie Wolff
Marussia - Jolyon Palmer
Caterham - Davide Rigon

Championship:
I reckon it will be close between Alonso (McLaren), Vettel (Ferrari), Ricciardo (Red Bull), Hamilton (Mercedes) and Rosberg (Mercedes) and it will go to the wire. I predict that Alonso will edge out Rosberg and Vettel to the title while Hamilton suffers an inconvenience and eventually finishes inferior to Ricciardo and Button.

I bet you I am miles off hahaha.

I agree with most, but I think the Sauber/De Silvestro partnership has ended, unfortunately. It's really disappointing because I like Simona, thought she was much better in IndyCar than Danica 'The Most Overrated Driver In History other than any Andretti since Mario' Patrick. That and Sutil has lost so much pace, he's a shadow of his pre-criminal record self.

The biggest talents, for me, currently going to waste are Nico Hulkenberg and Romain Grosjean. Jules Bianchi too but he's pretty much set once Kimi goes. Drop Chilton and Ericsson. Ericsson is a joke and Chilton is just not quick enough. Jesus, I'd rather put Tom in an F1 car over Max.

nice one evo 👍 those graphics are so bad (not your fault) but it's the game in general. That doesn't look like a sim game, but an old NASCAR arcade game. Shame :(

turning into an F1 talk lol. Well I think button should go, tbh I've never been excited by him and he just can't do it anymore, but I don't like Magnusson either

Have to agree about Hulkenberg, always wanted to see him in a top car, he's so impressive. But vergne has done ok but his loyalty doesn't mean he should stay.Look at Hamilton and McLaren

last season we said the same about riciardo, although I did say I thought he'd do well (but not this well) but I think he'll be fine. Seb, well I think he's grumpy about Daniel but I believe he actually wants a change.

Anyway, who's gonna be there Wednesday?

I'm in, definitely... :D

Can I also make a suggestion? Can we drop the bonus points for leading a lap and fastest lap next season please? Working these points out is a right headache. TBH, fastest laps would be better as a mini-championship. Each fastest lap is worth 1 credit, most credits wins the title of (insert name for FL championship here).

So, Japanese GP...
I won't ruin the race result but the race was Red Flagged as Jules Bianchi was involved in an incident. Nothing has been 100% concerned but he had an off at the same corner as Adrian Sutil. Drivers are saying that Bianchi hit the JCB that was being used to remove Sutil's Sauber. Marussia say Jules didn't respond on radio, the FIA have announced he was unconscious and being moved to a local hospital.
Nothing 100% confirmed but this just has this really ominous feeling, especially after what happened to Maria De Villota...

Jules Bianchi has hit the JCB that was transporting Sutil's Sauber off the circuit?

Ouchie. That has got to hurt! No YouTube video shows the accident entirely so I'll have to wait till 1:15 today :(

Reminds me of Maria de Villota unfortunately, hope he's alright.

Me too, I'm actually really worried :(

Have you seen some driver interviews? Vettel is definitely worried about him because he said "the racing is not important right now"

lap leaders we could, but would be good to keep fastest lap, although the lap led makes different pit strategies.

Yeah, remember that when BBC don't show the race live it's annoying when people tell me the results lol. But they didn't even show the accident, I thought that sutil was bady injured and was confused as the crash was small. But it's not something you want to see at 9 in the morning, reminds me so much of marco simoncelli :(
Bianchi's career is over :( but at least he's ok at the moment. But was worrying all day

That's why I didn't put the result, but I thought, given the severity, it was something worth mentioning... You didn't see the accident live either, it took a moment to notice that the Marussia was even there.
