I'm just really impressed with the driving standards tonight in terms of battling, especially through the kink, which has the potential to be a massive banana peel on a track like this. There were occasions where I yielded, and occasions where my opposition yielded, and we got through the corner and continued the battle, rather than eating the arnco barrier. 👍

I heard armco barriers taste quite nice this time of year... 👍

Not a hope in hell my tyres were better than yours lol

I still had all 4 at 10 when you came out in front of me, I closed the gap for a couple of laps until I dropped it. I think my tyres were only about 3 laps old. Could have been close but you probably would have taken it.

For the record my best lap was a 16.8, just as I was catching @Ian_83 to unlap myself.

Agreed on the standards, very impressed, had anyone got any incidents that need reviewing?

Only when you found my rear bumper.

I can't think of anything major. It was all good from my seat. 👍

Nothing to report on my end. The only incident I can think of is giving Mad a hard tap in the rear going into Turn 4, but we both made it through the corner. The added speed in the slipstream caught me out.

I thought you hit the right hand wall going into the kink causing the collision?!

Apologies if it was my fault :(
To be fair I haven't a clue either, and I don't care. We made it through and that's the main thing mate. 👍 Dont apologise, it's not required at all.

Come to think of it, you could be right because I was still on my worn out soft tyres. They were wrecked.

I was a bit worried when you caught me actually, I've never been in a situation where someone is trying to un-lap themselves like that. I was not quite sure how to handle it so I kept pushing.

Yeah, it was an unusual situation, I was pleased with the eventual cutback move just before you pitted though! I didn't have the straight line speed to get you in the first half of the lap!

Sorry guys, my head was just not in it. Annoyed to get a DC with 7 minutes left

well done on the win @Ian_83

@Mikey24 were you racing? You were parked on the grid all race for me. had to try avoid and crashd into the all but went straight through you
Yeah I was racing, I couldn't see you at all on track. :(

If anyone has the final results can you PM me them please. I have all bonus points so just need the positions :)

Feel under the weather and a bad day so any issues will deal with them tomorrow.

Top job all

I have a photo if needed mate, as I said earlier you and Joe DCd at roughly the same time, maybe 20 seconds apart. Who gets 8th and 9th I guess would come down to who travelled further?

Hmm, that's true. How far apart were they? My replay stopped before that.

Mine did to, and I forgot to save it!

I think it was shortly after Joe had pitted so at a guess True would have gone further but it would have been close!

What about a joint 8th?

I have to agree and give a big 👍 to @john sweet for his great backmarker skills.

Me and @sb360 had the same strategy down to the same lap each pit, we tried mate. 👍
I made 1 error close to the end and lost 3 seconds, @Ian_83 you probably noticed this? but yea I pushed as hard as I could all race, I had a few off laps mainly when I was trying to work out in my head what lap to pit and gap to Ian haha.

All perfectly clean though as usual.

Yeah I did see the gap jump a little. It was a welcome sight. :) What were your tyres like near the end, I'm guessing that you had a fair amount of wear at the end?

Yeah mate, we had the same strategy to the lap, get the SMs out of the way and then split the remaining time in two! I just didn't have the pace you had to make it work, very impressive getting into the 17s with SMs in quali as well, good work! 👍

@Ian_83 used the strategy that I attempted last week, I say attempted because I forgot to change tyres and had to pit twice!

I was going to start on SM too, but I changed my mind just before we started.

Really? No-one mentioned that you weren't on track before the race. Not even once.

Edit: going as long as poss on Softs is better than starting on SMs I think, means you don't have to guess how long to suffer on the SMs for.

One thing that irritated me a bit was seeing people starting on SM and pitting after only 1 or 2 laps. I know that there is nothing in the rules that says you can't do it, so I don't blame anyone for choosing that strategy, I just think that it's a bit cheeky really.

I did a long stint on SM at Laguna before switching to the SS and I was fairly pleased with the outcome. Your mistake probably helped you win last week. :(
