Long Answer: What do this, E30, Veyron, bacon, Star Wars, Deadpool, Minions, Minecraft, Undertale, Doge, Snoop Dogg, Bieber, the Kardashians, and basically every Internet meme ever have in common? They are all massively overrated by the *stereotypical* Internet community way too much, which is beyond seriously uncool.
Come on, the E30 and Deadpool are not that overrated!

Anyways, I voted uncool because of reasons already said. Now don't get me wrong, I like the car itself. It's not my favorite GT-R (IMO it's C110 or R33), but it's still cool enough to warrant a very high cool by itself. However, as with it's younger, more powerful brother, the R35, it is praised by one of the worst fanbases in motoring who treat the R34, R35, and (to an extent) the R32 like it's the second coming. Thanks to the box office records set by Furious 7 (the 6th highest grossing movie of all time) and the ever-growing JDM bro crowd, it seems like the fanbase who worships this car unfortunately won't stop anytime soon. Gran Turismo also plays a part in this, but it is less than you think. For example, the TVR Cerbera Speed 6 has been in every mainline Gran Turismo game since the first, so do you see an idiotic fanbase that worships the Cerbera? No. There isn't. Besides, recent Gran Turismo games have been flopping, and what some people seem to forget is that the R34 has appeared in NFS Underground and Underground 2, both of which were commercially successful, and unlike in Gran Turismo, you can modify your R34 to make it look similar to the one Paul Walker drove. The reason why this gets more exposure than any other of the other GT-Rs (besides the R35) is that the R34 appeared in more games and got more screen time in FNF. Here's an example. The only time the R33 and the C110 appeared in an NFS game was in the NTSC-J version of the first Need For Speed game. The R32 has been featured in the Japanese version of the original NFS, World, The Run, and No Limits. Meanwhile, the granddaddy of them all, the C10 has been in the NTSC-J version of The Need For Speed, World, and NFS 2015. None of the games the other Skyline generations have appeared in were even that memorable. The R34 was in many successful NFS games, and that is one of the many reasons why the R34 is more well known. Anyways, to sum it up, it can be uncool for many reasons, and it looks like it is heading for Seriously Uncool and it's never looking back.

I don't think you'll have to worry about that. I don't think it's anywhere near the "uncool" caliber that the Escalade and Prius are. I feel that, at worst, this car will end up in the high uncool, low "vanilla" category. I think there are plenty of people on here that find this as a cool car.

One of the most legendary Nissan cars ever made. However, for being part of that 2F2F movie, it got that rice respect that it truly doesn't deserve. One of the recent Fast & Furious movies though, have a different tuned Skyline, a much proper one which, I respect it.

The car was also involved in JGTC, mostly known in several liveries, the Pennzoil one, most memorable in GT2, Midfield Raceway.

The R33 would be legit my Sub-Zero skyline but, you can't beat a classic lke the R-34. Ztune would of taken a Sub-Zero.

Also, do'nt forget this - R34 was also one of the new cars featuring legendary colors. Midnight Purple, 3 variants of it I think. I, II and III.

This will get a High Cool from me.

Seriously Uncool.

The one everyone fawns over. I think it's SU though because it's far too common. It's sad now that the Australian car scene is at the sort of stage that the R34 GT-R outnumbers every other generation combined at a cruise or car show.

And then there's the names. Skyline GT-R V-Spec. V-Spec II. M-Spec. V-Spec II Nür. Z-Tune (to be fair that's a NISMO thing but it still applies). N1.

There's so many bloody different ones that nobody can tell anymore which ones are sought after, which ones are "normal" without having to Google the damn thing... It's worse than the Pagani Zonda (well, almost).

Then there's the pop culture making this out to be some form of deity, I mean, yeah it was a great thing to drive when it was new but it's like the Supra now except with a slightly less capable engine. And to think those two weren't even in the same price range or league when they were new.

It really sucks having to vote this way but that is how it must be done I'm afraid.

A JDM tuner's dream, and it's overatted from F&F.

Meh.

Also this:

In 2002 Nissan released the final R34 GT-R, the V-Spec II Nür (Nürburgring) and was developed at the Nürburgring and 1000 were made and came with larger turbo's (allowing the boost to be safely increased to produce 450HP) and a speedometer reading up to 200MPH.

Is, as far as I'm aware, not quite true. The car didn't make 450hp out of the box, but it had the potential to do so.

Stupidly overrated.
F&F fanboys.
My least favourite Skyline.
Hasn't aged well.
Isn't an R32.
Isn't an R33.

Meh, because I was incredibly conflicted and couldn't put Cool or Uncool.

I don't really think the Z-Tune should be included. It's not a trim like the V Specs and such - it's an entirely redone car by NISMO. It'd be like polling an R33 and including the 400R.

That aside, the R34 has always been my least favourite Skyline. Uninspiring design with lots of things tacked on. Seriously uncool.

Yes, another SU @Liquid ;)

Plus the Z-Tune has a sense of presence that all of the other R34 models lack.

Uhh... Sub-Zero? Any Skyline is cool in my book, until the G35 strayed away from that classic Skyline look. I like the older Skylines quite a lot, especially the R33 based NISMO 400R. I love the R32 also, there is a bit more early 90's styling visible on that generation...but something makes me like the R34 too.

Honestly, all of them get a Sub Zero. But I didn't know it wasn't okay to like the R34 at all...

Never really been a fan of the Skyline. A bit too boxy for my tastes. And I've never understood the fanboy association with a so-so looking car. That said, I don't completely dislike it. I wouldn't call it uncool, simply meh.

On a side note, I really wish Gran Turismo would cut down on the number of Skylines/GTR's in the game. Though that's a subject that's been beaten to death for a few years now.

"Yeah man, it's totally legal in the states."

It's kind of cool, but it just doesn't have the prestige as earlier models.

I actually love this car.

I mean, I love the idea of an unassuming square repmobile stuffed with turbos, differentials, graphic g-meters and enough computing power to launch several space shuttles. Even if they've got pleblon interiors.

But, even if I would maybe/probably consider one for my lottery garage*, that still doesn't keep it from being uncool.

*between my Rolls Royce Camargue and Buick Roadmaster Stationwagon (complete with vinyl "woodie" exterior trim).
