Called it!

The cars characteristics in Gran Turismo are not representative of how it actually drives. Have you driven a Veyron? Do you know if it can turn?
Of course it can actually turn. What I mean was that it can not turn well compared to other cars. The 300M special can turn better than the ordinary 300M, due to a better suspension, sports tires, racing brakes, and lower ride height.

So why did you say that it...

Well, yeah, it's hardly an Ariel Atom, is it?

A source would be nice.
Here is your source:

from Wikipedia

The 300M Special was offered beginning midyear 2002. It featured a 255 hp (190 kW; 259 PS) 3.5 liter engine designed to use premium (91+ octane) gasoline and producing 258 pound force-feet (350 N·m) of torque, with a 3.89 final drive ratio.[5] Performance-type dual exhaust, high-performance brakes, and 18-inch Z-rated tires were standard, with Michelin Pilot Sport 245/45R18 performance tires optional. Other standard features of the Special included premium "Waterfall" leather seats, signal mirrors, body cladding, and slightly lower ride height. This model also included high-intensity discharge headlamps and imitation-carbon-fiber interior trim panels that replaced the standard woodgrain trim panels.[6]

That didn't tell me a thing about its turning capabilities. Right now, I'm under the impression that it can't turn.

It can turn. For starters, the sports tires, racing brakes, sports suspension, and lower ride height are things that can make any car turn better.

Saying that this car is a sports sedan is like saying my 1.0 Turbo Vauxhall Corsa is a hot hatch.

It isn't. My car may have a factory issue bodykit for the trim level, low profile tires, sports suspension and seats, but that doesn't make it handle like a VXR.

It's the same with this 300M. The fancy stuff on it doesn't make it like an M5.

Especially from a company who I wouldn't want tuning my suspension. Giving a pig track shoes doesn't change the fact it's a pig.

255hp and 1600+kg doesn't equal a sports sedan immediately.

I'm not sure why you don't think it's a sports sedan. It makes sports-sedan like power and torque, and has all the goodies that you'd expect in a sport sedan.

An M5 of the era is a sports sedan because that's what it was designed to be. This 300M is more like a 535i M-Sport. Simply a sporty looking trim level.

It makes 2bhp more than the 'base' model.
The base model already makes more than your average humdrum midsize sedan.

From what I recall of my post, I called it 'transport'.
Yep.
I can assure you that a 300M Special is not everyday transport, but car for car enthusiasts and people who want a sporty, luxurious sedan good for windy roads and fun times. "Everyday cars" don't have racing brakes, low ride heights, sports tires, sports suspensions, dual exhausts, and performance interiors usually, do they?

...the last thing on the list of cars to be enjoyed on a canyon road or a racetrack is an old 300. Our Mazda6 could out perform that.

While a new Mazda 6 can do that, technically, every car is meant for a windy canyon road. Some cars can drive down the road better than others can, though.

Our Mazda6 is 10 year's old, and could definitely out perform it in bends. And no not every car is really meant for a windy road.

Still didn't say 'everyday'...
Definitely didn't say 'everyday cars' as I already confirmed for you, so I don't know why that's in quote marks...
You did call the Toyota Estima "transport" the other day, and it is an every day car.

That's correct.
and it is an every day car.
I have never seen one, nor have I ever seen a hybrid minivan of any kind, so no it isn't.

Not that this has anything to do with anything. Just because I use the same word for two cars doesn't mean I am drawing any line between the two. Had I called them both crapwagons would you be chucking a thrombo about how one can't be a crapwagon if the other is?

Stop making crap up and attributing it to other people.
