Bonkers car-thing with actual concept-car looks that work, stupid colors, and a general vibe that you don't take yourself seriously if you drive one, yet you know and like what you're driving. I'd daily thye hell out of one of these with Cyclops-style glasses and a silver suit. Every.Freaking.Day.

So so sooooo sad Citroën isn't in here ):

"Why is it called a Cactus? Well, you see, those bumps on the side, they're supposed to stop damage from... Hey, where are you going?"

I'd rock one, because I don't take myself very seriously at all, but it's still not cool.

For some reason, I'm not even surprised Famine drove one that was purple. :P

I hadn't even known this had gone to production, and with interesting safety features as well. It's cool.

I haven't made up my mind yet. Either cool or uncool, no way for it to be "meh." I want to vote cool because it has a very nice interior but it has a chocolate bar on the door and overall hideous.
Eh... It looks like something that would be decently fast but the engines listed say nope. Going uncool because it's a lying chocolate cactus. And there is no C4.

Just how divisive this car has been in terms of the votes is the proof that it's actually the coolest thing yet to be polled.

I think it will finish around .2 though, so it's technically just a little better than average :sly:

It's really ugly but, it works well in the real world and I like the idea behind it, solid Cool.

Having learnt more about this car I regret giving it an uncool. Saying that, the very ugly lights and weird cladding would mean I don't think it would do better than Meh.

Yes, let's attack those who bother to push car design forwards and use ingenuity to solve real world problems!
If you want to jump off a cliff and attack all of them then be my guest. There are plenty of examples which pushed car design yet actually came out good.

Is this a thinly veiled insult?

I said car design not gimmicky features out of a children's toy catalog. A constant disruption of the interior is not advancing in any way nor can it masquerade as something clever. Then again, I'm not easily impressed by just anything. I know I'm the minority though.

I'm not throwing insults but I can't exactly control someone's sensitivity level.

...As something that is a godsend to anyone who spends a decent amount of time parking in tight spaces, and as something which will save people quite a bit of money, it's hardly gimmicky when it's 100% practical and functional.

So a less cluttered instrument panel with a simple, intuitive interface - which also cuts back the lower half of the centre console allowing for a joined seating arrangement - is pretty old school and dumb, right?
Then again, I'm not easily impressed by just anything.
Clearly, since you obviously want a car design so ludicrously bizarre it would never be commercially viable. This is by far the quirkiest thing on sale now.

Guess who parks in a lot of tight spaces in car garages like everyday? This guy. This is a gimmick. I have no use for such things. I strongly suggest you invest some time looking up its definition. Nowhere does a gimmick have to have no function or practicality whatsoever. Anyways, I've never been hit or tapped on my door if anything I've had a part of my car (which isn't protected on this car) damaged which is the rear mid height quarter panel.

How about we put the whole car in a bubble? That is also practical and functional. How about we wrap the whole car in Airbumps so we can protect our dear cars from the big bad world? At the end of the day, when it comes to all of the people will buy this car. I would bet my soul (what's left of it) that the majority of these buyers won't be saved by these pads. Come talk to me when the majority of manufacturers actually use this stuff. Believe me that Citroen isn't the first to think about it. However, will they wrap my M5? I mean I had the car for years but you know that inevitable door ding will come you know?

It's disruptive there is a difference so do keep up but Tesla (and many others) got it right. Integrate the damn interface. I don't need something sliding and standing up and then on top of that breaking the immediate line of the dash. Also it's just one more thing to possibly go wrong. Integrate and everybody is happy. Citroen is clearly trying too hard. There is nothing impressive about a screen going in and out. I'm assuming it slides in and out and it isn't fixed there. If it is then JFC.

I don't want a car design so bizarre. If bizarre was my style then I would love one of these. Please don't tell me what I want as you couldn't possibly be more wrong. Actually what I want is commercially viable as it exists today in many cars. This car is stupid not quirky to me. There is a line between quirky and stupid. Citroen crossed it, built a house and took residence on the stupid side. I'll give Citroen credit for being ballsy but they grew a pair after a bearfight, grenade, hurricane and a boat race in that order.

It strikes me as one of those cars that will be shockingly cool in about ten years, like the Avantime. No one will buy it, and it will become an odd kind of collectable, because it's a very unique and very interesting car, whether people actually like it or not.

Whether it's ahead of it's time or just lurking in an automotive dead end, I predict this will be a car that in the future enthusiasts will look back at and think "you know, that was a weird car but it was pretty nifty".

Hideous. If the headlights remind me of those on the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, that's an automatic Uncool. Having the rest of the car look terrible bumps it down to Seriously Uncool. I know those bumper things are designed to reduce low-speed damage, but they are ugly as hell! Why would you make them different colors? Keep them the same as the body.

I will say the interior looks good, but the leather straps are stupid on a modern car IMO.

I honestly like the looks of the car apart from those bumps on the side. I get their purpose and all, but if you want to avoid getting dings in it, surely you'd be cautious enough to just park it somewhere quieter? That said, it'd be unfair to mark the whole thing down based on one small design cue. Still only a meh though.

I saw one like this, except without the red bits, in France in August. It was filthy but it looked like some cool near future military vehicle. It just looked cool.

I find myself being less and less put off by the design and more and more liking it as I look. A bit in the same way I felt about the new Jeep Cherokee.
