It's good looking, very fast, and not particularly cool.
Good luck with that.Meh, I'd be more impressed if they shed 707 lbs of weight and kept the power stock.
Yes the superlite editions of the 1960s seem to be a lost movement (Ford Galaxy, Dodge Polara...). Shame really.Good luck with that.
F6F > Dodge Charger.It's called a Hellcat. S U.
Dodge just seems to cater to the old-school everything-was-better-way-back-when murica **** yeah crowd these days...
The competition are going out and conquering the world, what is Dodge doing? Apart from travelling over a 400m stretch slightly faster, and making forgettable people movers.
affordable
DriveSRT websiteMSRP starting at $63,995
Definitely a bargain for what you get, but I'd hardly call it affordable.affordable
See my avatar for more details.
I'm finding 190-mph ratings for the Aston, but it really doesn't matter as the Charger is still faster. The second-fastest sedan in top speed, the Tesla P85D...
700hp for $64k is affordable.
This is the exact reason why I can't stand the whole Hellcat craze. Its got 707hp. Awesome, but what else can it do? That's the problem, and why I applaude Chevy and the Z/28 and why I'm hopeful for the GT350. Those are cars that are competing on a global scale. This only really appeals to the Good 'Ole Boys who still think that cars were best back in the day with Cudas and Boss 429s. While @carracerptp brought up a good point that this is NOT meant to be a sports car, just look at what BMW is doing with the M5, Audi with the RS7, and other cars of the like. While they may not give the same power per dollar spent, they represent a much better all around package. Is the power impressive? Yes, very. But there is so much more than just power. I can be more generous to the Charger than the Challenger, but this is still very much uncool. But I wouldn't skip a chance to at least try it.
And then Europe laughs at it for not going round corners properly. It sends a giant middle finger to Europe.
Sub zero.
It's a high-performance mid-size sedan... as is the M5.If you wanted a "safe" choice, sure, the M5 is miles better if you don't look at cost. Maybe the S65AMG is even better than that?
When did for a car to be cool it had to be compared with others outsides it's class? Dodge isn't saying this is a M5 killer. They are saying its a 4 sedan with 700HP that comes in a price it's actually not only affordable on the used market.
Damn, I wish I would've read this thread before voting cool otherwise I would've voted sub zero because of ridiculous statements like this.
uhh... maybe? If you wanted a "safe" choice, sure, the M5 is miles better if you don't look at cost. Maybe the S65AMG is even better than that?

...the S65 is definitely not a coupe unless you actually get the coupe. It's a high-performance mid-size sedan... as is the M5.
So, how exactly is it not in the same class? The S65AMG is a coupe, so that comparison is silly...
203mph for the Rapide S. 1mph behind the Dodge but with a lot less horsepower (150 or so).I'm finding 190-mph ratings for the Aston, but it really doesn't matter as the Charger is still faster.
