I really DON'T like that...
I was approaching with my own tune (2:00,...) Now I will have to start all over again ...
Bought a new Beamer and tried your tune today, but I kept hitting the walls. For some reason this does not work for me.
Also, I cannot reach 99,5% since 93,4% brings me to 630PP (628 bhp). I did an oil change...

Tried @praiano63 tune, which gave a higher topspeed but I came too slow out of the corners.

Back to my own tune (in my old car) and I got under 2' now (1:59,745 for place 726 at this moment), still about 1,6" behind your blue line.
Edit: just noticed you are using steering assistance & TC1...
Never used steering assistance, but since after a few laps my arms are starting to hurt a bit, I am going to give that a go... (I wish I was 50 again) :D

Hope this helps you geezers but you are not allowed to pass me!!!!! ok? hahahaha:):):)

LOL  Me thinks you've little to fret from 'ol Duce big guy,, In my dreams "ONLY" could I catch you !! Typically IF I can still see your name and line out in front of me as I cross the finish I feel I've done GR8!!

Thanks Stewy! I'll give that pup another run this morning and try your set up. By the by - I too used JimiPitBull's tune [https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ar-super-lap-mount-panorama-mrc.323475/page-3] post #71 - with just a very few minor adjustments to fit my driving,, helped me run just about 3 seconds quicker than my lap with the Master Praiano's tune and I may just have to call this one a dun deal.👍👍

Thanks for the tune, mate, but I'm sorry, without knowing the Initial Final gear I can't set the gearbox to your settings!
Except if for the 1st gear 4,069 is not the lowest number available (but normally the 1st gear is always set to the lowest value as well as the highest gear (here the 6tg gear) is always set to the highest value available.
Spent some time trying to get to your gearbox setting, but failed.
Maybe you can still remember your Initial Final (or where you got it from).
Interesting that @jimipitbull doesn't mention his Initial Final either! :banghead:
I hope you don't do this to keep us other poor geezers behind you!? :D

I think you`ll find that the gearbox setting is the standard one. Just reset and then adjust the final drive to Stewy`s. I have tried both and the difference is insignificant, in fact I can lead him to about halfway up Mt. Panorama by running less downforce. After that his skill far exceeds mine but I`m learning.

Stock setting is correct just move final drive to suit

Thanks to both of you, you are right, Stewyrippers gearbox is the stock-settings! :banghead:
Stupid me not to find out myself, just couldn't imagine somebody posting a "Tune" without changing the gearbox! :grumpy:
Must be my age... :guilty:

Well, after some hours of driving and changing this and that, I managed to gain 0,522 seconds and overtake @EmaNymton
But still... even with @jimipitbull
's gearbox, I can not keep pace with @Stewyripper (at least not on the long downhill straight where I (only) reach Top Speed of 302 km/h (~ 188 mph).
But at least I have reached my tonight's goal to go under 1:59 with my new 1:58,628

I have even created an Excel-Spreadsheet to keep record of the different settings (also for future purposes), but it seems not to be possible to input this table here in the same format as it is in Excel, but however... here are my winning settings (anybody feel free to advise me of possible improvements, since - as I said before - @Stewyripper is still faster and therefore out of reach, especially on the long downhill straight):

Anybody interested in the Excel-Spreadsheet please E-mail me, it has some cool functions like converting km/h in mph, kW into HP (and vice versa... yes, the power in Europe is officially measured in kW (as if a car were a fridge :banghead: ), but everybody still talks of HP, and it can also convert Nm (Newton metres) into ftlb (and vice versa).
I wished I would be half as good in GT6 and tuning as I am in Excel! :D

Sorry for triple-post, BUT: I finally managed to overtake
my fellow geezers (except @jotafduarte of course, who is still 0,318 seconds ahead, but... who knows?).
The changes I made to the above setup were:
Traction Control = 2 (!)
Spring Rate: 18,00 / 17,50
Accel. Sensitivity: - / 12
Brake Sensitivity: - / 34
Downforce: 390 / 875
Final Gear: 2,000

So: sorry @Stewyripper , you wanted me (us) not to overtake you, but I just couldn't resist! :D
Time to celebrate with a:cheers:.
It's 9:20 a.m. here, so a bit early for a  but not too early to go to bed! :D
Finally I'm in retirement and not on the run (even though quick enough still to be on the run :D).
Good night everybody!

Edit:
Well, it wasn't to be with the good night... 12:20 p.m. already and still driving
@ Bathurst!
But it paid off... now I have even overtaken @jotafduarte by 0,055 seconds with a 1:57,724 as #290 in the Worlds Rank and for the time being, I'm the leader of the geezer-gang (for the first time ever).
This will (I suppose) not hold for very long, especially when you fellow geezers find the new Praiano Tune for the BMW...
But it feels good and that track, that car and that race are really great fun!
See you on the grid but mind the "Overtaking Forbidden"-Sign at the Start-line! :D

WT...🤬 !?
Turned TC to 1 and steering assistance to soft: beat my best time with almost a full second on the first try 💡 to 1'58,778 (place 568).

It is really weird, I hardly ever use TC and NEVER used steering help before... This is pure magic

Edit: shaved another 0,3" to 1:58,478 (place 491) :D and still messing up a few corners...

Same here Lionelg,, on all counts!! I did manage to pick a few tenths and moved into the 1:58's but Wow!! He, Waukazoo, Stontium and Jota just DISAPPEAR !! As excellently as this car navigates this event, it's AWESUM and amazing how well those GEEZERS get that hotrod around the track !!

As always, GEEZERS RULE! :gtpflag:

Off topic of the 630pp event, as tough as it is to get into them,, the 530pp QuickMatch at NRing GP track in the Megane Trophy is a HOOT!! Not to mention there's some serious change to be had ~ ~ IF you can tolerate the failed disconnects as you try to get in, and accept there are some unscrupulous drivers - BUT there are more I believe and have found who are really good and fair!! So in my opinion it's worth the hassle, AND once you finally do get in - you're IN!! It's more fun than running the RBChallenge and in just a few races can equal or better the pay out.
You'll see typically for last place near or just over 200k and often times in a fairly full room - which is often - you can pocket well over 400K to your account for a WIN. This tune by Ridox (with your tweeks and an UP shift in power as it is for 526pp) really works pretty good on the Base Model, the Yellow Megane Trophy and the Anniversary Edition cars:

I am shocked!
Things like that should be forbidden! :grumpy:
Didn't I tell you of the "Do not overtake" sign?
You still driving the same setup or did you find a hidden overtake-button you want to share with us lesser mortals?

@jotafduarte :
Yeah, it's one of the most important things in life: always have a good excuse at hand! :D

I am using the same setup mate, just that lap came together like they do sometimes. that's the difference between us and the Aliens who get it right most of the time.

Now mate, first of all congratulations!
But from now on you fall into the category "Alien"! :D
Now... you must have changed something in your settings!?
Or do you want to tell me that you are just getting quicker by nature?
I can keep pace with all Aliens on the long 1st straight (after the start), except you!
We are driving the same car, but you are just driving away from me, so your setup must be different, since in that part of the track you cannot do much wrong, just pedal to the metal (or plastic in this case), no special skills required here before the brake point for turn 2.
Would you mind sharing your settings with us lesser mortals? I could well need even HALF a second or so (one of my Austrien "friends" is tailing me hard and I am afraid he might even catch me sooner or later.
I also promise not to overtake YOU (but that's a lie, and I never lie!). :D
Or don't you want that Excel Spreadsheet any more?
I have even got yet another Excel Spreadsheet from the master @praiano63 himself! VERY INTERESTING (I guess in America they call it "awesome")!
Apropos America: in the U.S. before President Obama took offie, his predecessor (the man who used to live in the White House from 2000 to 2008) had a programme called "No Child Left Behind"! (I don't think it ever took effect anyway).
But wouldn't it be nice to have a programme "No Geezer Left Behind"? 💡
Give it a GO!
Thanks! 👍

First are you on a wheel and also are you using full turbo. don't use engine tuning turbo is best on this occasion, apart from that nothing has changed.

Yes drop engine tuning go turbo only
Well, I could have tried myself instead of asking stupid questions! :banghead:
Had I done so, I would have easily noticed that NO engine Tuning + HIGH RPM Turbo results in some more HP than engine Tuning stage 3 + Low RPM Turbo! One doesn't even have to drive a single metre to find that out! :embarrassed:
And by this, I managed to improve my time by yet another 0,631 seconds to 1:57,093 and #242 in the ranks.
But I kept my promise and did not overtake you, even though I had to brake hard even on the finish-straight! :D
No, but seriousely: It's as hard for me as it may be for all of us to repeat a good lap, I think I have 80-90% of red flagged laps until I get a valid one, and then this valid lap is not necessarily quick(er)! :ouch:

However, hereunder are the links to 4 Excel-Spreadsheets and 2 Word documents that you may find useful (or just to Keep record). If not... burn before reading! :D

Hello Ema,

Fantastic laps by all you leaders. One thing if I remember correctly is you had done an oil change and I believe that reduces your horsepower when you are not in an event where you use all available power. Perhaps you have "used" the oil to a level where it no longer makes any difference, but if you have done another oil change it may have reduced your ability to have MORE power after using the power reduction slider. Hope that makes sense.

Personally, I prefer driving the Elise at Eiger

I have another stupid question now:
does anyone know if icreasing the wheel-size (inching up 1 or 2 inches) does make a car faster or slower on a given setup?
Or does one have to adust the setup to the fact that there are bigger tyres mounted?
I know, I know... I could try that out by myself too, but I'm ust curious!

No, it seems to make no difference, apart from the visual aspect.
Checked it on a few cars and I noticed no difference whatsoever...
There should be though....something for PD to work on...
Btw: the tires don't get bigger anyway. The higher the rim, the lower the tirewall.
But it should influence car behavior...

Doc did some extensive testing and concluded NO difference

Doc did some extensive testing and concluded NO difference

Back in the day I did some tire circumference testing and discovered there were some differences that varied with the tire type. Though with Racing tires the circumference was consistent for all types.

With the improved accuracy of the MoTec tool, I should dig out the old spreadsheets again and re-run those tests.
