Hello all,

My best wishes for a speedy recovery for @SCClockDr wife.

In my humble option I feel that there are too many clubs. I enjoyed the events That were run as members only events. Since any member can set up a event within the club why not make all the events in one club? Easier to find and a better chance of hanging with the guys.

As far as open racing rooms I enjoy stock racing. I do realize that some of you are quite talented in tuning, something that I admire, but some times I wanna race, stock pp races are fast to set up and run so to me they are more bang for the buck. I will set up an open clean stock room most weekday evenings around 10est. All my friends and folks I don't know will be welcomed unless they race dirty or stupid and do not meet geezer standards.

This is just my option and you know what some say about options

stay well guys see you on the grid

If you LOVE Big Willow, watch Jack Olsen's videos such as this one -

And his guide to Big Willow -

Awesome!

See the video after Jack's BW Guide on my IRL On-board Track Tips thread...
...for the aftermath & dangers of running off-road T9. :scared:

Also, there's a key turn-in landmark missing from GT6's BW at T9. :sly:
First thing I noticed 1st time around it in GT6, having been around it IRL. :odd:

IRL, T3 is another spot on BW that is not forgiving of mishaps.

Rock on Geezers! Whippersnapper lurker is a big fan! 👍

Echo that.

@RocknSoul I share your concerns. If someone wants an event in our Club (GTP-Geezers) they have but to ask me, give me the parameters, & I'll set it up. That has always been the case BTW and no one has ever asked.
I like stock racing, though tuning intrigues me as well.

After seeing several posts regarding too many clubs & or events therein, I'll regretfully stop creating events & shut my club
down. :(

Every Geezer has their own opinion as to how & what to drive in GT6 & therefore few of us seem to get together at the
same time unless a big event is scheduled. :(

It's always a lot of fun when we DO get together, so hopefully we CAN again. 👍👍

Geezers Rule. :gtpflag:

Hopefully You think it over. As in many other things there are so many people they always find out only negative things, why they have joined in so many clubs and other thing is why send fr, if You don't want to drive any. It's always easy to come to the table , when it's ready .
I would like to continue with You and I think that there are lot of people who think same way. If You continue I promise to come race with You in Your club , if have schedule and times when we will meet and have like Gt300 base no tune cup like
Similar to team race and I'm sure there are others I'm in.

While I indeed expressed my concern I in no way intended to alter our course of travel. Any geezer member can create and host a lobby in GTP-Geezers.

When Cathy is a bit further along in her recovery I expect to host more lobbies. I did host an informal room the other day for 1.5 hours.

My plan to deal with the club proliferation is to use different player ID's but for now I'm pretty much exclusively a Geezer.

PS:
PM me for contact info if you like. email or cell# for texting or calls. Wauk has my info as well.

MY Opinion / 2 cents
There are NOT too many clubs, there are not enough Geezers. Everyone is free to not join or resign from a club if they think they are not getting any benefit from the club. Please do NOT close any clubs, they provide options and variety to the Geezer community. I think a lot of us (I am) are frustrated with not being able to find an online room open to enjoy the company of other Geezers. I think this is a temporary condition due to a variety of reasons. Any of us can open a online room either associated with a club or not (like we did before there were clubs), I found one Rock-N-Soul had open yesterday and it attracted more Geezers and we had some fantastic close racing.
I propose that if there are Geezers online and you can't find a "Friends" room, open one and they will come. The worst that can happen is you get some practice on a track & car you picked.

Again please don't close any clubs (if you have, please reopen). I don't see how closing a club would help anything.

Geezers Rule :cheers::cheers:👍👍

it was not my intent to create any negativity, and certainly NO reason for any clubs to close. My point, as I should have stated, is we can only join 8 clubs. I, and I'm sure others here, belong to a few groups, and their clubs all have ended up with a handful of subgroups. You just can't belong to all of them. I liked Doc's idea about running Geezer events out of the Geezer club.

Geezers do indeed ROCK!!!

IRL Geezer's 7:56 Ring Lap

A couple of weeks ago I posted this video on my Heel/Toe thread...
...and someone on the thread inquired about the tires on the NSX.

After going back and watching the video, I realized who the driver is. :dopey:

Meet Motoharu Kurwosawa aka Gan-san, Date of Birth; Aug. 6 1940.
He was a spry 62 when he did this NSX-R (NA2) run in 2002, now 74.

First part of vid. is Japanese lang., no subtitles. :(
Run footage is on-board with pedal cam, no translation needed.

And for you Willow Springs fans...
...some footage of Gan-san in 1st Gen. Ford GT prototype.

A very gentle bump to the thread....so nobody breaks a hip...:D

@SCClockDr best wishes to your wife, and you a WhoosierHUG to you for taking great care of her.

:(x1000 I enjoyed coming home doing some of your events after the late shift. Please reconsider.

Just had a wonderful lap at the new Seasonal at Bathurst with the BMW Z4 GT3 '11
That car drives like a charm and I even broke the 2 minutes barrier!
I think I did not have that much fun in a race for a long time in GT6 with both, the car and the track.
And because I had so much fun, I would like to share it with you, so here's the video (as always: nobody is obliged to watch it):

And in case you need a good setup for that car, you can find it here:

Have fun and cheers to all geezers!

Nice lap Ema - Car looks quite stable and predictable. I might even enjoy driving this track. I haven't had much success in the past. PM

Problems here.
Had to re-install GT6 from scrap. Took me 7,5 hours to install all updates and to get it working again. That was yesterday.

Today the game kicked me offline while doing the Matterhorn seasonal. It happened each time and no times were recorded. Restarted the PS3 about twenty times...:banghead:
It seemed that my initial files were corrupt and I had to restore them in safe mode. After that everything seemed to work like it should.
Tried the Matterhorn again, but could not replicate my fastest (non recorded) lap, which was about 1.2" faster.
Easy gold though.

Al this caused me to not try Geezer TT's today.
Hopefully the system keeps on working now...:odd:

@Stewyripper :
In case you read this, would you mind to share your Setup/tune for the BMW Z4 GT3 '11 @Mount Panorama?
You seem to be able to generate higher top-Speed than my (modified) Praiano-tune!
Thanks and congratulations to your excellent lap time there!
^this +1
@Stewyripper that car is way too fast for me. I have my own tune that works very well for the Nürburgring, but is clearly not working for Bathurst (Mt. Panorama).
What did you feed that that thing ? :D
