A big thank you to the geezers who turned up today to help with the TC series setup.
Consequently the series will start next Saturday as planned.
The track will be Indy road 15 laps stock setup and the car will be the Vauxhall Astra Touring car, normal oil changes etc.
Tyres, there will be three races of which you can use race soft, medium, and hard. You can only use one compoundonce.then it is discarded for the next race.
There will be a short practice period then qualifying for the first race only. Qualifying must take place on the same tyre compound you will use in the first race, reverse grid order will be used after race one.
There will be a success ballast for the top ten, i will explain this on the day.
Again a big thank you to @PapaGnr , @pmallard . and @matilda1234 for your valuable help in getting this series up and running.

I've created a TT test room for Stewy's upcoming Touring Car series. I'll create 1 for each of his proposed races as details become available.

#1 is at Indy Road using the Vauxhall Astra. Tuning is prohibited except for oil change & brake bias setting. The only tuning allowed is the addition or subtraction of "success ballast". Stewy will post those numbers.

So run the TT with the 3 racing tire compounds & play around with the ballast to get a feel for the differences each change creates, although on Race Day those differences will be affected by Stewy's race settings.

See you on Race Day.

The success ballast will be as follows
1st 75kg
2nd 66kg
3rd 57kg
4th 48kg
5th 39kg
6th 33kg
7th 27kg
8th 21kg
9th 15kg
10th 9kg

Ballast must remain at a position where the overall balance of the car does not change, example, 52 /48 must still show after ballast addition.

Hello geezers got a new silly race for Saturday, you will need the Mini Clubman Vision Gran Turismo ,oil changed stock set up as usual. Not saying anything else at this stage except there will be no practice time allowed. evil grin!!!

Don't forget the time trial in the club room finishes this Saturday.

Hello geezers we have a good line up for tomorrow.
There will be lots of close racing for sure and the silly race at the end will be something we have not done yet.
for any newcomers the room will be open at 13.30 BST 08.30 EST racing starts about 30 minutes later.
you will need the Vauxhall Astra touring car and the Mini Clubman vision gran turismo for the last race all run in stock form so no tuning except brake balance and chassis reinforcement if you require.
You may do oil changes.

Well I knew what had to happen so @nordschleife51 was the first I came across going the opposite direction and I thought to myself "he isn't going to escape". Wow - what a hit, then I found Stewy and he didn't see it coming either. Don't believe either changed the results and it was great fun.

Morning geezers, i have set up a time trial for you in my club room . It is a nascar no limits 10 minute trial but there is a catch. fuel is on very fast so a pit stop is required but you need to work out how much fuel to put in so the last two laps will be your fastest. Don't forget @PapaGnr has a time trial at silverstone in the lexus touring car going on in his club, i have set a time in there on soft tyres no ballast.

You target is to beat 44.637

You will also find another challenge on snow in the form of a time trial. i have completed a lap and a time of 1.59.969.
Your challenge is to beat the time using any car you like except any Pikes Peak cars.
The challenge is open until 12/9/15.
tip, some concept cars can enter as can some vgt cars.
