I havent read every page (only most)

Can anyone confirm that we wont have 400m tests!??? Are you kidding me??

We went from talk about including a drag mode to not even including a test? I will be extremely disappointed...

I believe on the first post Amar confirmed that he could not find the test anywhere

Well I have usually become really accepting of it's flaws, but otherwise the game seems to have been rushed. First it was the standards were of lesser quality, I find it okay now, they don't look TOO bad. But I was accepting because I figured I would still be able to customize them as I did in GT4, build cars from the used car dealer, put some wheels on them (usually from Today's Special) and race and drag race them, and then with my friends. Then I come to find out the wheel selection is limited, the fact you can not change the wheels on standard cars and there is no 0-400 testing to be found. In addition, two player split screen is still there, thankfully, but no replays? You can't save replays either? This is pretty significant in the replay (continuous play) factor and enjoying it with friends who may not have the game, and saving good races/funny things. Among others, there are a limited amount of updated cars, despite the 1000 car mark. Combined with the lack of returning tracks (Midfield, Apricot Hill, Infineon) is unfortunate as well, but with the new track editor it should hopefully recreate some old favorites.

I here you, but I'm realizing the quality PD put into the design of these tracks, the few tracks with night racing and dynamic weather as well and the 220 premium cars, their level of detail is above and beyond anything we have seen. I've been among the many people who have criticized PD for spending too much time on "upgrading" the 800 standard cars. I thought their time would have been better spent on creating additional premium cars. But, looking around, it is obvious not many people will be able to race more than 100 cars yet alone 1000. Are their tracks and cars that should be in the game but aren't, sure, but this is PD's game and I'm sure they have their reasons for including one track over another or making one car a premium and not including another. It is disappointing that the customization for the standard cars are limited, but hopefully this could be rectified in future updates to the game. I seriously don't see why an update can't allow a player to change the wheels to standard cars.

With such a large fan base everyone is going to find a flaw or have some criticism of the game and that's fine, but I think people are over blowing these flaws and outright claiming GT5 is a bad game. We won't know for sure until we get it in our hands, but by the looks of it PD has produced another quality game for the PlayStation platform.

I've just had a look at this Enthusia game you've just mentioned and I just thought WOW! I'm so disappointed to have never played or heart of it. Just search on Youtube and you'll know what I mean. Graphics and track accuracy may not be upto GT4's standard, but the way the cars move on the track, the replay angles, the smoothness of the driving and oversteer are wonderful! I just can't believe I never came across this game earlier or I would have kept my PS2!

bye bye to one of my favourites features in GT... play with a friend and enjoy the replay....

:(
I know but this is probably because PS3 limited ram. I really surprised how much they can do with a system with only 512mb of total ram. At least we still get split screen.

Yes, I am not doubting the detail and time they put into the awesome features we have got with GT5 but I just wish that there was a few things they kept and made better. I think they should keep their eyes and ears open on the forums to learn how to better the game, introduce things that we would love to see, and hire enough employees to get it done in a reasonable time, on time.

Amar, the TPRA has been following this with great intrest. You have filled in some blanks that we had. For this THANK YOU! I do have 1 question. Do the race cars have a different tuning section look compared to the street version? And do the karts have a different look also?💡 Thanks in advance.

amar, if it's a pleasure for you to write about this game, I'd ask you to keep writing your impressions because I and some other people are not getting the game on November 24th (yes, believe me), and I like your approach.

Thank you for the deep coverage 👍.

Wow, I was looking at that last screenshot with the plane for about 30 seconds; I couldn't believe it wasn't real. I never really messed with the photomode in GT4, but it looks like I'm going to be making a lifetime supply of desktop backgrounds for myself :dopey:

And of course, thank you Amar for being awesome! GTP is really lucky to have someone who not only has access to tons of information, but also is willing to give his time to share it with the community 👍

Amar, if your still around. In photomode I believe you can change the format from 16:9 to 3:2, does this allow for higher res pictures than 1920-1080?

No. I assume you're talking about the replay photos as those are the 1920x1080 ones. You can't get a higher resolution because it's literally just print screening the image rather than rendering the scene again, and the image output is 1080.

To me, weather on a handful of tracks doesn't justify the loss of customization and personalization of 800 cars. Nurb 24hrs you'll only race in GTLife during the endurance race, same with La Sarthe. While you favorite personalized car could be raced in as many races as it qualified for.

Might be the reason Amar didn't post everything he's found.💡

Amar is a hardcore GTer, therefore you should take all he says lightly, but he also knows that spoiling the game would ruin it for many. The spoilers he gave, are not really spoilers, nothing major or game ruining.

Amar, In 2 player mode, I know you said there were no replay's at all for 2 player, but as far as 2 player mode, can you take your own personal cars from your garage and race (like the cars you have modded) or do you only get the basic models (like in arcade mode)? like If I have 25 cars in my garage of cars that are all modded, can I race those in 2 player mode?

Yeah, it's like watching a theatrical trailer of a great movie and expecting not to see the best parts.

What you said was the point I was trying to get across. I think Amar done a great job.

Alright, don't know if it's been answered so far, but the flappy paddle shifter and the led display does work on the G27 (tested by myself on a retail copy). I've tried activating the clutch, but it doesn't seem to work... I'll try to investigate if I did something wrong, but it could be true after all that the clutch is disabled... by the way, epic game! :D

Thank you Amar, update #6 was great and the confidence is building that this game will last 4 years in my mind and not the 3 I was thinking.... Some people still love GT4 and that is a good thing, its about the lasting ability. I would still play GT1,2,3 and up but the I played 3 to death (almost) and I can't really stand the graphics of the first two, but appreciate how they have gotten us to this point. I did beat GT2 but joined the party too late to get really into the first one.

My last question before I have it will be if you have multiple games coming in order to get all the bonus cars.... will you have to have 3 individual game saves on the HDD (I do have room) or will there be a safe way in your mind to agglomerate them all together. If the case is to be careful, then I must choose my bonus cars appropriately then go on one game from there. Do you think using two seperate PS3's is a better idea... just wondering you thoughts? Thanks as always Amar...

I don't think it's possible to have separate saves, then again why should you? Can anyone prove you don't have 3 or 5 copies of the game? You have nothing to worry about.
