That Cobra will be the car to beat, I'm nearly 20sec slower in my Camaro Z28 RM....might have to switch to the Cobra!

Why dint you switch to the Alfa so we can team up. :)

How fast is it? :dopey:

Slower than the Cobra. :(
Not fast, but it's the only car I've ever raced with all aids off, no HUD, no map, in cockpit view.
Just wish we had dynamic weather/time on this track. :(

In other words, we probably wouldn't win, but we'd enjoy it. 👍

Hmmm, I want to use the Cobra since I've got one and its fast but I've also got a TZ2.....
Problem is I've got this competitive streak that well....couldnt handle losing...lol

The Cobra is a hell of a beast... but it chews its tyres. ANother beauty of Le Mans... different cars, different speeds, different chances depending on how you drive.

I was wondering that.

Different cars will go through tires at different rates I assume, because they weigh more or less, but what about fuel? Do different cars have different fuel capacities and rates of use (that would be amazing if they did) or is it standard for every car and fuel consumption is determined more by the driving style?

Im not in it to win , i just want to take the Shelby out for a run , and this is the perfect race to do that.

Will try to save tyres and see how i get on.

A full grid, nice! I've yet to have a 16 player online race in this game, this is assuming everyone will turn up though and it seems there might be issues for some people.

I haven't been able to practice much, but generally my pace fluctuates greatly depending on the conditions of the race so I don't really go by practice times too much.

Are we allowed to make changes to the suspension?
Sorry, this has probably been asked already, my search skills suck. :)

^Race cars (in C1) come stock with adjustable suspensions so you are allowed to tune it to your liking. All eligible cars in C2 are stock roadgoing vehicles and they do not come with adjustable suspensions. The rules state stock vehicles only so you cannot change anything. ;)

I believe the Alfa comes with an adjustable suspension...
Doesn't really matter, I love how it handles stock anyways. :)

Just for kicks I took it out on the 'Ring the other night, tossed a turbo on it, and softened up the suspension all the way.
I rolled it on the first turn lol.

I had a bit of run round in the Miura last night on RH tires and managed a 4:09.774. I only did 3 laps and did that on my 2nd. I think I could have got a quicker time on the 3rd but had went into the sand pit at Indianapolis. Not too shabby for me tho! :)

Wow I'm doing nothing but adding confusion. I really need to re-read my posts before posting them! I meant to say the Alfa was in C2, not C1. My apologies!

UGH!

I'm pretty sure you can adjust all the tuning settings the car comes with stock.

That was my understanding as well.

You can't add anything to a car, besides Racing Hard tires, but if a car already has adjustable suspensions, transmission, etc... you can adjust those as much as you want.

Hi, I am going to race in the Ferrrari, I have been doing some tests.

What can I change in this car?

Aero, Suspension, Brakes, Transmition?

DiegoC1980

You change all that is available in the setting menu, so all of them. But you can't buy any extra parts...

Just thought of something!
Can I use a RUF?
That would be a good addition to this field, right?
BTR or Yellowbird, I <3 them both. :)
I'm a Porsche fanatic lol.

Oh wait, dammit.
They're both later than '69. :(
Do you think we can make an exception to this rule? :dopey:

I mean, Porsche has 17 overall victories at Le Mans, the most of all the manufacturers.
Surely they should be represented.

Sorry about this but I may not be able to race in this because my parents have taken away my games until my exams are over. My last exam is on june 17th so if it is after that then count me in but if you were planning to race in early june then you'll have to re-open for entries. I was really looking forward to this but GCSE's are unfortunately more important at the moment.

C2: For Unmodified Road And Racing Cars from 425 to 525pp up to 1969

(Generally ranging from Ginetta G4, Alfa Romeo Giula Zagato up to Lamborghini Miura and Shelby Cobra)

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RM is allowed but only in original form (Equip RM but DO NOT make any other tuning changes afterwards)

No Tuners are allowed, so the Buick Special, Art Morrison Corvette ’60 and similar cars are ineligible.

The Fully Customisable Transmission is allowed.

Have I read this right, customisable transimission is allowed? Or is this only on the cars that have a customisable gearbox as standard? I assume the latter.

Cheers,

Ant

You can buy a fully customisable gear box.
