Sorry to go a bit off topic but golfers here. The accursed Ponies have taken over top gear!

Good to hear from you again but honestly, keep up to date. This was posted here already by me yesterday :) but nice to have even more ponies in the thread

Golfer you would be proud i am listening too ellie goulding :D

I am very proud yes :D
Which song? Starry Eyed? Guns and Horses? Home? Lights? All of her songs?

In fact, they didn't. But my photo skills have made the OP |20% COOLER|

Nice video. Would you be able to do race edits like this for every race? Oh but one note, the music you choose is good awful. Try this song:

Oh and I will take a few more ambitious shots tomorrow. Hmmmm if I knew the street circuit, I would be able to get brilliant shots....

Alright. I can do that for the next video. I'll probably end up doing every Saturday race but I'm not sure about every Wednesday race.

Golfer stary eyed and your song :) nervous about tommorow tbh :s

i will be tomorrow when i get to school but right now? If I focus on what I am playing then I am fine.

Oh and Drum, if we race at SSR5, I recomend Starry Eyed as the backing track :)

BK, if I get 3 or more A*s in my GCSE results 2moz, I want you to choose SSR5 as the city course :) although 3 is unlikely. I'll come home 2moz and take some photos but the question is..... what of?

I have some night photos of when I got my 908 and did my first photo shoot which is at Le Mans. I'll upload them tomorrow as well. Actually, I'll just upload all my LMP track/car related GT5 shots

Fuji will be exciting on Saturday, looking forward :)
EDIT: post 1000!!!!

Alright. I think I'm gonna start making videos for the weeknight and weekend series. My priorities will be on the weekend ones, though.

1. How long should each video be? 5 mins? More? Less? Length of the song I use?
2. Should I use music on every one?
Thankyou

use music on each one. ANd I think that you should make the race highlights, see how long it is, then choose a song that is a similar length and just expand or shrink the highlights.

http://www.formula1.com/video/race_edits/

use these race edits as a good idea of how to make them. You can show abit of action at the start, then have the music get upbeat as the cras go green, then when the song has the rift type thing in the middle when it (usually) goes quieter you could show a pit stop battle. AAnother example is the following trailer since it is just like an official F1 race edit but with F1 2011:

If the first link doesn't work, then just sign up to the website. Its free and you get access to a selected onboard lap (one per race weekend) of each circuit. Not always done in the top teams as well so you experience all the cars. You also get the wallpapers :)

Try searching the song at the end of that video "Qemists - Tropicana" and the results are:
1. a list of youtube comments from the "Go Compete" trailer with one comment by me
2. GTP LMP Season 3 page 42 about me asking about the song
3. The game trailer because I commented on that on youtube as well

WHO REMEMBERS THIS?
I think, no matter how Seca goes, the favorites to win the finale are like this:
1. Mav
2. Jake, Jam, MU, Senna, Tissimo, BK, Johny, Blaze, Razor
3. Hmm maybe me?
4. Mike, Mike, Golfer, CJR, Peter

@bombe32, I have made a few crucial corrections to this list

Edited finale winner favourites
1. Mav
2. Jake, Jam, MU, Senna, Tissimo, BK, Johny, Blaze, Razor
3. Hmm maybe me?
4. Mike, Mike, CJR, Peter
5. A hedgehog
6. Golfer

I saw on CM forums lol. I got 1 A* and golfer got 2 A*'s so that makes 3. We have to go to SSR5 now surely :sly:

Use Laguna Seca / an oval as the city track... SSR5 and Tokyo will both 🤬🤬

Why do I feel that the video-making have gotten a little out-of-hand? How about making a GTP Le Mans video gallery in the GT5 video section... then we would save loading time in this thread :)
Unfortunately you can't post videos in the group.

NOTE

Get to know the rules..

When one driver is ahead HE chooses his racing line. The driver behind him SHOULD ALWAYS stay out of that line (often by giving a little space) or he will cause the accident. It's not the other way around... *cough* Jamman *cough*. That's even used in F1 too...

I was already up the inside of you though, so I had the racing position. It was up to you not to turn in to me, but you did and started blaming me. I can't exactly vanish :yuck:

It's exactly like this. You were Hamilton and took "your" line and I was Webber. You just turned in to me when I was on the inside and had nowhere to go. So I'm sorry bombe but that was your fault and I wouldn't have done anything differently ;)

I would agree if we had a GT class as well but we don't so I don't agree.

IRL, the GT cars are to remain on the racing line so the faster cars know exactly where they will be and when giving them easier lapping as they know where there will be a space. However we don't have a GT class. We dont even have an LMP2 class so for that reason, the car being lapped in this series must move off the racing line completely and slow down and not defend. However I understand that if you are caught by the leaders in the middle of the last turn chicane at Nurb or Porsche curves at Le Mans or corkscrew at Laguna, it will be difficult to move offline since you will just block the leaders. For this reason, go full speed throught the corners and allow the leaders through AFTER the corner so as to not impeed the lapped cars race significantly and allow the leader through quickly.

When there is a group of lapped cars being lapped by a group of leaders fighting then it becomes harder but the lapped cars must give way in a sensible place so as to avoid a 2011 Monaco GP red flag.

If we race at SSR5, the back markers must head this rule alot since it is extremelly hard to pass

Oh scratch, you were talking about two battling cars. Yeah bombe you are right however I feel that the rule should be:
The person who is ahead as the drivers enter the corner has his choice of racing line and must make sure he does not make dangerous and sudden movements across the track
Also
Once you have chosen your racing line, you must stick to it and not switch to a tighter/wider line

in the two lap Fuji race after Indy, Jamman was behind a group of cars on lap 1, turn 2 and has he braked moved from the far right of the track to the far left but I was moving up the far left because Jamman was on the right. Jamman veered into me and complained that I was trying a stupid overtake even though he moved suddenly across the tracck.

In the video of Hamilton and Webber, you can clearly see that Lewis misjudged the speed he had over Webber and thought he could use a tighter line. Of course Webber was in the way and they came together so if you overtake a car and are then on the outside into the corner and know they are close, stay on the outside. If you choose the inside, the same applies.

So you would want me to drive straight into the wall instead of following the track, I see...

You do know I can't see you... but you can see me - and it's always the driver behind that can avoid the accident by slowing down - when you are trying TOO optimistic overtakes you can't expect one to let you past. You do know that is says always try clean overtakes, right?

Golfer, why are you changing the subject again... :yuck:
