My Dad on the otherhand imported a 96' Toyota Corona Exiv 2.0 TR-X a few years ago, apparently the only one in Queensland!. You can see and drive this car in GT2, its basically a 4 door sports saloon based on the Toyota Celica. The information article in the game is exactly right, a very capable car.

When you put the racing modification on it turns into a touring car both built in japan for racing, and also replicated in New South Wales for local tarmac rallies to great success. When i found out all this in magazine article from 2 years ago i was very impressed.

He also imported a brand new Galant 1600... in the 70's, another rarity in the day. Its going to spin him out when he finds out that he can drive his first car in GT4.

I have a black 87 Z52 Corvette Coupe and a blue/white 67 Innocenti Mini Cooper. I have had the Vette since 1997 and just bought the Mini in Aug. 2004. The way the gas prices have been going up here in Southern California, I figured it was time to sell the Vette and looked around for a nice Mini. I wish I could keep them both, but the Vette is currently for sale and the Mini is having a nice 1275 A+ motor built right now. Can't wait to get it running again. Great fun on our local coastal mountain roads in the Santa Barbara area.

1984 Toyota Celica Supra GTS
5M-GE (2.8L DOHC EFI inline 6, 8.8:1 compression)
2P3 ('84 only colour scheme; light blue on top, navy blue below trim)
YS84 (Light blue interior. Think of any other Toyota from the 80s, it's that sort of colour scheme)
Options: Digital dash, automatic (bleh), sunroof. (It's a Supra, so power everything, AC, etc. are standard features. The only option it doesn't have is leather, which I'm not too fond of anyway)
Being the 80s Toyota that it is, it's pretty rusty and has a lot of minor problems. Just rolled over to 200,000 km a week ago.
No money= no mods. The muffler rusted off though, so it sounds wicked cool :P

To answer the question in the first post (ancient history), this car was almost in GT2 (a Celica XX, the JDM equivalent), but that was an '82-'83 (recognizable by the front turn signals and always-black hatch)

Those are very neat cars. I thought only the Celica Supra L had the digital gauges & automatic transmission. I might be wrong, because I heard that a very long time ago.

Toyotas are very reliable, so expect it to roll past 186,000 miles.

1996 Nissan Skyline GTS25t
RB25DET Turbocharged 2.5L Inline Six

Mods:
3" Dump pipe & Hi-flow Cat
3.5" Cat-back straight through
A'pexi Power FC & Hand Controller
A'pexi Turbo Timer
Blitz DSBC Electronic Boost Controller (6psi/12psi)
HKS Type S Intercooler 600x300x65
Trust AirNX Pod filter in sealed box with cold air feed
DTM 078 18"x9" and 18"x10" in Shadow-chrome
Falken ST115 255/35R18 and 265/35R18
Cusco height adjustable coilovers

Has a rough tune with the new ECU on low boost at the moment as it is summer here, so being pretty conservative, plenty of fuel in the top end. Once winter comes back around and the overnight temperature drops below zero again we can tune it on higher boost and by then should have an upgraded in tank fuel pump and larger injectors, expecting around 210rwkw once this is done. Then upgrading to a HKS GT2835ProS which should be good for 260-280rwkw on standard internals and 98RON pump fuel.

That's partially true. The digital dash was only availible on L types in the USA. In Canada it was availible on both the GT (=L type) and GTS (=P type)*. Automatics were optional on both types on both sides of the border.
My car is a little strange, but not for any reasons normal people would be interested in. :P

*The 'P type' and 'L type' designations have been essentially made up by the community. The Canadian GT and GTS designations are more clearly reffered to in sales brochures

Emohawk: Thanks for the drooling smily ;)

Also, just wondering if you have pictures of your car...here in Australia we get the Supra, and the Celica, never have i heard of a Celica Supra... must just be the alternate names cars get in different countries.

The first Supras were called Celica Supras, because they are essentially hotted up Celicas.

Nice car ECR33 👍 you (and I)are one of the only people that call the R33 turbo a GTS25t which is its proper name, everyone else calls it a GTSt which is the R32's version.

Yay Skyline trivia. I also notice that that non-GTR R33s don't have the iron nose (or whatever they call that) that the R32s did. I was wondering about that, I hadn't come across any pictures of non-GTR R33s before.

This is a 2nd gen (MkII) Celica Supra, it's almost identical to my car* http://www.malibyte.net/Supra/84supra.html
Distinguishable from the equivalent Celica (MkIII) by the different front end, I6, and wing on the hatch. Earlier MkIII Celicas also had live axle rear ends and a lack of fender flares, but those were availible on Celica GTSs later in the run.
more detailed info on the first 2 generations here http://www.celicasupra.com/history.htm

*only mine is rather beat up and rusty *cough*andhassomeminorcrashdamage*cough*

Woah! The one you said that was almost identical to your own, that's some tough old school car there! Love the flared guards, makes it look phat. Cheers for the info on Celicas/Supras, i feel enlightened :)

Iron Nose? lol

Yeah, the R32 was GTSt, R33 GTS25t, R34 GT-T

Yeah they dropped the iron nose after R32 (I am glad).

If you didnt notice my car is in my sig ;)

oh and feel free to come to the Nissan Performance zone to chat about Nissans (link also in my sig)

Yeah, noticed your link there.
Nice looking car, not a huge fan of the wing, but the rest of the kit is shmick. Still looking at getting intercooler?

Yep, but other things came up at the time (like I went overseas) so it was held off, I will be looking for a Large front mount soon though.

I left the wing because it is a genuine Tommy Kaira as is the front, if another wing comes along I might change it but Im more interested in performance at the moment.

ECR33
Yeah, understand man ;) I haven't spent a cent on the outside of mine, well, i did wash it once...lol

I notice you're on SAU as well?

Yep whats your Username on SAU? ECR33?

18 years old and more cars than my dads had all his life! The first on the list is the only one insured right now because of the retarded amount of money its costs at this age to have cars on the road.

Most of them I got for free from a wreckyard near my place and fixed them. Amazing how many people trash cars just because they need new rotors.
