Cheers Maz and Brock! I've got maximum 1tenth left in the Tuned, 0.5tenths left in Normal...will be hard to extract that, I think.

There are still a few guys on the UK board, who haven't done competative times in both cars yet...I admire their confidence to wait around until later while everyone else is napping!

I predict there's a chance my current time still won't make the UK top 20. It's bound to speed up again once it gets closer to the deadline...Will be fascinating!
 
Yeah its mad isn't it, only took a tenth off my overall this weekend and slipped down 6 places. The red car is still my nemesis, I'm lapping consistently at 1:48.3xx but can't get that flying lap out and I can feel there is still a good 2/3 tenths to come off my tuned time. Fairly confident I can bust into the 3:23's, but I'll have to knuckle down. Hopefully at least a dozen of the guys above us are under 17yrs old ;)

Made some improvement with the Tuned now down to 1'36.744 there is defently 0.1sec left, more is going to be really hard. Next up is the Road car now at 1'49.258 and really need to get it under 1'49.
I will be moving my PS3 to my other place so I can play during the week and not only weekends and there is HD TV some maybe that will help a little :P.
 
I'll see if I can change that in a few hours 👍 :lol:

I haven't played in 11 days so I may be rusty as a nail though :scared: :lol:

Tuned = 1:37.074
Normal = 1:49.665
Both = 3:26.739 (84th US)

I haven't played for a few days and I saw my US ranking had drop to 100 :scared: so I tried to pick up my "normal car" time and missed breaking into the 48's by .004 :yuck::grumpy::lol: but I am pleased with picking up over 6 tenths 👍

Tuned = 1:37.074 (79 - US)
Normal = 1:49.004 (55 - US)
Both = 3:26.078 (63 - US)

Some really good times being posted - you're all making it really difficult!

My main problem is that a lot of the time I can't connect to the server to upload my times. Many good laps have been lost but despite the added frustration I can't keep away.

I've had a couple of 35.6xx in the tuned which I lost but I'm fairly happy with the 35.753 I managed to register. I know from lost laps I can take a couple of tenths of my normal time which isn't really up to scratch at the moment and I would be trying right now if I could connect! :nervous: :ouch:

There's still a long way to go and I notice a lot of really quick guys in the UK from last year are still hanging around outside the top 20. It wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of action over the next couple of weeks. I remember last year going from 6th to 16th and back to 8th in the last two evenings. I think the speculation about cut off times and anyone being safe is very premature.

Having said that, I'm glad to see so many of my racing friends from here are in with a shout. Should I manage to scrape through, I'd love to be able to meet some of you in the final.

I really feel for you John, I can;t match those times and it drives me mad. The only thing that would wind me up even more is if I hit my dream laptime of 35 or 47, and it didn't upload.

I've managed to make some nice progress (For me) over the weekend.

Normal - 1:48.665
Tuned - 1:36.625

Total - 3:25.290

Now tied for 22nd in the US (Although I just show 23rd on the PD board :odd:).

Just 0.3 from my goal, hoping to find it this week. :)

Still some fantastic times being posted by our members. 👍

Just improved on my tuned.. cut over a tenth off it - 1'36.319 ..I'm happy in the knowledge that I can get that down to at least a .1xx soon because i screwed up the end of my lap.

Overall now 3'24.734 which is +0.037 behind Lucas.. But I'm back first in the country so I'm happy enough with that :)

I improved my time with normal car to 1'47.770

Adding the time with the tuned car, I have a nice 3'23.300 in the overall :)
 
For the first time i feel slightly under pressure now, after taking around a week off i was 13th! (now 12th after taking off 0.042 in the normal car). Can probably see a 3'23.6xx max which will probably struggle to be top 8 by the end. Suprising how much 10+ drivers have taken big leaps in a week or so.

you have an hard task i think... i left it 6 days... and i was struggling this weekend.. only today late night i made a better time and i can see now a 47.5 on the normal car but i need more time together to reach the rhythm :crazy: wish you better luck though 👍

hi all.just signed up to GTP today,so i thought i'd let you know how average i appear to be...race 1'36.4 + normal 1'48.6 = 3'25.123
good for 6th in new zealand currently
much respect to all of you in the 1'35.xxx and the 1'47.xxx
hopefully i can join you all in that time bracket soon

finally chipped half a second off my stock time, down to 1.49.396 now, putting me at 3.26.620 and 22nd in NZ. would it be awkward if I made it top 20 despite using a pad? did that happen to anyone last time around?

Just curious as to weather you would be allowed to compete in the national finals If you make top 20, I remember you saying you're turning 18 soon? Cheers mate
 
yesterday I did quiet well with the "red beast" and was for about 10 rounds max. 1 second behind my best...and I found 3 points where I could win a little bit time...
then I did 4 rounds in a row (!) with max 1/10 behin my best...in the best try I was already half second in front...
but I lost it...(sad)...
but I am sure that I will beat my best time one fine day...

Depends how strict they are.... by the time the national finals is arranged i could be 18 anyway or just a few days off.
