Finding more time every sector with the normal car just havent strung it together yet, slight improvement of 0.015 but i lost 0.1+ in 3 sectors so hopefully a 1'47.7xx is on the cards.

Takeuchi01 is incredible. I knew he was good, but he's performing beyond expectations.

My copy of GT5 Prologue is japanese, on weekends i used to race him, Trick-R, Taruru1216, Clockwork2000, tizon-tireg, P-517 and a few others regularly...

Crazy races 👍

haven't been able to improve my times for a few days, but today something clicked and I made a breakthrough on the Tuned. Figured out better lines for 3rd and last turn helped a ton, but I stuffed the turn after the middle straight, which probbaly cost me 0.25 of second

oh well I still jumped some places back after sliding down a ton the last few days!

Sweet! Improved my Tuned time, and left a bit of time on the table as well, but I figured that was enough for today.Thought I had maxed out all my improvements... rally flicking the car into the turns helps a lot, even if it's not exactly realistic for a slicked car...

Now to work on my Normal Z time and get it under 1:50. Although flicking the car doesn't work too well here!

Getting within 2 seconds of the best is not bad for me 👍

Scandinavia #13, failing_finn, tuned 1'36.131, normal 1'48.345, total 3'24.476

World #297, difference between leader and me, +0.743, +0.870, +1.613
(much better than Luca Badoer did against Kimi )

edit: #11, failing_finn, 1'36.018, 1'48.345, 3'24.363

Sick, we have a second guy in the 3'22 now:D

Hmmm.... i wonder if Lars has his effort button pressed this year and has surgically removed the lazy training button?

He won't want to make the same mistake twice. He's had a full year to think about it.

But he has a racing license, so according to the terms and conditions of GT Academy he can't take part in it at Silverstone

Had a nice run without much warming up either..

:D

Not so sure about that - it's kind of unofficial as it's made with the JP demo.. The board is full of different Nationalities.. :irked:

But it shouldnt make any difference as the demos surely must be the same 👍

and thanks TA & cico..

Ahhhh ok i wasn't aware that he had gained his international licence.

Improved normal car 1'49.328 160th now from 202nd. Pleased with that.
No change on my tuned 36.9xx time. 157th overall...I'm maxed out now I think, but happy. Just hope I stay in top 250 by 24th, which is my personal goal...;-))...

Cracked 1:50 on the Normal Z and about time! It wasn't a good lap either. I have plenty in me on both cars, so I just might crack the top 100!
At least I beat Kaz on the Tuned Z, and not far off the normal one :)

What's the feeling on those who have already been to Silverstone here ? I mean surely having done it all once is a major advantage knowing the cars etc and against the spirit of the competition ?? I mean as an example Oldbeanee, he's a director of a kart track, already been to Silverstone therefore has previous experience of the cars and has even probably done his brothers laps (Mr__Arrogance) so that Mum and Dad can come along to London.
All I hope is that there's not some new guy that makes it to Silverstone who would be an awesome teammate to Lucas knocked out of the competition by someone with so much experience.

*Miss interpreteded it then
Experience would help alot but unfortunatly its part of the competition, didnt the likes of Dan get though last year? daniel from spain is mega fast and i guess would have a extra advantage this year but as it turned out lucas was faster than him in real life-slower in the game, compared to daniel.

My brother recons with more real life experince e.g go karting etc. would make me quicker on here. He pretty fast in real life but bad on the ps3 (doesnt really play). I have no experince racing whatsover in real life(never had the chance), would love to though, hopefully i will be aloud to enter this years national finals-then hopefully silverstone as i think it could be a good experience (well for anyone actually).

You're brother has experience with karts and other RL racing and you don't? They must lock you in the closet when they go out :dopey:

Same thing with me. My cousin who I have hung around with since we were both 3 has been racing for going on 9 years and I have never been in the drivers seat. Then again, I was the dumb one who decided to drive down to circle K to get a pack of smokes after I had drank half a bottle of vodka on new years with cops everywhere, so I don't deserve that chance.
