It must be a bug. I use a G25 and the TCS for the normal 370Z is locked at 7 in game even though the replay says it's off. It certainly doesn't feel like the TCS is on a 7 when I'm driving though....

Same thing over here, with the wheel TCS for stock 370z is off, which is a good thing, because I try to play the game with the pad and car behaves weird when loss of power because of TCS.

Normal - 1'52.438 (88th overall)

Tuned - 1'38.462 (86th Overall)

Combined - 3'31.900 (56th Overall)

Rather amazed that I'm in the top 100 in all three. I'm usually ranked #1000th or something but this is a huge surprise. Of course, this is all as I post this so it might not last long.

So far my fastest with a pad in the stock car is 1'56.069, and that's on my 5th ever lap. I'll get much better with time though, I'm sure.

Had a 1 hour play. Am using the Dual shock, shoulder buttons to accelerate and D-pad to steer. Best So far is a 1:41 with the tuned car. Is pretty tough with the pad but I am sure once I invest allot of time will be able to get it down to 1:39 and to go from there will be pretty hard I can imagine.

I do have a cheapo steering wheel, is it worth me pluggin in as opposed to the pad?

Any tips from you Pad users?

I have got 1'50.486 in the normal car, 1'37.976 in the tuned which makes a total of 3'28.462 seconds and putting me 32nd in GB since I last looked

I think that would be a DQ mate, you dont need to risk doing that..... you'd get through the next stage easyily anyway.

Does your lap time not turn red in this demo like they do in GT5P when a penalty occurs? What is he supposed to do if it automatically uploads his times, and then he can't beat them?

So far I have a
1:38.752 -Tuned
1:51.741 -Stock
3:30.493 Overall

I know there's a lot more time I can get out of both of them still learning the ins and outs of the track though.

Ok, then his laps are clean 👍

The problem isn't that he's hitting something and getting away with it. He's cutting one corner immensely, putting the whole car past the inside curb. I don't know how they'll judge that since there weren't really any corners to cut in such a way on Eiger Nordwand last year, so there's no precedent for it... but I'm definitely going to play it safe and keep the majority of the car within the rumble strips.

Have you got any tips for me using the contoller?

Be smoooooth. :D

I use the triggers for gas/brake, which helps IMO. Full throttle is not an option until you hit a straightaway. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to say. Just keep doing laps until you get the hang of it. Both of my fast laps came around laps 12-14 of a long session.

but I'm definitely going to play it safe and keep the majority of the car within the rumble strips.

Same here. As long as two of the four wheels are actually on the track surface, it's clean.

Playing with the pad is a challenge. The tuned is very crisp and the pad is not accurate enough. The stock needs finesse and the pad is almost on/off.

Although the steering with the arrows is much better than GT5Prologue, more progressive.

Still, stuck with TCS on 7 with pad is not good. But if you get used to it (I don't want to) it can be a valuable helper as it even works as Stability control on braking/downshifting/turning in.

Woot! I'm up to 51 on the Normal car charts. Competition must be getting very close if by my improvement of a secondI go from 96th to 51st.

I cant... always raced with the buttons...

So did I when I had my PS2. I always used the triggers on my old Xbox. Took me a couple days to get used to it, but now it's just second nature to me. Plus your thumb doesn't get tired. :D

I know what is being discussed. His time stays white, it doesnt turn red.

In the Logitech Challege held in the US a few months back, any time that stayed white was good/clean, no matter how dirty it really was. Sort of like EVERY time trial in GT.

The lap timer is objective.
