Manual trans, Sixaxis controller. And yes, I saved the replay.

Edit: Current numbers...

Tuned - 1:37.452
Stock - 1:49.737

Overall - 3:27.189 (ranked 2nd)

GTP_drama-kyd is kicking butt so far..

After a couple laps the the controller I'm at 1:41:015 with the tuned car (haven't tried the standard one yet).

Need to put in some serious work in the second sector, though. I'm losing all my time in there.

Nice to see all those GTP names up top there!

Current numbers...

Tuned - 1:37.452
Stock - 1:49.737

Overall - 3:27.189 (ranked 2nd)

Tuned - 1:37.251 (4th)
Stock - Same as above

Overall - 3:26.988 (ranked 4th)

Obviously I have no chance of winning with a controller, but if I could place in the top 5 of controller users in the country I would be happy with that. :)

Normal: 1'51.432 (33rd)

Tuned: 1'38.886 (37th)

Overall: 3'30.418 (21st)

Well, looks like a top 50 run so far on the American charts. I'm willing to bet I've pretty much fallen on the Japan side, but I'm getting back up :sly:

Gotta say great demo and will likely be great game but god Indy GP is an awful track
anyway...
So far
1:38.842 -Tuned
1:51.872 -Stock
3:30.714 Overall 192nd at last check

p.s I feel dirty for improving my times by over a second using Dualshock 3 within 2 laps, after spending over 4 hours on G25

Surely it should be faster with a wheel than a pad :/

/Feels good i'm ahead of a UK user who has a G25 :P

Havn't got time today, i will be spending at least a few hours on Saturday improving that stock time. The traction control really slows me down on the long left hander (turn 5 i think... or 6, not sure)

Tuned - 1:40:050

With a DS3.
Haven't played Prologue in a while so this isn't bad for an hour of trying.
I'll be happy to break into the top 50.

Well if you want to run the chances of geting a DQ..... depends if there going to be strict in this.

Ive improved to a 3'26.2xx overall time, reasonably happy more left (6th in GB-top 50 Overall just), although the spainish seen to be veryyyyy strong- like top 12 drivers are in the 3'25s.

There is literally no chance of getting DQ'd. Not even 1 percent, which is why I decided it was safe to push all boundary limits to gain any possible advantage.

I used simulation steering, with full feedback 👍

Couple of hours got me a 1.51.851 & 1.39.257 = 3.31.108. Good enough for 17th in Canada at last count.

Guess I can count on being 5 - 6 secs behind the fastest combined times. :ouch:

ahhhhh r1600 Turbo, we meet again.....lol

how have you been going??? are you from Australia?? i am.

so far im 16th, 1.37.5 and a 1.49.9

i have quite alot of room of improvement, i think, with the tuned compared to others......lets hope we can make the finals with controllers!!! hahaha

overall I am on a 3.27.4, 0.5 of a second will get me in the top 10

Mad94d... I'm going to use your ghost to cheat. I'm currently at 1'51.296, in a lonely 61st place (Road car).
I'm using a hand controller, so I have some excuse. :)

Nope, from USA. Hoping to be the fastest controller player in the contest here, but would be happy with a top 5 finish. No way I'm gonna win this thing though.

There's a 1.36.xxx by a GTP_ on the Oz PSN tuned rankings....phew.

I'm lapping consistent 1.40.xxx at the moment after about 2-3hrs. I know I can do better though.

I'm done for the night 👍

Currently P1 overall in the US with a 3'24.999 overall (5th overall in the TT competing countries) :)

Stock Z: 1'48.42x
Tuned Z: 1'36.5xx

I'm still not very comfortable with getting the Tuned Z to enter corners smoothly and with good consistency though, while trailing off the brake. The thing seems to have a problem with a strange dose of trail brake oversteer, even when you haven't fully released brake pressure :grumpy: Hopefully over the next few days I can understand more about the car and get it to work better for me, so I can get close to a 36 flat, or better. I still see a few tenths left with the stock Z, but won't focus on that until I've gotten the tuned car sorted, as driving the stock Z comes much more natural to me. Good luck everyone 👍

Just made a big leap in my book, 21st overall or something like that to 13th. :dopey:

Tuned: 1'38.299
Normal: 1'50.172
Total: 3'28.471

Timeattack, Drama-kid, R1600Turbo, you guys are great. 👍 As for me I really never thought I would be doing this good, and i'll slowly keep getting better. :)

Just curious, how is everyone doing their laps? When you make a mistakes (spinning out mainly) are you restarting or do you continue through the lap?

well, r1600 Turbo, I'm a good .5 of a second off you and will try to make that up in the coming days!!! there's a guy on the Australian board who got a 1.49.0 with a controller!!! with the road car of course.

does anyone know how the finals are done??? is it a 1 vs 1 race with passing, or is a time trial race as ghosts or a hot lap challenge????

I added an entry to the WRS leaderboard (Luxy) for the worldwide GT5 time trial laptimes. Please check this.

Only the sub 3'26 total times will be added to the board, completed (just for fun) by the times set by Kaz (PD boss) and Lucas (previous GT Academy winner). Also the fastest laptimes worldwide will be included.

Please help by referring to new fastest times on the Playstation boards - thanks 👍

Enjoy!

Phew.. Just improved my Tuned time to 1'37.281
Still 1st Overall here in Canada (So far ^_^ )
This controller sometimes just plain hard to handle the throttle

There's also a French guy by the name of Raikko68 who is pretty insane with the pad. Not sure if he is still using a controller, but he was probably one of, if not the most talented pad users in the world.

Good luck to you guys in achieving your best with the pad

does anyone else know that TC cannot be changed using the 370z road car with the ds3 controller......

do the wheel users have this same problem????
