Laps lead:
Smuffy: 2-22, 27-45 (40)
Owens: 24-26 (3)
Grinols: 23 (1)

Good race guys,
Neljack, heard you ask in the race, but I don't use a mic in these rooms, to prevent any extra server congestion; I let you go by, hoping you would take 2nd from Owens, or at the very least race each other and wear your tires down, while I conserved behind you. But I made far too many mistakes and lost you guys completely.

Ah ok, was pretty confused was expecting to have to floor it and just hope it would stick with you along side me and saw you back out :embarrassed:

I couldnt catch him tried 120% too but Owens just a cut above me today, good race none the less 👍

I can easily tell that this race is going to be a mess for all of us. Did some testing earlier and I could barely control the car going out of the turns. As RPH said, it might come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes.

I did some solid times, coulda won....need a new cable box thing. Show me smuffys times so i can see ho7
w id have done?

Wrong wrong wrong. We had a couple position swaps AFTER the line. I was 6th, D4VLY 7th, Dragonwhisky 8th.

Back online, dammit missed my second race...amazing I haven't missed more. I want to just shoot up my old cable modem. the service also apparently went down today. Not clear whether my internet would have been affected. I did a 1:26.3 in practice last night. I bet I could have gone quicker in qualifying. Was looking forward to some fun at Laguna.

RAB has a very secret strategy for the upcoming Daytona race. It will blow your mind how clever and amazing our pitstop strategy will be in the race. Yessir it will. Absolutely. Incredible. N stuff

Pit early on, and race to the end. We already know :sly:

You have to pit between 0 and 10 times for tyres AND fuel :dopey:

For this upcoming race, please try to refrain from bump drafting with me unless you/I really need to, as it will only cause a catastrophe. I can hardly control my steering on Daytona as it is, and the last thing I want is to cause yet another crash or to be crashed.

Ok. I'm sure everyone in here in NW can be trusted to keep it clean and orderly in the early laps. :sly:

I'll run this week for anybody if I can and if they need somebody to fill in. :)

There's like 5 spots.
As for the strategy, well let's just say....gas should make the 60 laps...and hard tires last forever at Daytona...and..well you get the picture

I thought that fuel only lasted around 50 laps on Daytona.

It's got to be faster to pit and push hard for 60 total laps than to ride around conserving for 60 laps.

Plus, if a small group of cars pit only 12 laps in to the race, the leaders can't use their draft to help save their fuel for the last 48 laps. It's a double-win. You can make it on fuel wide-open, and now the conserving leaders can't make it at all without backing up to you, eliminating the time advantage of the no-stop strategy.

👍

I don't think you will beat 3-4 people doing a 0 stopper because you really don't need to save that much.
