Sorry for not being able to race. My internet has been sporadic (I loose all internet including wireless on my phone) during certain random times of the day & night due to construction. A couple months ago we had freak flood. This happened during GT academy and the storms lasted for 2 days in a row.

Alright, so incidents:
Qualifying: conbon14 went into his tuning menu after putting a lap down on the track
-Ruling: Minor infraction; 1 point penalty
Lap 2: Neljack hit the wall in turn 2, and because of the stupid wall physics in GT5, is thrown into Carbonox when he tries to get off, causing a chain reaction which causes all three Roush drivers to lose the draft
-Ruling: Racing incident caused by silly physics. No penalties. Terrible luck for the Ford guys.
Lap 26: Conbon14 comes down across Neljack's nose and spins himself into the grass. Upon sliding back up to the track, a few cars hit him, but nobody (other than a laggy Chqr) loses the draft
Ruling: Mostly conbon's fault. He should have stayed in his lane and let Neljack passed. But he definitely got the worst of it, so that's penalty enough. No penalty
Lap 36: Smuffy hits the wall coming out of turn 4, and upon coming down, hits Conbon, taking them both out. Almost identical to the lap 2 wreck. Nobody's fault.
Ruling: No penalty
Lap 89: Akmuq comes down across Carbonox's nose down the backstretch, wiping them both out. Carbon definitely gets the worst of this one, unlike the lap 26 incident. Akmuq doesn't wait up for Carb, but Carb pit immediately after.
Ruling: 100% Akmuq's fault; minor infraction for "Causing an Avoidable Collision" - 1 point penalty
I haven't taken a close enough look at the Crazy/Carbon incident, or the Chqr lag wreck, but because I can't fast forward the replay, it's not very high priority. I saw both of them as they happened during the race, and although I could be wrong, I don't think they warrant any penalties.
EDIT: Okay, just saw the two other crashes: Crazy/Carbon was almost identical to Conbon/Neljack. crazy spun himself off of Carb's nose, didn't take anyone else out. Chqr's was a combination of lag and Smuffy not giving him mush room in the turn. Everyone knew Chqr was lagging. Both of them could have played it safer, imo. neljack was the innocent victim, but 50/50 between Smuffy and Chqr.

Carbon beat me to line. But you did miss one thing. I did lead one lap when I was with Trynor. He let me take one or two laps. I'm not lying. If I admit to giving up a position to Carbon, me leading a lap or two should be considered. It did happen.
Check between laps 37 to 57. I'm sure it happened around lap 40. When the strategies flipped the grid during pitstops.

Does anyone practice during the week? I don't know Motegi very well, and would like to be able to practice with draft. Clearly running in the max HP rooms, will be useless, but running laps alone can only get me so far.

You don't need practice. You don't even need to lift off. Just use one of the tunes in your mega database and you'll be good.

Alright, so a couple things I want to post here now:
The finale at Indy has been lengthened to 100 laps. This was something I meant to do after the real Nationwide race there, but I'm just getting to it now
I'll get to working on Power Rankings tonight as well as a race preview.
Now, here's something I want to ask you guys, I was unable to fastforward the Daytona replay from last race, because I was not in the race. It makes my job a lot more difficult when I can't fastforward to specific laps I need to look at, and whenever I clock in rewind, it just takes me back to the beginning.
So what I propose is that I run as a "pace car" as sorts, lead the field to green, but then stay on the track and run around by myself. I'll use a car that's slower and on sports tires so I can't interfere with the racing, and whenever a car gets close to me, I'll pull over so they can't get any draft from me. This way I'll be able to get as much of the replay forwardable as possible, making my job post-race much easier.
