My second overall ranking is very misleading. I have never missed a start, and compiled great-looking stats in the barely-occupied first season. Last place could be a top 5 or even a podium in some of those races. Honestly, if you really want to know where a driver stands, take a hard look at season two stats. I would say I'm barely a top 5 driver, overall.

Every league IRL starts somewhere and does use old odd ball stats in cumulative. I think from this foot forward we can eliminate non-Sprint Cup Driver's Championship drivers from rankings. Such as all the one-off's and NW drivers who may fill in. So really, S3 will be the stonemark with our stats. Then come S4 we can all look at them and be pleased to know what is mis-telling or not.

Also, S1 - no teams or assigned cars
S2 - teams introduced and ownership further introduced
S3 - Draft begins
S4 - Pick-up where we left off

I was actually wondering about 'Crazy's 8' this morning when I logged on. I enjoy looking that over in between races, Ken, nice work. 👍

Add: What do we do about the empty seat? I mean, how do we handle the rules as far as what Tom brought up earlier. If a Nationwide drivers gets pulled up to run full time Sprint, can he compete for drivers points and championship?

Niop missing Monza? Now I won't know how my pace there compares to his until next season. Monza suddenly looks like my best opportunity to get a win on the board early in the season, especially considering the pace I've shown when practicing there.

I'm hoping to get all 3 Ford cars into the chase, but I think Furi's limited schedule might end up preventing him from getting in.

I'm doing all races as much as I can. And road courses are my strength ;)

The question came up last year in NASCAR after Trevor Bayne won the Daytona 500, despite racing for points toward the Nationwide championship. The questions was posed, "What if Trevor Bayne now wants to race instead for the Sprint Cup championship?"

The answer NASCAR gave was that a driver can change their championship intentions at any time, but points can not be issued retroactively. You can only earn points toward the championship you are racing for on that day.

So, if a Nationwide driver declared their intention to race for the Sprint Cup title before participating in the Daytona 500, they would earn points for the Daytona 500, and NOT for the Nationwide Indy race held earlier in the evening. If you don't announce your intention to switch championships until after the Sprint Cup race, you would receive 0 points toward the Sprint Cup Championship, and would begin earning Sprint Cup points during the following week's race.

I will allow any driver the chance to change from Nationwide to Sprint Cup, earning Sprint Cup driver's points only after they have officially changed their designated championship.

That's how I thought it should be, just put more articulately (spelt right? Hmmmm)

*everyone starts checking dictionaries *

The actual car has an Indy set up, and I have gained access to his Daytona set up. Probably use my own tune for the road courses. :sly:

Ah right, I wasn't aware of this. Fair enough 👍

I'm not worried about Homeslice's setup...Furi already said its good on tires, so you know he won't be able to drive it. :sly:

A serious point, I was able to run fine with you guys at the shootout, and pit the same time. maybe 1 lap short of you guys. In the past I was about 5 or 6 short. That's progress.

Furi, does this mean with a setup with better tyre wear we can expect even more thee-wide? :sly:

And a spot of 4 maybe :sly:. Seriously the Ford boys do way better at set ups than you did :P, at least they cam last for more than 1 quali lap :P

You wouldn't know what to do with my setup. Other than use it as a screensaver.

My setup is proven:drool:

Just take a top driver to tame the beast :P

OK, so I've been threatening a while to give us all nicknames. They have them IRL, so why not us. We've race enough together to take a bit of banter, and have a name given to you.

Here's the list of drivers, and my initial thoughts. Obviously before I start, some of you I may not have one in mind yet, but I am sure others can fill in the blanks, or give alternative suggestions to mine.

Drop could then maybe 'drop' them into the OP or something to make them official.

Droptop2001gt The Host (Why not? He's the Host)
JoeOfTheFire Mr Precision (due to his attention to detail in race prep)

I've just seen you refer to yourself with that name before. If I can win back to back 500's (a giant if), I'm going to steal that name.
