Looking forward to the race tonight.. 👍

Put myself in a position to win, only to get wrecked on the straight and have the joy of watching the pack ahead of me get smaller and smaller.

Great job.

I don't even know what to think about the wreck on the straightaway at the end of lap37/beginning of 38. It looked as though I would've be fine letting out of the gas but as those who saw the wreck it wasn't fine. The replays shows most of the blame on me and if I would've hit the brake it probably would've caused a wreck that way as well with me and partyhat involved. It was a lose/lose situation. Best advise. DON'T PUSH WITH 4 CARS.

For some reason I was really nervous about tonight. Maybe it's because I knew I had a great chance of winning, and when AC didn't show, I felt even more confident.

RedPartyHat got into me in lap one and left me stranded at the back with Matty, some 7.0 seconds behind at our largest gap.

Dowhat lost the lead pack coming onto Lap 8 and his extra help got us back to the lead pack on Lap 13.

Got my first Lap lead going into 21

Pitted nicely on Lap 25 wondering if I should do another as I still had the tyre wear in the car.

Then got pushed around by Mule, Nater and Red (joining later) till a massive lag bump left me all alone.

Managed to convince Tom to come and help push me till he got persuaded by Drop and Joe to fall back and help them.

At that point I thought my race was over as the gap was closing, but my managed to stay consistent on great tyres to see me home.

Thanks to all those that helped me get my first non-Chase win, and the three points that come with it for the Chase.

Overall solid performance by SGR with a Pole, Most Laps Led, both cars leading a lap, and the win and a fourth.

Very happy with tonight in all. Seems like I have a setup that will only fair better in a better car than the #42. 👍

Congrats on the win, Knelly! I really thought you were screwed after that early incident, but well done working with matty and catching back up. Counting the All Star and NW races, that's 3 in a row for SGR. :sly:

Now I've got to go through and completely rethink my Indy setup, it was killing the front tyres way too fast. But thanks to Dowhat for working with me. I probably would've finished 8th or 9th if not for him.

I would like to nominate myself for Race Comeback of the Year. Think it deserves a nomination at least :D

And well said Niop. SGR are on the up and up again 👍

Disappointment for me. The 'team racing' thing just isn't working for me. The #88 needs a driver for next week.

Mudd, mate, teamwork isn't always the best way. I feel I proved that tonight. The only time Niop and I hooked up was for one bump together when I nearly span him round. Other than that I was having to work with all other teams and manufacturers (Hendrick / Redbull / Ford).

Just saying dude :)

Yeah I agree on that one, I only really worked with Joe immediately after the green flag to get us both a lap led. Apart from that we didn't really hook up, I tried to pull him up near the end but his tyres were past it and I had to floor it in order to keep up with Matty.

Don't get me wrong, DoWhat and I work great together, early race separation prevented us from hooking up today, unfortunately. It's the Team separation that just plain doesn't agree with me. Driving solo battling against packs of 3 and 4 for hours on end just doesn't work. The only time anyone will show any patience and not force you off your line is when it's a direct team mate. If your team mate can't be there for any reason, your only choice is to finish 'best of the solo driver'. Meh, I don't wanna keep complaining, I'll be back for HSR, I'd appreciate a fill-in for next week.

And I'd appreciate a seat for next week.

I'll drive as I've committed to Sprint Cup over Nationwide for Driver Points.

Tried helping you today but I think I just slowed you down more.

I'm guessing that I'm just one spot outside the chase now with Crazy missing the race, PartyHat finishing last and RFLX grabbing some points.

There's a thing or two I feel like saying about setups (Not Indy, just in general), but I'll save that for the end of the season, or perhaps just keep it between members of whatever team I end up with next season.

I'll use this post to remind drivers that no matter what happens this season, I will not be taking any team ownership in the draft for next season. I'll pass up any opportunity for ownership and will instead see which team owners are interested in having me.

I think it's safe to say all of the team owners will be interested in having you on their team. I reckon you'll get to choose what team owner you race for. 👍

I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do for next season. I wont tell any of you, though ;)

Still massively disappointing after having that win taken from me in the way it was. 7th is still better than I thought I would do going in to the race, but after the pitstops when I caught Knelly, it sunk in that I actually had a good shot at winning.

The draft will be tricky for me, I can see one team (like Red Bull this season) going all the way down the field and I'll probably have to take it because otherwise it might be borderline on me getting a ride or not.

Unless I can actually get some decent results and make the chase; that should get reasonable interest from a team owner or two.

I think you're pretty safely in the top 12 for next season, Tom. Especially with drivers like Crazy_Bassist, Furinkazen, and Carbonox not running in the Sprint Cup for their various reasons. I'm really looking forward to see which NW drivers will get a chance to move up, if their schedule allows it. I think GTP_Litchi definitely got some attention today from the current team owners with his strong run at Suzuka East.

That's a fair point, quite a few guys not running; I'd rather keep driving for somebody if I can help it, ownership isn't something I particularly want to do. Litchi, Trynor, Smuffy and Cowboys are all running pretty well in the Nationwide standings also, I expect at least a couple of the NW guys will get a Cup ride next season.

Litchi was also at the front swapping positions with me constantly at Darlington, before he got disconnected.

I wasn't able to get to get out of the pits quick enough at lap 25. My options was to have mudd drop back but he was being pushed so I dropped back for niop and pushed us back through the field. Good race. Sorry Tom and Joe for me door slamming you but nater was drafting fast came on my outside causing us to 3 wide I just wanted to get out of his way.

No worries. When I hit you and you started to drift, I think my secondary tap to your front end helped straighten you out.

We would have caught sooner or later but the extra pushing you gave got us right back on track. Good work dude.

Interested in the Standings, for Niops sake as I should safely be in P2 behind Drop.

Anytime soon?
