It'd probably only show under race conditions, so we'd find out in the qualifying race.

Could run another 1 lapper before since running solo hardly constitutes as practice?

Nice work whoever spun outta 4, ran a boring race at the back for an hour for shocking points. Could have been P6 at least.

Didn't mean to turn into Drop at the end there, I'd not taken a turn in the race without the draft before then and it turned faster than I expected. I only wanted to drop down a lane to be behind niop. I should've dropped back more at the end for a run too.

Also good to know my fuel predictions were correct and 10 laps is possible.

Happy with 5th after pitting for a splash on lap 8. Worked with Nater, Carb, Furi and Matty, and picked up 2 spots after the wreck.

Got to admit I actually feel no longer like a rookie in this now.

I'm still always scared when I'm close to you. :sly:

TBH I guess I still showed some signs of being a rookie, by pushing some people unnecessarily hard early on, but managed to compensate with a decent result. :)

Interesting race, it didn't play out at all like I thought it would. SGR came into this race not knowing what exactly we should do. We just stuck with the pack and were planning on pitting when others did. I really didn't think no-stopping this race would work, but the pace a lot slower than I anticipated.

It was a bitter-sweet outing for SGR, but I'm glad we came away with the win.

Good race, everybody. 👍

What happened between me and Knelly...I mean talk about a race of inches.
I got loose when we reached turn 3, so the car dipped under the line, I tried to bring it back in so I was on the low line. Knelly was just on top of me. Niop came and gave him a push. And maybe because I got into him or he came down low onto me, maybe both.. I caught his back end. I mean just watching the replay, it was an absolute love tap and Knelly just lost it. And Tom who was in the back of our pack got caught into it unfortunately. I'm just lucky that my car didn't get in a terrible position when I was wrecked and was able to get back up and finish the race in a position I might have finished anyway even if there wasn't a wreck.
The second pack never caught me even after I wrecked. I was alone as my teammate MULE was with the other pack. Had there been no wreck, both of Ford team, both of SGR, Droptop all vs me. I was just thinking of what on Earth am I going to do for 1st. So 4th isn't that bad for me, I coulda had 6th..

In another note: PD updated replay viewing, so much easier to skip through the race and finding the precise moment you want, instead of just skipping an entire lap. I don't know why PD mentions the little things they do for convenience in their maintenance updates. =\

You haven't been a rookie since season 1, when we all were. :scared:

Oh dear god thank you.

Yeah but I have always been the erratic tyre destroyer who ditches it and wrecks people. I hope I have got some respect in my outings this season... either way I'm determined to continue to get it.

Check the replay lap 8. Furi, your tyres are still wrecked in comparison to everyone else's

Me, Knelly, Niop, and Tom had the best fuel from watching the replay. Drop's fuel wasn't too good because he was involved with the "most laps lead". I had enough fuel to push Niop and Knelly on the last lap even though Drop asked me not to :P.
I talked to MULE about a pit on lap 3 and just charging from that point with another team (I still think that that strategy could catch a pack of fuel conservers) but that never happened. I was being very conservative with fuel, never really tried to get into that whole 'most laps lead' thing. Just a waste of well-needed gas. By lap 6/10, I looked at my gas and saw it was slightly over half. Then Drop started talking about a no-stopper. At that point I was like "OMG No-stop is totally possible".

That was my alternate strategy that I was considering, but I didn't know what we would have been up against. Had I known we were up against 0-stopping, I definitely would have tried that. Of course, as soon as we stop on lap 3, everyone would just start pushing, and wind up pitting around lap 7 or 8. It would have been very risky.

From watching the replay of the 32 lap race, the best lap from the 6 car bump draft was a 5.17.288 run by you. In the 10 lap race, the best lap from ANYONE (Matty) was a 5.44.097. That means by lap 4 the second pack would have already caught up... :scared:

The lead pack was fuel-saving the whole time. Had a group pitted on lap 3, they would have started pushing immediately, and pitted on lap 6-8. They wouldn't have gone nearly as slowly. Plus, with only five-to-seven cars out there, the 0-stop would have been off the table any way. Pushing would have been their only option when we pitted.

There was just barely over a car length of a gap between Carb and a slow Knelly, and I sliced right through it. Then used Toms draft to keep him behind me and steal 5th. Amazing.

What I don't yet understand is how in the 32-lap the best lap time from everyone was 5.17-5.19 and in the 10 lap race the best lap from everyone was around 5.42..
That's like 25 seconds? We didn't do anything different..right?
I mean..watch the replay yourself.. o.O

In a five car push I found it hard to hit 220mph but it still seamed like the cars ran a lot slower
