Looking good 👍

Is a 34:564 a good time round Motegi? For some reason I keep thinking you guys were doing 33.xxx when I was watching you. Anyway, I'll be working on tyre wear more than laptimes, so expect my pace to drop off.

I think I ran a 34.35x as my absolute best lap in practice. There were faster times run during the trial races though.

34.16 on a full tank with an Indy setup (only setup change was the transmission). Should be into 33.xxx's with less fuel.

If anyone puts up a Motegi room with our power and tyres, let me know. I need some practice in traffic to check stuff.

Does look good, but I would still change just 2 things:

-I still want to see Suzuka East replaced with a better track. I know some other people do, too.

-swap one of the Daytona chase races for whatever track replaces, or if you're persistant about keeping it, Suzuka east. This ensures that the chase is 'balanced' and everyone has a fair opportunity (including Joe and Niop).

Other than that, though, I'm okay with it, and it's something I can use to base the Nationwide calendar on.

Suzuka East is a track that NASCAR has actually held a Sprint Cup race at, even if was just an off-season exhibition race held 14 years ago. Monza and HSR would both go before Suzuka East, for authenticity's sake. What we really need is for PD to bring back Sonoma, so we could import that into our season schedule.

I know, but that doesn't make it any less of an awful track. Monza is the closest thing we have to Watkins Glen, so it should stay. I'm fine with ditching HSR, too.

Just pretend that Sonoma got torn down and turned into a shopping mall like Riverside, and we moved a few miles to Laguna Seca. ;)

I for one love the schedule Drop. I wouldn't want to change a thing.

Love the all Oval Chase and the three road courses have now become a firm part of this series. Suz E is my most feared but it really has a place here.

Good work mate 👍

what's the benefit to not having a road course in the chase, but 2 Daytona races anyway?

I just don't get it, personally.

I would personally not add Laguna Seca, it just doesn't make sense to have NASCARs there. Thats a SportsCar track. And I back Droptop up on Suzuka East. I personally would love to see Fuji GT, but since no one else cares for that, I really think HSR should stay as it's the only true Roval Course in this game (not IRL or like other g@y Rovals like Daytona's and Indy's).

And I think two road courses is enough in the SprintCup, IRL the ratio is 2 to 32 so for this series which is 15 races, ideally you only need 1 road course. But since GT5 hates Ovals we do 2 road courses in Sprint Cup. So we bend the rules a little there but then again IRL they don't use any Road Courses in the Chase because it's against the Integrity of NASCAR and it's Championship series. So ideally Nationwide would use the same format but with different Road Courses. But since again this is GT5, I think we can all except a few more road courses on the Nationwide schedule (4 to be exact, thats a 4 to 8 ratio).

What I am saying is the schedule looks good and if anything Nationwide should follow this more closely as support races and not get to far away from what it is. And I'm only putting my 2 cents in because I do wish to race in NW but my second job may come to an end in August thus making room for me again in this series (SC) if permitted and all goes well.

Because NASCAR turns left only in 94% of its full schedule and 100% in the chase. But then again idk if we are just doing whats fun in GT5 or what we think replicates the real thing. So idk? Sorry to sound like a jack@$$ if I'm coming off that way. Its just my opinion.

Nope, you're on track Crazy. This series is meant to replicate as much as GT5 allows us, so it makes sense that the S4 schedule is as it is :)

I think we can throw the whole oval vs road authenticity thing out the window. NASCAR only runs Daytona twice and Indy once, but we have them in there many times. I think we could at least make an exception for a road course in the chase.

I also don't think we should ever have SSRX on the schedule, that's not racing. But I think many will disagree

Times like these make me hope that the new NASCAR game is amazing so we could have a realistic NASCAR league on there. Judging by last year and people's reactions to it though, there's not a massive chance of that.

I'm neutral on a chase road race to be honest. Would rather not but It doesn't bother me massively.

If we are having 16 points races next year we should have 4 road course races, so we will have 1/4 of the races on a road course. For the chase, there should only be a single road course race. No less, no more. And said race should be at a track such as HSR or Motegi East.

HSR gives you an impression that you are racing on an oval while you are actually on a road course, while Motegi East bears a resemblance to Sonoma due to it's elevation changes and hairpin at the end.

I'm going to be running much as I can at Daytona this weekend in the #11. If anything unplanned happens I will let you know, only thing is I may be away on that day but usually i'm home a few hours before the race begins.

Exactly. It's frankly impossible to be "authentic" with track selection on GT5.

A balanced chase here includes a road course instead of a Daytona race. It's that simple.

A little off topic but this is brilliant. Love the graphics and spectaculer effects for the 2nd caution as well

I 'think' unless Dowhat shows up then that's a yes. But Furi will now miss out in Chase contention.

Think I have that right.

Yeah as far as I am aware you are Partyhat. I'm 100% sure i'm not in the Chase.
