I went back through and reviewed some laps, I wanted to make sure my reviews were accurate and consistent. Here's a more accurate list from the drivers I reviewed:
Carb: 16
Mule: 19
Smuffy: 24
Furi: 24
RPH: 26

I can produce the individual corners if needed.

I would be interested, then I can look back and see where I went wrong.

Was this ignoring all cuts on lap 2, and any cuts where cars were side-by-side in the Chicane or Ascari?

It's actually a matter of braking a little later. Braking early gives more opportunity of cutting them, turning in earlier.

EDIT : Sorry for the duncity of this. I can't figure out what TRM is, other than potentially Trial Mountain.

When you brake late, you go straight into the turn, and at a track like Monza, you will go right through the curbs, cutting across them.

I recommend that next season we actually have a clear picture / video guide pre-race of what boundaries are, that's easily accessible. End of the day its become a total mess and tbh I think the rules just prohibit any kind of attacking driving.

I agree to an extent; if NASCAR went through and penalised every cut in an average road race, everybody would be disqualified.

I can see why the rules were implemented but things need to be simplified in some fashion if only to make things easier for you, Drop.

GENERAL RACE RULES/PROCEDURES/ETIQUETTE:

[*]While cornering on road courses, the two outside tires must remain completely on the tarmac/concrete/pavement at all times. Rumble strips are NOT considered part of the tarmac/concrete/pavement. Anyone that is caught cutting corners can be assessed up to a 30-second penalty, per occurrence, at the discretion of the league host.

I take it this means that 30 seconds is the maximum time penalty that can be issued to a driver?

Did you read the quoted text?

'Per occurance'.

Do you actually read these things Furi?

Yes, it makes it sound like either 1. 30 seconds in maximum for driver. or 2. 30 seconds for ONE cut. (which would be totally outrageous). Seeing how nearly everyone is penalised  when will final results be? Motegi is this week...

EDIT: Yeah Tom, I got some screwed up interpretation in my brain. My bad

The rule is stated very clearly. The fact that nearly everyone cut is not my fault. It's simply my problem, because I have to go behind everyone to see how many times they violated the rule. Final results will be up when they are ready. Each review takes a little over an hour. I apologize for not skipping work and neglecting my family for the sake of getting our standings up faster. I'll ask my boss and wife if they are ok with me staying home tomorrow. Do you mind covering my lost wages?

Yeesh ok Drop... didn't mean to piss you off like that... sorry..

I'll do Matty or Neljack now, but will stop at 12 mate if that's ok as its late here. Just managed to get on now.

Ah, 16?

EDIT: I had a look myself for reassurance and I had 8 by lap 17.

Just realised I look like a fool because when I was looking at the post it said 1 thing, when I quoted it said something else and I've only realised now.

4C is not penalized, because of a push received from behind in the braking zone that caused knelly to not be able to slow down enough, resulting in a cut through the second half of the chicane.

Edit - I'm watching Tom's replay, and I see smuffy cut Lesmo2 on lap 21.

7A is not penalized, as a spinning car ahead caused Tom to take evasive action, resulting in a necessary cut.

Depending on penalties I may get second.. :)

Damn you Niop for being so clean, I could have done with a win... :dopey:

I hope that's the last we see of Monza in any GTP America event. Me and Matty have started focusing on Motegi long ago.

If I get second I'm in full support of it for next season.. :dopey:

Consider Monza replaced by Indy Road for Season 5.

Indy road.. You'll have to look over replay a lot.. Unless we can cut close to the tyre wall for T1..

Oh and the hairpins, just before them is another cutting spot.

Same amount of cutting spots as monza really, but easier to monitor I suppose.

ACDC was not penalized for a cut in 3C because of an accident in front of him, which required evasive action.

Tentative order:

1. Spurgy - 32 cuts (verified by Drop)
2. Niop (+30.495 seconds) - 3 cuts (drop)
3. gokartman (+40.350) - 30 cuts (drop)
4. neljack (+48.115) - 26 cuts (niop)
5. Matty (+51.820) - 9 cuts (niop)
6. smuffy (+75.139) - 24 cuts (Niop)
7. Furi (+75.476) - 24 cuts (Niop)
8. Carb (+75.546) - 16 cuts (Niop)
9. RPH (+90.375) - 26 cuts (Niop)
10. TomMcD (+94.711) - 11 cuts (drop)
11. Knelly (+96.485) - 7 cuts (drop)
12. Mule (+148.000) - 19 cuts (Niop)
13. Drop (+168.000) - 2 cuts (Niop and Knelly)
14. ACDC (+193.000) - 10 cuts (drop)

Penalties will be assessed as follows:
The lowest number of cuts recorded was 2.
2 cuts will be subtracted from all drivers, so that the least penalized driver has 0 penalties.
2 seconds will be added to the final finishing time for every remaining cut for all drivers.

The final race order is as follows:
