I can't be bothered arguing with you Furi, just stay the hell away from any HMS car next week.

eerrmm, my quarter panel had a few paint marks from the # 14.....

Gokart, yet lagged badly on a lot of occasions. Tom, its racing. As ya a big team I am not going to roll over and let not by.

Impatience detected..

I'm just defending myself being attacked from you, and being blamed by Spurgy. I never started any of this tonight, I never do.

And I'm the first to apologise if I have made an error (like at Monza).

Leave me alone, it's my birthday :(

What you have to remember as well is this track isn't a standard oval, there's lots of different lines people could take especially around T2(3/4 for Americans). For example I took a tighter line than most out of T1(2) which confused people bump drafting me sometimes.

The oval course is the only one of its kind in Japan, and currently is only used once a year for racing. It is a low-banked, 1.549-mile-long egg-shaped course, with turns 3 and 4 being much tighter than turns 1 and 2. On March 28, 1998, CART held the inaugural race at Twin Ring Motegi Speedway. The race was won by Mexican driver Adrian Fernandez. CART continued racing at Twin Ring Motegi Speedway from 1998-2002. In 2003, Honda entered the Indy Racing League and the race became a part of the IRL schedule. In addition to IndyCar Racing, the track has also hosted a single NASCAR exhibition race in 1998.

According to Wikipedia, looks like the Japanese also like to call it Turns 1,2 and Turns 3,4:sly:

Maybe its just an oval racing thing, but there is quite clearly only 2 corners

Indy was the first real oval, and it clearly has 4 turns. Everything else followed suit. Except Pocono.

Lol well it was a bad race for me, going to need to be more aggressive to get in the chase.

That was an epic race with the different strategies playing out right to the end. I couldn't understand how Red could be so fast and still run 25 lap stints. Well done with that, he was really in a class of his own. I thought for sure that Red had us covered by at least a half lap. But with the help of Kartman and Tom, we just just enough time to catch up and make a final lap pass.

Cheers to all, that was a great race. Nice job grabbing 6th(I think) Knelly, and thanks to Tom and Kartman for the bump-drafting

It was weird; I was spinning when the race started which took 15% from my tyres effectively ruining my first stint. Then I had the tyre glitch for two laps where you can't heat them up and you slide everywhere ruining them more; this went away for a while then seemingly came back for half a lap when I was in turn 4 in a ton dirty air at a high lock which was when I span. Strange, didn't affect me at all from then on.

I'd have asked for a restart but I didn't have the mic plugged in to explain and I didn't think it'd go down well anyway.

Race Battle of the Year: Awarded to the two (or more) drivers that put on the best battle for a position (not necessarily the lead) in a single race. The longer and cleaner the battle, the better.
Niop and RPH's final 22 laps at the Southern 300.

Race Comeback of the Year: Awarded to the driver that overcomes the most difficult setback to post a great finish in a single race. The driver doesn't necessarily have to win the race to be nominated for this award.
Niop catching RPH from being a lap down at around lap 145 at the Southern 300.

Unluckiest Driver of the Year: Awarded to the driver that exhibits the worst luck, through no fault of his own, over the course of the season.
RPH for leading the Southern 300 by one lap over second place for over a race for the majority of the race to get passed on lap 200/200 and finish 2nd.

Definatley mate, along with early Nomination for Most Improved for RPH 👍

Interesting. Will check mine tomorrow. Remember a while back you had a race where it added 0 miles? Brickyard I think!

I've had a bunch of races where no miles were registered, not sure what causes that.

Sprint Nomination: Rivalry Of The Year

Furi vs Knelly
SGR vs Hendrick

Already seems that way

Are you continuing with the video recaps from this week Drop? I don't want to write up a blog article now if you're gonna be doing that later in the week is all 👍

Think Drop said he's not going to be able to get things done till later in the week due to other commitments.

Blog away is what I say. No harm in having both.

Will put out a Euro Racecar one at some point as well.

I'm still way behind with video recaps, though I do hope to catch them up (maybe the Sep. 29th off week). I'm actually at work right now, logging a little weekend overtime. I'm also picking up more OT Monday and Tuesday night, so it's going to be until at least Wednesday before I get anything done with updating the league. I say blog away. Anything that can help pass the time will be welcomed. :)

I've got an article written up now, just waiting on interview responses from a couple of people :)

To try and get an idea, i've tallied up points, giving laps led to RPH, Niop, Kartman, Joe, Tom and Spurgy. Most and pole to RPH.

Combining with current this is what I think the table will look like:

01 72 Niop
02 53 Mule
03 46 Drop
04 41 RPH
05 37 Joe
06 34 ACDC
07 34 Spurgy
--
08 34 Carbon
--
09 33 Tom
10 32 Matty
11 28 Knelly
12 28 Furi
13 24 Akmuq
14 18 Mudd
15 16 Litchi
16 08 Dexter
--
Kartman on 29
Neljack on 21
Storm on 03

Not including any penalties or 2/3 points.

All to play for.
