Team GTP v the outsiders. :scared:

so 16 slots, with 20 entrants. hhmmm. pretty sure you don't need a degree in further quantum mathematics and theoretical arithmetic to work out that won't work.

if only there was a series which used a quali type system , like where you have the top 12 locked in :dopey: :sly:

Well this is NASCAR, which is always luck based... :nervous:

But, I suppose it's pretty clear which teams will compete for the title. ;)

Sorry, Pepsi stepped in and demanded we use the name "Pepsi Racing" or they wouldn't sponsor us. :nervous:

oh, thats a bit harsh. With GT5's awesome livery editors you could have made a pepsi livery, but run under DBC. then the sponsorship would have been MAXimized :sly:

Personnally, I think its pretty damn stupid for 2 drivers, both of which have questionable at best skills at this game, to come in and take nearly half a room's worth of slots, PM every single driver who has posted on this thread that they want a team, and ask for the time-slot to be changed, despite the fact Trucks is starting it's 3rd season at this time-slot, the exact same one, to the minute.

Anyway, the Mobil1-Pepsi-RPM battle should be quite fun.

Agreed. Anyhow C'n'T and Team Extreme have so many drivers to be honest I will just add them on a weekly basis. Must have a lot of pay drivers..

(No disrespect to you guys driving for James and Jakob, not your fault they are signing people left right and centre.)

How about the ones not running for any big team? Like Knelly? What's exactly their chance in getting in the room? :scared:

BTW, there should be a draft next time we're starting a new season.

I think people should be let him in the order they were signed up, if you signed up earlier than someone, you should get a spot first, only for the first race though, after that it's championship position :)

Disagree. The order you sign up is not any indication of whether or not you should be allowed on track.

Or... lock in the top 12 from last season for the first couple races... and if they can't make it a team mate of theirs can take their spot? A cross between the TOCA top 12 system and the real life NASCAR owners points system? 💡

@Spurgy, I don't agree either.

I like this idea.

The top 35 Sprint Cup owners are no longer locked in to a race in 2013. The fastest 36 qualifiers are locked in, regardless of points position. The last seven starting spots (or six plus a past champion) in the race are then awarded based on owners points for registered entries.

In theory, only the top six positions are truly locked in. If the top eight in points all qualified outside the top 36 fastest speeds, the eighth place driver in points wouldn't make the race.

So that means Danica could actually not qualify altogether for the races? :D

It's basically a guarantee that she will miss some races.
