I´m sorry for my bad english. Have mercy on me. :nervous:

I want to join like a student in this academy. :dopey:

Contact details are in the original post. Just PM an instructor to get started.

Welcome to GTP.

Hey,

Not sure your still looking for instructors, but I'm up for being one for both "No Driving Aids" and "Automatic to Manual". I am always on GT5 when not in work, and I have a mic and keyboard. I use Dualshock 3 and cater for all ranges of car.

PSN ID: Burnout-Addict

Let me know.

I want to learn "Automatic" to "Manual", Do you think you could improve one second on lap of 1 minute with manual? :guilty:

Id say yes, you can improve one second for one minute depending the track of course.
:)

Yeah. Should be possible. Until I hear whether I'm an instructor or not, you may want to approach an approved instructor.

Good to see this thread circulating more. With $20 XL out, I'm sure we'll see more new members and more students.

Yes, you can improve. I will be glad to teach you. PM me for a session.

Same. 👍

Glad to see you guys doing an awesome job helping people out so far. :)👍

Do you take suggestions?

Something good to teach could be "Protecting yourself from rammers, rude, or too-eager drivers in public lobbies" Could be knowing what to do when someone divebombs into your line, or when you brake and the person behind you makes you a pinball. Stuff like that.

Think of it as driving for the president?

Wouldn't that be defensive driving? Already have it as a category but I think I should put a more clear description.

I'd sign up but I fear commitment

Commitment shouldn't be a problem, you can help out whenever you think is appropriate for you.

I need help on Daytona , specificly on the Jeff Gordon Academy -> Advanced -> Last 2 laps at Daytona.

I can't catch the others because when cornering I lose about 10 - 20 mph on speed. :indiff:

Who can help me ? :dopey:

Is there anyone who can help me with the license test? I almost broke a controller trying to get gold on B-7...

If you want help, please PM an instructor listed in the OP. It's only been mentioned 15 previous times.

Anyone need help with racing in general today? I'm feeling very generous today. Send me a FR on PSN.

Interested in helping me get a 550PP Lamborghini around Nurburgring? I know the track fairly well and have been doing the No.4 seasonal with only ABS1, no driving line either, which is new to me. Using LM cars of course; Oreca Viper, Camaro, Gran Turismo ford GT, etc.

Any one can help me with a Driving Force Gran Turismo ? DS3 player since game came out , got a DFGT 3 days ago . I'm already getting the hang of it but there are some things I can't tame yet , the wheel wants to drive by it self (like if it helps), to much understeer , I also would like some tips on wheel drifting :boggled:

Thanks.

Hmm, yeah I could help you with that, PM me:tup:

I'm thinking about making a video, or several split videos teaching about racing techniques and strategies. I'll try and cover everything from the bare basics, to managing tyre wear, respecting a car's weight transfer and tyre grip limits, alternative racing lines, attacking and defending positions and predicting other racer's movements in advance. If I can get my microphone to record, then I'll provide detailed commentary on each subject, as I don't like the idea of pausing a video countless times to read speech boxes.

Not sure if it would be worthy of it's own thread, or to just stick it in here. Hope I can gain some interest and help other people out. I know the game's been out a long time now, but if it's useful then I'll go ahead with the plan.

I'm not sure if you still need help, but these videos are great for getting golds on the license tests.

I think it's a great idea, especially if it's well done and professional looking. In addition to the stuff you mentioned, I think the one thing most drivers really need help with is racecraft, that is, how to think and strategize while on the track. I can't tell you how many times I'm racing with someone who is even with me in terms of lap times, and they are attacking every corner or with every little chance they get. If you're in second and third with three laps to go, 2 seconds behind the leader and you want a shot at winning, attacking the second place driver who has the pace to catch the leader isn't the smartest idea. Trying to pass the pole sitter in the second hairpin at Tsukuba on lap 2 of a 25 lap race doesn't make a lot of sense either, especially when you've broken free of the pack. Squeezing inside someone in the esses at Suzuka often leads to contact and ruined races. Passing coming out of the last tunnel at Deep Forest Reverse doesn't make a lot of sense when you are just going to get re-passed on the straight.

I'd like to know if I can still partake in these lessons? I don't want to send a PM to an instructor in case they're no longer interested in teaching, and it seems the OP hasn't posted in a while either - I just want to know who is still active with this and if any of you can help.

Generally I need help with online racing - racing real people etc and switching to MT with a DFGT - this is the last thing I have needed to do with the aids, not going to bother switching ABS off because I think thats extreme for me, but I would like to switch to MT to see if I can get better laps.

PM me if someone can help - would be useful for some help on the ring too.

You know, I've kept a tab open with this thread all day while trying to compose a similar message. So, if you don't mind, I will make your words mine. :)

I also need some help in regards dealing with random online people. I generally stay away from online, so, I don't have my circle of friends to race with. Hence, I don't build enough trust to pull dangerous moves on other drivers.
I'm too nice I guess, and I always end up paying for it later. I always try my best to stay away from close packs of cars, because I'm too sacred of accidentally casing a crash and jeopardize someone's race. :scared:

Host on a regular basis, and don't be afraid to kick anyone for anything.

Okay, well I'm on UK time so can't make 4am races - who is the best to contact?

Check the instructor profiles, there's usually info on where we're located.

I used GTP Racing School's services this week. Second time since you guys have started this up. Mitchman17 was very helpful and informative. I appreciate the help guys! I'll be back.

Hollow, I should have said earlier, but I was actually just being sarcastic when I said I could do the Aggresive driving. :P

I'm just telling you so people don't end up 'waiting' for me or anything.

Sorry for being misleading. :)
